I´ve had a cut track warning at the third turn of the track many times, while I have been miles away from the track edge, I have not gone off track at all there. It is on the left-right-right spot from the start straight. I hope I got that explained correctly. What is the problem?

This is a different version of the track to the one used previously, so it's possible there could be a few bugs...remember Brands Hatch?

It's still possible that changing that caused the cut detection to change. They're both in the same file.

I suppose.....but It would be a difficult thing to do unintentionally.....may be the same file but totally seperate areas and statements....hopfully some more folk can test and see what the prob is.

Errr...to make sure we are on the same wavelength here....you forgot the 'Laugh' smiley in your quote of my reply....just so you dont think I was 'having a go' or being personal  ;)

Hopefully it is not going to be a problem....this is a great track but we have suffered with enough probs here and I really hope this is just 'you' so to speak  :).....couldn't be doing with more troubles here.  :(

My GTL disk is.......(currently burried in the cats head after him scratching it so badly) it is unusable  :o ;D
and I'm hoping my new one arrives in time for this race.....so I hope all is well....cum on regulars....get testing. ;)

Just done 30+ laps took out the Falcon for a bit of girth  ;D  the cut warning on the second corner looks a bit inconsistent  ??? didn't get any warnings with all four wheels on the track, got 1 warning out of 8 or so laps with two wheels over the kerb on the grass, got 2 warnings out of 8 or so laps with all four wheels on the grass .
Don't know if this is any help?
Oh and by the way 139.283 in the Falcon on default setup.

Sounds like the track borders have slipped...so it thinks the grass on the inside is track and the track on the outside is grass...

If you had put back the disc in its little case then the cat would have had a problem opening the box...so its your own fault... Ive used abandoned discs as coasters before now, not my fault!! Im with the cat on this one ;D

I'm getting a weird cut track at about turn six(?)... (the left hander at the bottom of the hill about half way round the track)... All four wheels defo still on track each time.
I drove for two hours & only got it twice. Once in Falcon, once in Mini. Then we had the 3 lap race & I got the cut warning twice (once witnessed by Matt), both with the car totally on the track. Matt mentioned he's having a similar problem but at the top of Turn two.

Ade, Matt & me were having great fun with the Falcon/Cortina/mini combo... The falcon makes it special  >:D

Is true there are some dodgy cut track warnings, I watched Legzy last night as he got one
and he looked to be on track to me. I am getting one regular at the right hander at the top
of the hill, I guess T2, but further round than the apex, with a normal line you don't get it
but go a bit late and drift wide and you get one every time, although all 4 are very definately
on the grey stuff, or you'd be over the grass and in the fence

Didn't seem bad enough to abandon to me, as long as people know.
Does this mean an alternative track?

Ta Ade
Those docs talk about how to back up your garage it seems.
I made the somthin.DYN file, created a new player.
I own 203 out of 203 cars in the game
but dedicated server sees only the standard cars, it sees add on tracks ok
I've been in with normal game and entered online serial, loged in to server etc

Everyone's a comedian!  ;)

I was desperate to run the Falcon round here after seeing what fun it was here last time... but I'm 3/4 seconds slower then in the mini & Cortina (1:39). What with all my off road jaunts here, I can't afford to be that much slower each clean lap as well :(  I'll keep trying out the Falcon to see if I can get it down.

Sorry just to confirm, these cut track warnings aren't going to be a prob tonight are they?

Put in a few laps yesterday and lost count of the number I got both around the outside of the first right hander and at the left after the first of the two chicances (Mansfield I think it is?).

My fastest lap in qually, first time into the 37's. After a few laps was trying to get up to the large 9th'ish battle with Tibs right behind me through the last bend and my PC just froze ??? >:( Hope i didnt affect you Tibs? After about 10secs it dropped me back to the grid/ monitor page as i was frantically hitting Esc and all the textures were screwed in the monitor and it wasnt showing the standings. Think i'll try out that Nvidia patch now...

And last week i fitted one of these to my 8800GTS to make sure it wasnt overheating...

Crikey, I might suck at Cadwell but thats the best race I've had in a while :)

Chuffed with new pb in quali and couldn't wait for the start to put my new clutch into action. I have either mastered clutch starts or the Falcon had a bit of an advantage  ;) Either way found myself into 8th half way around lap. Then, I only to hang on for 24 and half laps  Tried my darnest to hold everyone up and I gotta praise Ade, Matt, Phil, Dyno and Tibs for their race craft. None of them gave me the slightest tap and all worked patiently to put in a pass (all of them figured out I couldn't stop for downhill rightender in the end ::)) Great stuff.

Congrats to podium and real bad luck to Phil who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time :'(

Yeah, that was a great race!

For rounds had a cat/mouse game with Sandor. Then with Tibs(?).
In the end managed to hold a solid 14th place.. Yeeeaaaah, 1 point I thought @ lap 24 and went of the finish line with ligths ablaze.... but wait, another lap ??!!!
NNNNNOOOoooo, only had 1,5 liter left in the tank.. so off the throttle early and hoping for the best (had no clue how many laps were left..)
Finished eventually with 0,7 liter left....  :-\ Yet another rookie mistake....

Thanks all for the clean race.

ps. hope the news wasn't too bad

Corker of a race and Q session!
I got lucky with my timing in Q and managed to claim P2 in the dying seconds - really surprised myself coz it didn't feel THAT much faster than my previous P6 time but I must have got something right in the last sector!

Made an OKish start but couldn't challenge Dan for the lead but we stuck to each other like glue for the 1st half of the race!! Never more than 0.8 apart :D

Eventually Dan made a small mistake going uo the hill out of the chicane and I managed to get past (with a bit of bumper remodelling ;) )   - so now the pressure was on me to hold it... which I managed... for almost a lap! I took the left hander at the bottom of the hill too sharply and slipped onto the grass on the inside, lost momentum and Dan was back through!

Chased for all I was worth until the end but think I caned my tyres then I started dropping back into the clutches of Steve and Oily behind me in the last couple of laps!

Good solid drive by Dan, well done! I like!!

Great race but really hard work.
Managed to get a pb in qually to get pole and just about held of Bara into first corner , tried to brake away which didnt happen as it was Bara behind.  Gap stayed the same for about 10 laps with both of us quicker at different parts of the circuit , Then got on the grass coming out of the Mountain and Bara went through.
For a moment i thought Bara was going to pull the plug but he dropped two wheels on to the grass and i won the drag race up towards the mountain.  Put 5 really consistent laps in and managed to get a 3 second lead and brought it home.

Just watched the replay ..great racing between SBG, Phil and Matt top stuff :)

Grats to rest of podium .

Bring on the championship decider at Snetterton. ;D

Wasn't expecting to make the race so to find myself on the grid was a bit of a gift!

Had a rough race thanks to my kid. Easily lost a minute overall thanks to him. But man that race was fun. Cadwell is awesome! And that Mini was divine!

My pathetic finishing position in no way reflects the fun I had out there.  ;D

Excellent race overall. On one hand it was fun to take turns at hassling SBG., I even slowed on the
back straight to let Tibs have a go at him... well, Phil had tried for a few laps, Ade for a few
I'd had a damm good go.. maybe Tibs could shake him  ;D
I ended up at the front of this new game "Chase the Pasty" kinda like cheese rolling, and welly
chucking, only faster. Spent several laps tryin to find the chink, it is unbelievable how hard it is
to pass a car you cna zoom up behind with little effort, but the dam thing just pulls away on the staights
only chance was bottom of hill after gooseneck, or into the mountain, but that was hard as the
big lump (Falcon that is not SBG) wandered across the track so much, it was all I could do to avoid contact.
Oh yes, the other hand, it was frustrating t watch the rest of the field disappear into the distance
and not be able to keep up, still, the Podgy V8 Pasty bunched us up so much it was fun to pass,
be passed, and repass, giving the baton to one after the other, if we'd been on team speak
it would have been "Right, I'll stay left, you go hassle him!"  ;D
Anyroadup, I barged past at the bottom of the hill into Mansfield, and set about tryin to catch the rest
of the field, if it had been an enduro I might have joined the party in front, I began to See Blunder
in front, but not enough laps to do anything about him. Dan was right, there was some SERIOUSLY
grown up bumper to bumper racing going on for 8th place!.. or was it 9th  :-\

Shame psuedo is busy, this is one replay I HAVE to watch!

Yes sorry about trying to climb in through the drivers window :o Great racing from start to finish and them there Falcons are soooooo wiiiiiide  :D thought i would never get past SBG but he made one little mistake and ran wide at the bottom of the hill so it took up his kind offer of the place.

                                            Great stuff  :thumbup2: Cheers Ade

What the heck, why use 100 words when a 1000 will do..
I was late joining, as I had some blokes fitting a new boiler
Was still running round checking for leaks at 20 to nine
Got 6 mins qual, PB was 36.9, managed 37.5? maybe .7
took full race fuel setup, didnt have time to take a light
losse qual setup, suffered for it, but then if I'd have qual'ed
higher I would not have had such fun

Had some great race with teammate Alex just in front of me for half the race.
Then suddenly my times dropped by a second per lap and I had problems concentrating on the race.

Hoped to race with Legzy at that point but he just blasted by and I never saw him again .

Ah well , had fun last night. Unfortunately have to miss the next race.

" I gotta praise Ade, Matt, Phil, Dyno and Tibs for their race craft. None of them gave me the slightest tap..."

Sorry Ginsters, from my mirrors I saw sparks fly when I passed you finally ... Falcon pulled away during the straights but did wider lines around the turns, so I kinda waited for my chance and when you went a little wide got by with no real harm to anyone except the scraped paint, thanks for letting me through! Nice battle!  ;D

Great track/car combination match up here. I wish we did more TC-65 races.  :whistling:

Having said that, the race didn't really live up to my expectations in the end (due entirely to my own poor driving/concentration).
Overtook Dyno in the 1st or 2nd lap & slowly eeked out a comfort gap. Was hanging onto the back of Tibs & the other guys in the moving road block fight for the 1st half of the race, then flung myself off track which allowed a few people through, caught Mooijekind & Alex back up, & was hoping to lock horns for the remaining laps... threw myself off the track again. Worked hard again, managed to catch Mooijekind  again, but he went off (spectacularly) in the chicane just as I was getting within distance to race. Pushed on but it took a good while to catch Alex again & stupidly threw myself off track again!!!   :-[ :-X :'( >:( ::) :surrender:

So by the end of the race, I finished in the same position I qualified (one place outside the points) having overtaken one car & not been overtaken by anyone when I wasn't 'parked up' all race.

Damage limitation for me, like sbg not a track I can get to grips with, I do best on fast corners, these slow ones here hurt, I'm so lumpen through them, as Oily can now confirm.   ;)  Intense racing mate, I really feel for you, I suspect you may have had the pace to win this one, but you had the bad luck to get stuck behind a slower car that was determined not to give the place up, it's the championship ya know.  ;D

Massive credit to you for avoiding me as I lumbered through some of those slow corners, I could see you having to take evasive as I braked earlier and apexed slower but bottled you up nicely, you must have been going mad trying to work out where to get by.

Really struggled to get into this track, couldn't get within a second of my pace in the fun race 3 months back both times I practiced, but I guess the adrenaline of the race meet kicks in and I found some speed, although my pace was really only good enough for 4th, flattered by one or two abnormally quick laps, the rest were much slower.

Grats to Dan and Bara, looked like fun from a few seconds back.  :)

Well at least Snetterton is a track more to my liking, but I'm gonna have to take the 906 and I've never been hugely quick in the 76ers, lots of practice for me, just 6 points in it Dan, with Bara still in with a chance.  Exciting.  ;D

Hey not at all Steve, awesome fun running nose to tail, couldn't fit a "waffer thin mint" in the gap at times, bits of that replay will be well worth a look  ;D

Obviously it would have been nice to make a move stick but it wasn't to be, I didn't want to risk taking you out with a half chance so was hoping to harrass the hell out of you ion the off-chance you'd drop a wheel off but you got a great start and drove really well throughout. Quite a few times I found myself overdriving, lawn mowing, barrier bashing you name it lol. Some valuable lessons learned from that one me thinks - but really well done, 25 laps went by in the blink of an eye!

Grats Minton, that was some lap in qually, and to Bara, really nice to see your connection holding out, was hoping we might end up in a three way grandstand finish but I think that may have been optimistic  ;D

Thanks lappees, always tricky around here but absolutely no issues at all and hopefully your own races stayed intact.

Brilliant to see plenty of green ones in the field, and some great times there Tibs, truly the Mini specialist  ;D

Next!  :fencing:

Nothing much to say....a first few laps with close racing with Martin, a good dice
for some laps with  Geoffers and two places conquered, not bad.
Not one of my favourite tracks honestly.
Cheers

Busy week so only managed an hour of practice before Thursday!
Would have loved to have taken the Falcon like last year but lack of time meant I was way off pace.  :(
Quickly got into the Cortina and managed a 1.39 ? Got a super set up from Legzy ( Thanks buddy ) and then managed a 1.38.3 and was pleased with that!  :)
Went into Quali and stuck in a 1.36.5 ! Wow, can't understand where that came from! but am not complaining!  :)
Started in 6th, pribeiro got past me before the first corner and i was 7th then for the hole rest of the race!
Hung onto pribeiro and geoffers for a good few laps but then slowly dropped back due to inconsistency!
Loved seeing the rest of the field dissappear behind sbg's mobile chicane!  ;D
Took me back to last year when we had the same battles!  ;D Actually I think it was 2 Falcons behind each other last year that did the same damage!  ;D
Shame i didn't have time to get used to the Falcon again, that would have been really fun!

Oh, must hold up a 5 and a 9, (like the ice skating) for Bill's marvelous tripple salco with 7 1/2 twists in the tuck position, right in front of me ! about a third through the race!
Very entertaining!!!

( Sorry to see it was the end of your race buddy but you did make me chuckle! )

We must do an all Falcon event around here some time, had a huge grin on my face throwing it about in practice but could just never get it up to Cortina pace, that and I could only get two good laps before the tires were fried lol  ;D

Happy with my race result, first time I've finished a race at Cadwell without any major mishaps.

Struggled in qually to break 1.37 until I noticed my setup had the wrong toe-in to what I normally use in the Mini. Changed it & immediately did 1.36.0! ;D

In the race I spent the early laps trying to stay with Steve & Mr Oily but after lap 3 they gradually pulled away & I had PRibeiro snapping at my heels. I made a slight mistake at the Mountain about lap 5 which let PR through & almost Martin too. Chased PR for many laps, at the same time easing away from Martin. PR got to about 3s ahead when I had a slight lag induced off at the final turn (Barn?), which saw me go up the bank on the inside :o. Fortunately I got back on the track Ok with just a few seconds lost. So came home 6th (first Mini  ;D) about 10s behind PR & about 10s ahead of Martin.

Congrats to Dan, Bara & Steve.

Off to practice in the McLaren for Snetterton.

Geoffers

What a blast that was, a real laugh. Like a pack of wild dogs snapping at SBG's huge, wobbling derrière. Didn't feel I could pass him safely so just kept up the pressure and hoped he would make a mistake, which he didn't. A dance with a Spinning Dutchman set me back a bit but I managed to catch him on the last lap and had one last desperate lunge, but he defended well and I had to settle for a place behind his swaying backside. Brilliant fun. Unfortunately, it's a battle my chair didn't survive. Look at the state of my haddocking seat. That was a fully functioning and intact piece of office furniture at the start of the race!

How do you manage to drive sitting on a chair with castors on a wooden floor?

Surely every time you press the pedals you propel yourself away from your screen  ???

Judging by your damage imprint... I deduce it was edge of the seat racing!?

p.s. DIY on the flooring was it? Nice tidy job if it was  :)

I rest my heel on the pedal plate and rotate the foot around the heel. There is no backwards force, probably helped by the fact that the pedals are old and knackered and the springs don't offer much resistance anymore.

p.s. DIY on the flooring was it? Nice tidy job if it was  :)

I'd like to take the credit for it but I can't. It was here before I was.
