Depending on the entries, I'm hoping to make the show as a reserve.  Unfortunately, I'm tagged for some overtime tomorrow and won't be able to make it til the closing moments of Q and even then, I'll have to hurry home to make it.

Best of Luck, Chaps!   :)

Looks like I'm stuck in an inferior car for tonight  :'(
I had better perform well so as not to incur Her wrath  ;D

I'm guessing the race is 24laps as per Clubmans?

I registered for historic earlier on today, so would be good if I could join this race if I can be added to the driver list in this championship in time.  Cheers.

Was looking like it would be a hard slog to the end if I was to finish well, qualified in 6th after having a draft-free practice session.
Race started ok, didn't really loose places or gain them until DD, where I ran wide to avoid cars on my right and went slightly too wide. Found myself in 8th by the end of the fisrt lap as a result.
All was looking hopefull now though as the cars behind were dropping back and the cars infront were slowly getting nearer  ;D
Sadly Fulvio span in T1 (*edit; Have just viewed the replay and there was nothing else you could have done FP :) ) and settled just infront of me while I was at the tail end of the group I was chasing. Vaguely remember trying and failing to miss him, then I appeared to jump over his car and land heavily in the infield. Was even more amazed to find the car still working and drivable so rejoined and set off after everyone.
It became very quickly clear that my front suspension was heavily messed up as the wheel was bucking randomly and uncontrollably all down the main straight, then on turning in for DD nothing happened and I ended up running very wide*  :(
Considered throwing the towel in as Prib was displaying 20laps to go, decided against it as there were bound to be more DNF's before the end of a race at Pro level...
Ended up finishing 11th in the end after a very long and hard slog, could barely drive straight and the car would try throwing me into the barriers/off onto the grass everytime I braked hard for DD and Parc - much like a horse trying to buck its rider.   Ending 1 lap down and with Hristo snapping at my heals a second time as I began my final lap seemed like a real achievement come the end

Anyway, no hard feelings here Fulvio - you were unavoidable *intentional pun*  ;)
Hope I didn't get in anyone elses way or worry them too much with some of my more random wobbles!

*GPLRA claimed I 'moderatly' damaged my rear left suspension aswell (heavy being no wheel left?!) which would have been the cause behind my inabilty to turn right at any speed - seemed to help me go left quite fast though

A PB in qually was enough for second spot on the grid behind Hristo’s amazing lap in the Lotus.  Must watch that if it is on my replay.

At the start I managed to keep second spot and had Dave Randall for company in third.  The first few laps were a bit of a nightmare, being in Hristo’s tow and having Dave in mine.  I was so desperate not to hit H that I was braking too early and letting him get away.  I think that, had I been brave enough, I should have been able to keep hold of him but once the serious tow was lost there was only ever going to be one result.

Thankfully, on lap six, Dave had a wobble in response to my wobble at DD and he took to the grass.  Next lap round my pit board said that he was eight seconds back and since I was still getting a tow this stretched to eleven by about lap ten or eleven.

At this point Paul appeared on my pit board, which was a worry as I had seen him join at the last minute and thus it implied that he had fought his way through the rest of the field.  After a few laps it appeared that Paul couldn’t catch me unless I did something daft and by then Hristo had put the hammer down.

From that point I could only lose second place and there was always the hope that Hristo would hit trouble so I just kept it steady.

Grats to Hristo and thanks to everyone who pulled over and let me through as I lapped them.  My Numptygraph shows that you didn’t even cause me to break step.

Well done to Bernie and Steve on getting to the finish.

Shame about Dave letting Evil through at the end.

I was surprised by how well the Lotus handled especially after some setup tweaks during qualifying. Sure, it was tricky, mainly on throttle,  but it had very good potential. It also had enough power on the straight so I could keep 1st after the start, though as Clive says and what I was expecting to see, he could've kept within my tow and never let me build a gap, but lucky for me that didn't happen.
I was taking it a bit easy in the first half of the race then I increased my pace and went for it as the car felt consistent and predictable to drive.
Although we had a smaller field it was nice to see the gaps being so close in the end, so grats all.

Grats to Hristo for a fine drive to a convincing win.  Kudos to Clive for a well-earned P2.  Great job by Paul to vault all the way to a P3 finish from the back of the grid.  Swell run there, PS.

I had a disappointing outing.  After hurrying home from work, I just made the start and managed a couple of laps only in Q to start well back.  I was happy just to make it but was chagrined to see that if I'd had proper time to make a speed run, I may have started as far up as P7 on the grid.

On the grid, I got a bit of a shock as it seemed in my haste to make the race, I'd neglected to calibrate my G25's clutch pedal.  DOH!!!  I snicked it into gear on the grid and just touched the throttle pedal and was amazed to see my P83 creep forward an inch or two.  YIKES!  Thinking that, 'No, this can't be!', I touched the gas again and yes, it moved forward just a smidge even with the clutch pedal all the way down.  Good grief!  I was in rather a quandry when the flag fell I can tell you.  When it did, all I could think of was just putting the throttle down and all the big H-16 could do was just chug away at a crawl.  I was instantly swallowed up by a couple of Ferraris but was thankful to not be hit up the bum at least.

Getting down into the far hairpin for the first time, I was mindful of Phil and Paul just ahead but still overshot to cuff PT in the tail.  Thankfully, he didn't spin but I lost considerable speed tip-toing around the outside.  Over the next several laps, I managed to move up a few spots first with Aulden...who's connection must have been very poor since his McLaren was bouncing around all over the place...and then to Steve who had the misfortune to spin off right in front of me in the T1 complex.  This left a bit of a gap up to Phil and over the next several laps, I managed to home in on him and engage in a tight battle for position.  PT's Ferrari was very fast and he defended well at the far hairpin by running a tight approach on the right.  Not much chance to get a pass there.  We ran in tight formation for a number of laps til suddenly, my H-16 started to gasp and fall away.  I'M OUT OF GAS!!!  Grrr...  A blunder on setting my race fuel.  Nothing to do but pull over and call it a day.

Another miserable day for team pie eater , I was just too slow in the Coop and never came near doing it justice ,tried too hard to make the thing go faster but the result was ragged driving and more spins than torville and dean at the olympics . I spent practise trying to find a setup that I coud drive easily over the race distance and yet have some speed , but in the end ran out of time  ::)

You could have had my Cooper if I had known that you wanted it.  I offered it to Phil but he has a thing about Ferraris!

My setup was a Steve Cloyd Mexico with the diff changed to 45/60/1 and the brake bias at 50%.

You need to start looking for a <3ltr 66 for Kyalami now as they are like hen's teeth.

I shall probably start with a Watkins Glen.

Thanks boss , I am now rapidly reaching the conclusion that the fault is NOT caused by the set ups or the car.

Kyalami will be a good test as its a track I know well having spent hte last 10 years trying to get neg there .

forgot to add ,The reason ?  i've prolly been driving it wrong all this time  ::)
