My entry for this round is really up in the air, fellas.

Sad to report that my boss at work passed away suddenly mid-week and the business, a NAPA auto parts store, is in an up-roar as to whom does what, where and when.  Normally, I'd have the Tuesday off but I've been called in for tomorrow and may be seconded to a 2nd store.  If that is the case...and it seems likely to be as things get sorted out..., I'll be a DNE.

Good Luck!

Can I take that IP to be a permanent IP for UKGPL_6? or is it one that is likely to change?

I have a dynamic IP but 9 times out of 10 seems to be this one. Can't take it as guaranteed unfortunately...

Getting seriously fed up now - I can't seem to race without hitting someone.
If I don't stop doing this then I'm hanging up the towel for everyone elses sake.

Hope I didn't ruin your race Clive  :(

The Lotus BRM wasn't too bad in the corners, although I had to be careful with the throttle and the car's tendency to go from understeer to oversteer, but overall it was fast enough and the engine was powerful enough to cope with the slipstream issue.
After a good start I led evil into T1 and he was fast enough to stay right behind for a good number of laps after. He could've made a pass on couple of occasions after getting a slipstream towards T1 but he never choose to which was somewhat dangerous at times as he was braking too close for comfort behind me. Eventually he braked too late and I went wide to try and give him room but he went off and dropped to 3 seconds behind.
Nothing much happened in the remaining laps and as the fuel load went low I could further extend my lead.
Perfect result for Waza again, a 1-2!

My first ever race in the Brabham BRM, didn't realise what I had been missing !!

Got a real good start, getting past Dave  and probably could have had a go at Evil into T1, but was happy to settle in behind the Hot-Shots :) Hung onto their coat tails for a couple of laps, until the Talent ran out at T1 and I dropped to 7th, behind Tim, Paul, Syd and Dave.

Caught my Drake Racing captain after a couple of laps, and he let me by and that then lead me up to Mr Randall, which was a dice that lasted the rest of the race. I slipstreamed by but couldn't get rid of him :D

Tim and Paul both did the honourable thing and stymied themselves, leaving me to get back onto the final step of the Podium.

Grats to Evil and Hristo on their virtuoso performances :D

As always this season, the first few laps were almost too exciting and difficult to settle into a nice rhythm, making sure everyone close had enough, but hopefully not too much room!  Found some space though before having Paul Skingley on my tail and past, came back at him once at the end of the straight with a later than anticipated pass, thanks to putting two wheels off the track and Paul's impressive awareness I made it through without incident but not for long as he eventually left me to the clutches of the recovering Mike.  Mike was going well and it took all my concentration and a bit of welcome tow to stay with him for much of the race, with initial thoughts of perhaps pressuring him later on.  This wasn't to be, a single error meant I was unable to keep close enough for the remaining laps and was to finish 4th after Paul's strange exit as he pulled over without an obvious problem from what I could see from the replay.

Congrats to Hristo (that best lap is 3 tenths faster than the current WR shown in GPL Rank!?) and shows what we are up against!  Well done also to Clive and Mike who well deserved their podium finish.

Getting seriously fed up now - I can't seem to race without hitting someone.

Usually me!

If I don't stop doing this then I'm hanging up the towel for everyone elses sake.

No need for that but I hope you have been cured of changing moving about on the way to T1.  I started in your blind spot and apart from a very brief appearance stayed in it until you clobbered me.  You just have to keep it straight and level all the way to T1.  Sometimes I go through a couple of corners before I am convinced that all the track is mine.

Evil will be distraught if you quit as you have contributed mightily to the Wasser points haul.  Well, you have stopped us from getting much any way and then your two co-conspirators are able to mop up!

Hope I didn't ruin your race Clive  :(

LOL  You didn't help much.  But it was looking a bit flakey already.

I arrived home at about 9:15 after driving from Preston to Swindon and back.  Said hello to Pam and then sat down to race.  Something for which I have not yet been forgiven!

I usually do at least 40 minutes of warm up before a race to get back in the groove.  Particularly with all this mod hopping we do these days.

That was not to be.  Managed a couple of qually laps and then I was on the grid.

As we know, I almost made it to T1 before the Wasser's "sweeper" took care of me.

As luck would have it my Lotus was unscathed but Tim was minus a wheel.  Not like Colin Chapman to make them that strong but I was still in the race, albeit last.

I passed some people and others threw them selves on the grass.  Thanks to Steve for letting me through on two occasions after a grassy moment.

I nearly binned it on the last lap and grats to Steve and Bernie for staying the distance and getting the better of Syd on the last lap.

SOGGIES need a strategy to cope with the Wasser's sweeper.

I'm not planning on binning it Clive, but I'm not happy at constantly 'sweeping' as you put it.
I get no real enjoyment from races where I've either hit someone physically or by proxy (lag monster).
Taking myself out -even at the expense of a near gaurenteed win (ala D1 Snett) - is one thing, but I can't be ending other peoples races when I muck up.

As for it usually being you, I guess that's just because we normally have roughly the same pace, sure as hell isn't on purpose. Tuesday night I reacted to the eagle that pounced on me after the start and must have forgotten you - until my wheel fell off that is :ninja:

Hoping to be back on form after our break for the Nurburgring

I felt absolutely gutted when I drove by Syd's smoking fezza  ;D

Where's Burt when you need him  ::)

I to only got sat behind the wheel with 20 mins of practise left,  not only late (problems with Igor) but sat in the wrong car and with no set up, except the default one. I spent practise trying to sort things out , but I think the gearbox was wrong as you all dissapeared into the distance . I could make time up in the twisties but that loooong straight had me losing out every lap , and with no chance of a tow  ::)
