Notes:
(1) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3349.0) - especially the speed limiter starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages.
(2) Standings and schedule can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R;group=197;theme=3)
(3) You will not be able to join the server without the car and track (see links above).
(4) Drivers may only change car once in the season without penalty.
(5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced.
(6) Please use the Driver Details (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=profile;sa=driver_info) page to ensure that the league management software has your correct GTR2 'Driving Name' (not necessarily the same as your lobby name).
(7) Note that Snetterton only has 26 grid spots so the server will be set to 26 maximum; this is more than have joined the last two races so everyone should be able to get a spot.

Note - server will be set to 26 maximum as that's all the track supports. Hopefully that will be enough - it's more than have attended the last two races in this series.

Sorry guys...is this a championship race or a fun event? If I may, i'll race with pleasure!

I downloaded these 2 files, because i read that the race is run with the GTC skins.
1) UKGTR_cars_2.9.1.0.exe
2) UKGTR_skins_GTC_2.9.5.1.exe

That's enough or i have to install all other cars of physics pack?
I wait for an answer, thanks guys!

I've turned only 4 laps and managed a 1.06.6 with a F430. And...how quick is your best lap guys?

Whats the deal with T2? There is a big runoff strip outside the white line. Can we use this?

Assuming you don't get a cut warning, yes.

I've used it myself in real life.

Just the once. :D

Exiting pits: where is it allowed to join the racing line - providing there's no car behind?  :)  There's a yellow line running there for some lenght. Say, can join the "proper" track where the yellow line ends?

As usual, I'm well off pace here in the high 1:07s.  ::)

I've run the Z4, 430, Gillet and the Viper. I'm able to get the cars feeling ok and the tyre temps are looking good, but just can't get them round any quicker whether I drive smoothly or aggressively.

If anyone's up for practice tomorrow please let me know.

Managed a quick half-hour practising earlier, mainly to try out the new graphics card and i'm hoping that smell from it goes or else! My best was a 1.06.8 which is about race pace.

It seems the pit line isnt really where the line and lights are. I tend to engage it early but the camera doesnt switch to incar till much further up. Take it you are running with autopit H@L?

Not using auto pit (it cant be a good idea to use that, surely?).

I am using cockpit view and have only driven in practise 1 so far.

I was just wondering if anyone else was having issues before I try reinstalling the track etc.

The limiter comes on much later than I expected. That is what has been vexing me.

Can we push it that far before slowing to pit speed or should we do it at the pit entrance light?

I think just use the ingame point. Too difficult to manualy see if everyone did it properly. It's still pretty dangerous as the first pitspace is close to the start of the limiter.

My comment is: 80 mins in Snetterton are the most boring thing i've never try in this game...I was becoming crazy, and I haven't resisted the temptation to press esc. Endurance races aren't for me, and on a track with a lap of 1.05 is even worse... I wanted to make this attempt, but the result was absolutely negative. Anyway thanks for the ospitality in your champ race, but i think it will be the last endurance for me! I'll see most of you at the next PnG event, my favourite mod! See you soon guys!

What a great race..had a titanic battle with Legzy 8) ..and after the pit stops it seemed like you had soft fronts Legzy which were a little quicker intially, and you got the lead but I was hanging onto your exhaust pipe waiting and hoping for your fronts to go off and possibly try to get you..but for some bizarre reason the race finished way short :taz: :taz:

What a way to end the GTC season ::) :'(

Strange one.....
My race went quite well apart from the usual couple of spins. Had a nice little fight with Lazlow and then....Nothing :( Enjoyed it all the same though. Was that the closest finish we've had in the league for 1st? Well done Jeff and nice race Gazza 8)

Great racing with Matt early on & then I went off, lost four places & managed to work my way back up slowly. JPS putting up the strongest resistance (i.e. from before we pitted till the very end!!!) Great racing  8)

Shame we were robbed of about 20 laps with the race ending early.

In terms of track selection, this has been my favourite championship. But I will say, I've become a little bored of the Z4 :o, it's couldn't out drag an asthmatic ant, while it's glued to the road in the corners. I shall be selecting a more challenging ride next season. I would suggest that the Z4 either be kept for '1st season drivers' only or have its shackles removed & be bumped up to the GT2 class.

Nice race.

Had fun fighting with Lazlow and trying to maintain a good gap to TT. I was watching my XD at all times to see where you were TT. ;D

Real shame that it ended early. I was also surprised to see the temperature go down to 6 degrees. :o

Well done podiums.

Enjoyed that race, I always had to push to create a gap to Gazza so I could stay ahead during the stops. But still he overtook me in the pits and I had to push hard to try and get back.
I use 1% health a minute, so finishing the 80 minute would be close.

I noticed the race used Snetterton 2005, instead of the UKGTR version.

Here is the finish of the race ;D 0:00:015. Bit unfair to win like that tbh :P:

Wow love that pic Ruskus  :o :o

Should of had pole here as i was up on Ruskus time every lap but kept making a mistake in the middle chicane!

I knew the viper would kill me down the straight so i was more concerned about John behind me and we were very close for the first few laps until he made an error in the final chicane which gave me some breathing space. Tried to keep on the tail of Ruskus catching in the slow corners but losing loads on the straights. Thought i might get him in the pits which i did but not quite enough of a gap to keep ahead, needed to keep the gap about 2 secs to keep him off me on the straights, but he started realling me in as i didnt handle the traffic very well.

Got held up a little on the "last" lap which let the viper get a run on me down the finnish straight which ultimately gave him the win by that amazing gap  ;)

Shame it ended early but i wouldn't of caught Ruskus unless he made a mistake or his engine heath had of got very low.

Grats Ruskus & JonM

Was a great championship, Well done to teamate H@ll for 3rd overall and our team championship aswell.  :thumbup2: :thumbup2: :thumbup2:

Also grats to Lazlow on 2nd overall.

Thanks to everyone involved and those that organise all this for us  :notworthy:

How do you get those cars looking so good Ruskus, Photoshop?

Congrats to Gazza on the dominating championship, and to Lazlow and Hal for holding on to 2nd and 3rd from the hard charging aliens moving up through the ranks at the end of the season. :thumbup1:

I must say I enjoyed this series the most. The Lotux Exige was very difficult to drive and I had problems with tire wear on the back in particular but it was a decent car. The possibility to get the car on the podium in some races was there but I could never hook it all up. Thanks to the UKGTR team for hosting this series. ;D

And H@l for 3rd (numpty!)  :P  Was sure your tyres were gonna go, like in all races here insofar. Waiting, waiting, waiting... then I had to pit.  ;D

You had a good pace here, Manteos. Come join us again. After all, Enduro is just two Sprints.

Hmm, which car to take for the next season? If I'll really take Marcos for GT1 then the only logical choice here is the Vipertanker.  :ninja:

Good race in the first half with Matt and Jose both trying to get past. Thought it was going to be easy early on as Matt would drop back alot through the corners but he seemed to find a bit more speed through there so couldnt relax for a minute. Then Jose was trying to recover back through the field and managed to hold him off until a mistake by me, then the leaders came through but i didnt want to lose too much ground so sorry i didnt let you through straight away Gazza.

After the stop for tyres only i ended up about 15 secs to Jose but that dropped to around 10 so I was hoping on more mistakes by him.
Then got surprised by the early end. Suppose we should have seen that there weren't enough laps or time for the race, guess we were to focused when sat on the grid!

This season seems to have been one of the best with close racing all thoughout. Never thought i'd do this well in the standings, 9th and only three points behind MJ. Just wish i'd been able to run the first race now :(

The new cars have certainly added a great deal to the racing, though i do wonder if some might need a helping hand to improve them as its clearly been a bit of a Z4 997 championship. The 997 has been a joy to drive which has meant i've reach parts i've not reached before!

Thankyou to everyone who organised things this season. Looking forward to next season now :)

Errr.. If we are to lose a UKGTR night i hope we still get to race this class.

TTom we'll surely see at the next PnG events! But my endurance career is started & finished yesterday... I enjoy more in shorter races, in Italy i run in a SuperSprint championship (2 races of 35 mins. and with the inversion of first 8 places of race 1) but that's my limit! Anyway only for PNG can make some exceptions and compete for one hour, but i think that's a lot more fun than GTR2...this is a matter of taste!
Cu all soon guys!

When qualification started I knew that I only had to be within touching distance of H@L and TT to be in with a chance of getting a top 3 finish in the championship., and when I managed to do a pb and start 4th on grid, I was more than happy (and surprised!).

The start of the race went well, I couldn't quite manage to keep up with the top 3 but I was just holding a steady gap of 1.5 sec in front of H@L.
On lap 6 JonM had an off at the final chicane which let me through into 3rd, but he was steadily closing in on me and eventually got past. Awesome battle ;D
After the pit stops I found myself again in 3rd position, but once again JonM was just to quick and he retook his place, to leave me with a 4th place finish.
Thanks to everyone for making my first GTR2 season a cracking one , and many thanks to all the organisers for all of their hard work :notworthy:

Can't wait for the next season....Bring It On!!!!

Was a great championship, Well done to teamate H@ll for 3rd overall and our team championship aswell.

Thanks mate. Well done on winning just about every race. ;D Also well done to Ted for backing up the Enormous Team score by Team Pseudo and out qualifying me at Monza.  :D

And H@l for 3rd (numpty!)  :P  Was sure your tyres were gonna go, like in all races here insofar. Waiting, waiting, waiting... then I had to pit.  ;D

Hehe.  ;D

The low temperatures helped me to do a really long first stint as I was prepared for the temps to be higher. This allowed me to kick your butt. :-*

Awesome championship. I loved driving the Viper. It is a real challenge but almost un-drivable in the wet. If GTC is an option next season, then I will most likely drive the TVR.  :)

Well done Lazlow for 2nd in the championship.  :)
