Had a play, and a reminder to Tony/Chris, we need to turn off the cut warnings, this track generates cuts while you are in the middle of the tarmac.  Annoying when it wipes out what may have been a good lap.   :(

Not going too well round here, the Elan is quite understeery for me, best of 33.5.

I did a trackday here a couple of months back (if you do trackdays but you've never considered Cadwell, DO IT, I've driven 6 or 7 UK racetracks and Cadwell had me hooting with enjoyment, more than any other track, even though it's not the 'best' track its just masses of fun, even when it rains) and my 200 hp FWD car understeers less than the Elan here. ???  But I still like it.

Thanks for the reminder/warning Steve. Just been back to the last time we raced here (Season 6  :o) and weird cuts do indeed appear to have been a cause for concern.
I cannot see that turning the cuts off will be that much of a biggy but woe betide anyone found taking the  :censored:

Heheh yep if the humps don't get you, the pendulum effect under braking will - still a classic circuit. Overdriving my ass off around here but it's so much fun it's hard to reel it in.

From what I saw on the server last night - it's gonna be close! Has all the makings for an epic one, lets hope everyone's various connections hold up so it's a nice straight and clean (*cough* Oldies *cough*) fight :)

Nothing works..... :(

"couldnt connect to the server" that's what I get when trying to log-in to the online servers(lobby)

I have had the lobby fix.
I might try to install it again. Its just 2 clicks over it, right?

Oh my..

Quali'd mid pack and then discoed right at the end of the session.  ???Frantically rejoined but was at the back of the grid and forgot to load my race setup.

What a waste of time

Just couldn't drive that car there, seems like someone has taken away any ability I might ever have had.   :(

Dunno how people got those times in the 31s, nice pole Oily.  Time to accept that I'm just crap now, perhaps.

Right....a "lobby fix" reinstall and a new driver profile allowed me to connect to the lobby 4 minutes
before qual ends.
However, no setup, no games and settings time for setup and no FF at all.
Was racing without mirrors  ::) and car felt like a Need for Speed driving experience,
I just pressed ESC after 2 laps before I caught and ruin someone's race.  :-\
I hope you all had fun.

exited the game when I noticed I was being lapped and had no idea who was lapping and who I was fighting.
Didn't want to ruin the race for the fast people so I hit escape.

Although I like the track it is not fun being lapped around here  :(

Lost lead while getting distracted by a backmarker. Didn't know where to go as he was in the middle of the road  :-\.

Then somebody started annoying me on MSN which I forgot to turn off ;D. And a first time ever, the virusscanner wanted to update, never had that before with AVG.
When I came back car was on its roof and I had no idea what was going on ;D.

Hated the car, was sooooo boring, the sound, the feel... . Give me a Falcon here anytime, but not these sowing machines.

Decided to stop GTL altogether, don't like it anymore at all.

I was enjoying that, went from 11th... to 5th... to 9th... to 12th... to the tyres located on the right of the home straight. Had a brief lapse in focus ::) :wetfish:

Great watching Oily & Ruskus, then they both lost it one at a time. Oily, you had that one sown up after Jeff's problems

Had fun at the track and the car was okay  :)

No practise because I was meant to be trying rugby training but chickened out due to laziness  ::)

Quali'd 17th and managed to get up to 10th battling with Smiler for ages. Nice one mate  ;).... good driving under pressure. Same pace but in different places meant lots of fun. When Jeff and Oiley came to lap us I managed to tag on the back of them (just) to learn some lines and corner speeds. Smiler crashed with what seemed like a CTD or something  ??? and a few laps later I crashed in the wood section. Stuck on the bank it was too dangerous to reverse onto the track so I quit reluctantly  :-\

Great stuff......

One of the most gutting moments in GTL yet LOL - finally looking good for the top step, 24 second lead and i stick a millimetre of rubber on the grass on the exit of 2/3, only to spin round slowly, tap the barrier and conk out. Such a wasted opportunity. I am truly a first class plank.  :'(

Shame you didn't enjoy that Jeff, I prefer the Falcon but I was having great fun trying to keep up the pressure in the ladies motor through the traffic particularly - hope you were just grumpy, not really going to stop GTL surely!?

Thanks to the backmarkers, no idea how you made it so clean throughout around such a twisty circuit but appreciate it!

Championship's hotting up, got any holidays planned Ade?  ;D

I am from Brighton, England! ;)

Well that was fun while it lasted! Had a few good battles especially with you Perdie. Somehow managed to fend you off although you were way quicker than me in the first half of the lap. For some reason I really struggled with turn 4, the one at the end of the uphill straight. Nice racing though.

It was not a CTD that took me out, it was driver error! I made exactly the same mistake as Legsy, lost concentration going down the finish straight and crashed into the tyres! :'( :'(
Must have been looking at my pitboard or checking my make up in the mirror more like!! ::)

and I thought it was just me!
I love the Falcon here too!!
I am right on the verge of giving this a miss too!
I know I am not the fastest but I need more practice to be competitive than I have time available.
Gonna stick to GTR2 Sundays and all the PnG races !

Not gonna miss Bathurst though whatever! :)

( P.S Yes, I am grumpy!  ;D )

I thought that was a great nights racing (no way was it ever boring). Those light little Elan's wanting to go one way when the track went another always keeping you on your toes and this has always been a fave circuit of mine.
So I just want to state that I will not be leaving GTL and look forward to more mediocre performances in the future.

My comments were no reflection on your hardwork Tony!

Just a reflection on the lack of time I have available each week!

Had a non-stop action race dodging spinning cars and with battles all aroud. So no complaints here!

Problem is that there are so many new/updated racing sims out there one has to choose: oldies like GPL, GTL and GTR2 but also the very promising PnG, several rFactor mods ans of course iRacing... it's so hard to choose because every sim needs a fait amount of time to get your times down (at least for a average driver like me..).
So I hope this will not split up SRou too much  ::)
