Title: Silverstone 2007 for GTR2/P&G
Post by: Mark J on July 07, 2009, 07:44:53 AM +0100
Apparently there is a newer version of silverstone available now to download, with improved textures and track lighting for night races  8) Could be worth a try out ..Britcar 24hr anyone?  ;)
Might also explain why some suffered ctds at version we used in past (see author notes below)

here at pilsbierbude, will look on no-grip also

http://www.pilsbierbude.de/component/option,com_remository/func,fileinfo/id,695/lang,en/

from the author:-

Please delete the old version. The folder is "BritishGP"

This is the later version, it has the 3 layouts of Silverstone, with textures to represent the track since 07 mainly for use with GT and Touring cars, the Gp layout has been adapted and for night use... now re-released with new structure and naming hopefully to avoid or prevent any possible pathing problems or conflicting with any other versions
the three layouts should show up under 07Silverstone naming in track selection screen .. all credits and thanks for the modelling go to ISI, I only enhanced it for use on GTREvo/Race07/GTR2 by retexturing and remapping most surfaces,
version1.01..
now has the resized textures and should be the final version, found some were experincing CTD errors so attempted to give everyone the same "playing field"sorry for all the inconvenience downloading the first releases may have caused.

Another conversion spoiled by a total ignorance of how GTR2 actually works. The GDB name for the GP layout is just "GPLayout" - this is used to generate the HAT filename, and being generic another track could easily use the same name, which will cause only the first one to have the HAT file written to work, any and all others will crash.

Given that this is just a retexturing of the version we already used I can't see the point, especially as the old one used a tracks-specific GDB/HAT name!
