Couldn't get on the lobby earlier. are there still problems? I ran patch last night for the Hock race, and had no trouble.

Maaaaybe I can make this. But by that time I've woken up at 5am, did a 1 hour 15 flight, packed the car, drove home for 6 hours, unpacked the car and downloaded everything for the race, so maybe I won't make this ;)

Sorry to intrude :) Not sure what's going on with the servers etc but if you end up running would it be alright to switch the server back over to GTL when you're done tonight? Up for some praccy and offline is like pulling teeth.

8 people currently on the server so I would guess the lobby is up :)

would it be alright to switch the server back over to GTL when you're done tonight?

As usual the non event servers will be shutdown for the duration of the main event. Once the race is finished, when I do the results, the GTL, PnG and next GTR event will all be restarted. Much the same as every race night ;) I'm not racing so tonight so I like to wait until I see a post saying the race has finished before jumping on the server, don't want to cause anyone lag etc. jumping on when the event is still running. Not that I expect it does but best to be careful.

 >:( >:( >:(

I practiced a good bit today, did a 1:01.5 in the Exige so I think that would be a good qualy time...

Nonetheless, went rebooting before entering the server, chose shutdown cause Windows wanted to update some stuff, waited a bit and when it was done I pressed the on button to start the machine up.

Black screen... G25 turning rounds and nothing else...

Reset/reboot no change. Status led on front of the case stays out. HDD activity led is somewhat on (not flashing). CPU fan (which is on auto speed change) stays off, my ATI card has 3 bright red leds on indicating a failure somewhere.

Motherboard power activity led is on (Asus thingy), but it seems to have died when it shutdown after the updates... :-\

Good luck fella's, I'm back on investigating my PC...

sorry to say but i found that utterly boring  :(

Bit like at brands last time out, expected good close racing but got nothing of the sort, just an evenly spaced procession. The Exiges are too quick for the Elises and now every race is a two tier affair, leaving those of us left in Elises with about a 5 car battle at the rear..whoopee ::)

By lap 10 i was daydreaming and by lap 16 plain disinterested. :surrender:

Sorry to sound so negative about it but just my own opinion. I hope the rest of you enjoyed it.

That was a tough little race for me :o Titantic battle with Micheal Sunny for 4th place (in class) kept me on my toes, great drive and pressure Micheal, I couldn't relax for a second....

Fun series :)

I've quite enjoyed trying to get to grips with the Exige throughout this series. Just when I thought I had it lapping nicely and feeling confident, round comes the back end and bites me in the Arthur Askey. So it was tonight with four or five big spins coming out of those tight corners.

I got mugged at the start; someone in front of me was very slow getting off their limiter and I so I hesitated and was passed by a couple of Elises. Gained a couple of places back and had a couple of decent laps before my first spin which put me in next to last. Had some good fun mid race trying to catch Matt in his Elise but dropped it again...and again...

Grats to the podies. Haven't done the maths yet but loooks like my teamie did enough to secure at least a championship pody? Well done Ade :)

Enjoyed that race. Beginning was great with Gazza and Michael, after that Dave had some brave moves which I could barely defend, as my car was horrid with 26 wear at the back and 2-1 wing  ::)

Grats Gazza  ;D

Holy carp, no wonder I was all over you! I was running 2-7! :D

Gradually homed in on a decent setup during qually, which I spent the whole of running on race fuel. That left me 6th on the grid, just behind API. Spent a few laps trying to pressure him into a mistake and eventually got one when he got sideways out of the last corner, which was enough to let me get alongside down the front straight and slip through into turn 1.

Started to pull away, and even more surprising started to catch the leaders! Was rapidly into the 1:02s, and then Ade and Michael fell off, leaving me 3rd behind Jeff, with good tyre wear (I seemed to be the only one not locking his brakes everywhere!). Started to mount a serious attack on JR, figuring all I really needed was a mistake out of the final corner, but that was his strongest corner and I couldn't find a way by.

As we started to lap people, I realised Ade was now catching us rapidly. I kept a close eye on the gap and realised that the only place he was really strong was the loop which links the two parts of the main circuit to form the B course. I figured it wouldn't be too hard to defend there, and with only 3 minutes remaining I was confident I could hang on to the podium I missed out on at Brands.

What I didn't reckon with was misjuding how much Jeff would have to check up in Shellkurve behind Matt Rowe's lapped car. I pinched the brakes a bit too hard and did a neat 360, avoiding the walls but losing a couple of seconds and allowing Ade past. I thought I blown muy podium spot... only to have Ade lose it in turn 1 and hand the place back!

A great race for me, with massively better pace than I've had before in the Exige (top few laps times all very close). Congrats to Gazza for resisting Jeff's intense pressure for the whole race, and Jeff himself for squeezing more speed out of that Elise than is humanly possible. :D

Lol. I looked at the car specs and saw the Exige had twice the power. Thinking both cars were in the same class, I starting thinking how I would be able to defend off all that power, so I opted for a super low downforce setup  ::). By the time you told me they wee different classes, it was too late for me

Had a spare evening so thought i'd give this race a crack and quite enjoyed it. Did a bit of practise the day before and found the car very nervous, think you have to be smooth with them as if you make to much of a movement on the wheel they get out of control, for me anyway.

Should of had pole really as i was up on every split but kept getting the final corner wrong. Race started well and i could keep with Michael but was very difficult to get any chance of getting by even though i was slightly quicker at parts of the track. Jeff was right on me aswell (in the slower car  :o) Got a good run on Michael in the final corner and managed to get along side, he had the inside but braked a little late and with the tighter line he spun. That allowed me to pull away from jeff and i didn't make any mistakes to take the win.

Amazing how Jeff was going that fast in the slower car and with a 2-1 wing setup  :notworthy: :notworthy:  You surely would of won by a mile if you were in the Exige.

Grats Dave for 3rd.

Well done to everyone - I was well impressed by the laptimes... My P.B. was 1:05.01 which is nearly 1 second better that the GTR2 Rank ref time. I just could not get it any faster  :( . Still, I managed to finish the race, last but running and am slowly getting to grip with GTR2 although I didn't have much grip on the track. It took me a few laps to get used to that.

See you on the track again soon :)

Lol, series champion  ;D

Bit hollow but hey, i'll take anything!

Only tried it out 45mins beforehand, car handles terribly, need to run the front soft to get any kind of grip out of it and once we got going was a battle of concentration to keep going. Shame we didnt get much more runners in the GT3's as even around here the classes were very close. Shame TT and MJ slowly dropped back as thought it might be a good race.

Now, where's my complimentary shampers then? what?.. oh well :P
