It's been up since Tuesday, I think, except for when Shark and I had a play last night. Just checked and it is there now, so yes  ;D

Well it all went pair shaped  :(
Was going along fine, took soft wet tyres and they seemed to start to go off after 20 mins so I thought pit in change tyres to hard wets and repair damage..... Drove to my pit stall and slowed down, then it happened....Nothing, no pitboard or any options so I pitted out went around again and the same thing happened  ??? Didn't have any pitstop's planned so don't know if this was why but wouldn't have been able to repair car in any case. I dunno, maybe my poorly paid pitcrew just refused to come out in to the rain until they'd finished their bovril  :D

Gah

Bailed out at half distance after 1 brainfade, 1 stupid spin and having to dig my way out of 2 gravel traps.

Shame, as it was looking like a good race :(

@ Jakob:  No worries m8 :)

Shame

Looking forward to it as I like this track but the rain ruined it for me as I have not run in anger in it before.

Too many silly spins and would not have got any higher in GT race without retirements so I did so save the pain, having just nailed the car into the wall.

NGT next season, unless it is GTL

that was my first wet race and it was ridiculously tough to keep the car on the black stuff. :-[
Had several spins, usually under braking on the two bumpy left handers near the end of lap >:(
Also got nerfed off from behind at the first corner on my last lap!  ::)..big trip in the gravel, luckily didnt cost me a place. :)
Was quite pleased to come in 10th out of 19 runners...does that get any points?
A tough introduction to NGT championship racing  :o

That was tough. Well done SBG, looked very close with Mo at the end and Gizmo (even though I beat you in my German U-Boat) for his class win.

I usually don't mind the rain, the Lambo is great in the wet, but was struggling with the BMW a bit, was good for my G3 championship hopes when Jon's pit crew decided they'd weren't being paid enough and walked out (perhaps you're car was running Michelins and they decided they didn't have any safe tyres to give you? ;))

It was quite a race of attrition. Didn't really deserve 6th overall, but as Murray Walker always said "to finish first first you must finish", although in my case that meant "to finish sixth first you must finish".  : :D

nightmare on Anderstorp street!
took hard wets at start couldn't get any heat in them, :-[
eventually damaged my car badly enough to warrant a pit stop and got some softs
after 4mins of repairs :'(
car felt good again at least before the dreaded 1fps bug got me >:(
grats to SBG,gizmo and i presume Shark for the wins

Jeez that was tough. First no-stopper race for me (soft wets lasted well) and my eyes were watering and head bouncing after about 45mins. Then to top it all mo began catching me like a bat out of hell when I could hardly focus on the screen. Just managed to hang on and lead an excellent 1+2 for the krawlers.

I didn't see much trouble, apart from the div.1 drivers ;), and didn't cause much except to Jon, sorry. Thx to everyone for being careful and congrats to Dave.

Bit of a nightmare race, was confident of class pole until Jamera pipped me by 0.03s - gah! Knew it was going to take quite a few laps to warm the tyres up, then had a stupid off at T1 just braking too late and having to turn whilst on the brakes, sailed off and rejoined, broke early for T2 and sailed straight on anyway with cold and dirty tyres. :o ::)

Gathered it up but had damaged the splitter which was giving me mild understeer, never mind, it was still drivable and I figured the other NGT runners would also have offs. Settled back into a good rhythm and slowly but surely everyone else fell off the track and I regained the class lead.

T'was all going swimmingly until I decided to try braking fractionally later in T1, big mistake, got into a bit of snaking braking and "hello kitty" (litter). Then had another much stranger off in T4 where it just didn't slow down. Odd and very annoying, letting Shark back past in the G3 Bavarian Muppet Wagon, but I kept the class win thank goodness, a vital points haul in my championship quest.

Did get bumped by a 550 in turn 6 - was braking very conservatively after my offs, something caught my eye in the mirror, looked up to see it bearing down on me, "bump", luckily for both of us it was just a touch, he got through okay and I carried on. I guess I just caught you out with my early braking, whoever you were.

Had a couple of "after you", "no, after you" moments with Ginsters on the start/finish straight too. :D

Was quite pleased to come in 10th out of 19 runners...does that get any points?

Points are scored per class so you'll get points for sure as there were only 4 of us in NGT. :(

You were doing really well in the first few laps at least, I was sure Jam and I would drop you easily but you were putting me under a fair bit of pressure until I went off.

Didn't we have a thread about this recently? If the crew hasn't called you in for fuel or tyres you need to tell them you're coming or they don't get ready for you.

I also noticed during testing that if you cut the corner on the pit entry lane you don't even get your pit stall marker!

Congrats to SBG, Dave and Shark on class wins, especially in treachorous conditions; in fact congrats to everyone who made it through.

Firstly. apologies to As-here who I hit when lapping in final corner  :-[ - so sorry if i wrecked your race.

Crazy weather and a tough race all round. Jon C had an off early on which handed me the lead! I then promptly threw it all away a lap or 2 later going off on turn 1, giving SBG the lead.
I eventually dropped to 5th after a further spin, so am actually very happy with 2nd place in the end.

Sorry Dave, that was me in the F550 - I couldn't slow the thing down as quick as you could slow the F360.
I'm just happy that you stayed on the black stuff.

Hopefully we'll get sone wet sprint races  8)

Pleased with 3rd place, particularly as two weeks ago couldn't complete one lap without falling off the track, not a track I have previously driven a lot. Glad I took time on Saturday to complete an off-line wet race to tune my wet setting. Thanks to Shark for his setups as I've been using those recently with slight modifications to allow for race distance etc.

Qualified 7th and gained a few places thanks to people falling off in front of me, a few pitstops by others saw me in 2nd place after about 35mins and 2nd was looking a possibility but Mo's pace was too much for me and he re-took the place with about 10mins to go. The couple of earlier minor spins possibly cost me the place also. I need to work on my race pace.

Good driving by the NGTs etc when coming up to lap them was much appreciated. One point to note; there were some without lights on.

I solved my stuttering in bad/changeable weather by setting 'vbstrategy=0' in config.ini file. This really did make a huge difference on my system.
There's a great thread over at RSC about stuttering and how to solve it.

Hi Guys I always used to be good in wet I was on the hard wets and wish I had gone full distance now. The wet certainly made it interesting ,a tip from an ex real racer dont go out on the outside of the corners its usually v slippery, if you noticed I was getting better braking off the normal line. gerald

It still amazes me that a 'game' can allow you to use real life knowledge like that and benefit.

I did notice that the pit lane speed limit ended where the man is standing at the end of the pit stalls and not where the last set of lights were.
Thanks for explaination Dave :)  Grats to SBG, Dave and shark for their class wins  8) And to the rest of you who finished  ;)

Courtesy of TV Shark, here's Team Shark team-mates Simon and Luis doing some wonderfully coreographed "track exit maneovers". We practiced this before the race so I was well pleased we pulled it off so well.  ;)  :P

Can't believe I almost forgot to mention it Luis!  ;D

P.S. Sorry about the slightly in-out focus of the video.

9.9 for choreography and 9.8 for technicality, if you ask me.
It’s wonderful to see how hard training can be this rewarding ;D
And when I think we practice it with wheels and tyres and we still managed to pull it so well only on brake disk, it's like a dream come true ;D
