That worked out spectacularly badly, and I cannot believe Hristo went off lap 1 either and took Gerard with him! Gerard's rejoin was *ahem* questionable, especially since I was on the outside of him at the following corner.

I need to give myself more time for these events. Especially since Silverstone and Monza, arguably 2 of my favourite tracks ever, ever ever, are the last events in most divisions. :D

You're right, i did an awful first lap too. I'm sorry for this, and i did the mistake on my own (i mean alone, not on purpose!). I hate to do "questionnable things".
Well, it was a "spin recovery do what you can" manoeuver
Anyway, the morale was a car bent, and i managed to get to just a few laps before the end. too bad i got hit the back during braking, and found myself upside down.
Bad race from me i agree.

I can't believe the mistake I did... It was all going well in the first few corners, battling it out with King Hiro, then he suddenly started slowing down much earlier for the left hander after the hairpin. I was busy looking to the right, at him, and his early braking/lifting up really distracted me and I completely missed my own braking point.  ::)

By the time I realized there was no way I can make the corner, I opted to hit the wall head on as to avoid damaging the suspension. Couldn't quite rotate the car enough though and it hit the wall at a slight angle, which was enough to send the rear hard into the wall and rip off a wheel.  :'(

It would be very difficult to beat Gerard for the Championship now, but everything is possible.

Grats Syd for the win!

Not good for me either! I was having a bit of a dice with Jethro who passed after going off then passed after going off then pas.....you get the idea, then he went of properly and beached the car.  10 seconds later the engine blew on the lotus! Ahhhh!

Oh well, fun while it lasted.

WD to Syd. :)

Interesting that Hristo went off alongside kinghiro at the left hander after the hairpin....cos' that's where I met my end alongside the same guy  lol!!! ::)

I was having a great dice against his Lotus barge with my Eagle, but neither of us could match Syd's pace in the Brab !! The sheer grunt of the lotus made it very difficult to make any attempt at a pass, but KH was always very defensive and slowinto the hairpin, always taking a very tight inside line. Eventually he went in too deep, and ran wide, allowing me to cut back and get infront ( just!!). But the power of the Lotus dragged him alonsgide on the run down to "that" left hander. I tried to brake late and take a wide outside line, hoping to have the inside for the right hander afterwards. I went a little wide and clipped the bank, it was just a brush and I thought I had made it stick when the sky caved in and a wheel fell off :-\ Purely coincidentally, there was a Lotus in close proximity ::). But i think we both went a little too hard and deep and there was not enough tarmac for both cars.

All in all a shame , because it was shaping up to be a good duel, without anyone looking like they would catch us from behind, and the different characteristics of the Lotus and Eagle making for some different approaches to the corners.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas break and look forward to 2010, which as you all know is binary code for " The year of the Wazas" ;D ;D ;D

I had a reasonable race bookended by novice-like mistakes at both the start & finish. Took it cautiously on the first lap but approaching "that" left-hander I got distracted by H & Gerard's tangle & ended up spinning myself  :-\. Now plum last, I set off & but soon spun again as, in another beginner's error, I hadn't realised I'd damaged the car in my first excursion. After all that I managed to settle down to some better laps & gradually began to catch the people ahead. Started gaining places (thanks largely to all the retirements) & with 10 laps to go Prib was showing that I was closing on Gerard for 4th. Guessed he must have been suffering with some mechanical problems & with 3 laps to go I'd caught right up with him but then I made novice-mistake #3 & stupidly hit Gerard under braking. Massive apologies once again Gerard - was relieved to see that you were still classified 5th but I absolutely hate to end anyone else's race :-[.

Congratulations to Syd for the win, FMG (nice recovery drive there) & Tom in 3rd.

Actually it isn't.

2010 in binary is 11111011010 as everybody knows. Thinking you may have become confused and mixed up binary and hexadecimal I checked that too, but 2010 in Hex is 7DA.

Who knows what you were thinking.

Loon!

Wazas have a different binary code. ;)

It's known as the Waza Code.

Of course, a mere round eye and driver of green things would make that mistake, not having undergone the Waza initiation, training and indoctrination programme, and would assume that it was written in the primitive western binary format. ;D

Being Wazacode, it is a partially inverse ancient Japanese Shinto based cruciform text, with semi-binary inflections and a reverse Polish annotation. Which gives us the natural oversteer characteristics inherent in all waza chassis at the expense of suitable retardation systems. :smartass:
I hope that explains your understandable confusion. :P

and yes.......it IS a quiet day at the office!!!!!!  ;)

Japanese Shinto

Well that's one way of putting it.  ;)

ah glasshoppa, it seems you have a natural unnerstanding of the anciant ways of the white headband and would make an excellent pupil at her feet. ::)

Such a natural ability should not be wasted ;)  The call of the Wazas cannot be resisted for long. ;D ;D ;D

I m really sorry I hit you Evil . Heres what happened. I went a bit left down the straight just to "show myself in the mirror" a bit.(I ve seen they do it on tv)
I was surprised how far up on your side I came and started to concider a go for the corner but backed down(worried about braking point and started to brake early). I was sure I just went to 5 th and took and early brakeand downshift into 3 d ( I thought ).I was in 6 th so as a result I sail into the turn one gear too high and almost loose my rear when I realize and shift down/brake. I end up deep and hit your rear/side when you get off the bank.
sorry again.
Merry Christmas all

Disappointed to miss this event, but work and Christmas have taken over lately, so I found no time to practice and didn't want to be a potential spoiler to anyone's race.

Have a great Christmas all and look forward to racing you in 2010!
