All members are welcome as we test the new car packs ready for Season 12. I've intentionally delayed the start of season 12 until the week after this so that we're not starting on Valentine's Day. :tt1:

Pit Stops: No mandatory pit stop.

Notes:
(1) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3349.0) - especially the speed limiter starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages.
(2) Standings and schedule can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R;group=231;theme=3)
(3) You will not be able to join the server without the car physics pack and track (see links above).
(4) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced.
Please avoid using a WiFi connection; if we can tell you're on WiFi you will probably be asked to leave.
(5) Please use the Driver Details (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=profile;sa=driver_info) page to ensure that the league management software has your correct GTR2 'Driving Name' (not necessarily the same as your lobby name).
(6) The server will be set to have 26 slots, not 28.

First chicane got me too - pity 'cause I was starting to look like I could catch Prof. ::) :D

Was a pleasant run round the lake. Somehow qualled 1st GTC and in front of TT (GT2) who then had to spend a few laps
catching me inthe chicanes and getting left on the straights, I eventually got ambitious in the 2nd tyre wall chicane
and went wide and brushed the fence to let TT and Prof through. made a few minor errors so letting Jan through
as well, then caught him back in the last few, and went over the line a cars lenght behind.
grats to finishers.

I love this track, hence I joined this one.

Marcos felt a lot easier than last time I used it and even with a 550 setup it felt good.
Thought 2nd gear was the right choice for the start, but the Marcos had too little grunt and somebody got past.

Was funny to see people try and let me lap at the chicanes, when I was thinking of waiting after them, resulting in both cars slowing down to a crawl and going side by side through the tyrewall at 30mph :lol:

Shame race ended early as I really enjoy this track ;D

The track is as much fun as the commentary over Teamspeak. I really ought to turn it off as I nearly crashed through laughing on several occasions.
I enjoyed an early battle with TT and Matt swapping places a couple of times with Truetom before finally getting past both when they both tried to go through the second chicane at the same time.
After that it was just a matter of holding off Gizmo to claim first in class.  ;D
Long time, no see Jeff - good to see you back even though you seem to have lost all your pace.  :D :D :D

It looks like GTC will be a busy and interesting division this season and will give me ample chance to demonstrate that second place last season was a complete fluke as the aliens join in. Nice to get a maiden win in the newly painted Team Shark Z4 and see Pete do the same in his Z3.

Gave the Z4 a run out to show off our new skins and almost didn't make it past the warm up lap ::)

The new skins looked very cool from what I saw of them and no problems to report except for the aforementioned early finish, but I'm not complaining about that :)

Congrats to the podies and finishers; some extremely fast GTCs out there tonight 8)

Was good fun at the beginning. I was in 4th and saw both Jose and Gazza crashing at the first tyrewall chicane, didn't have time to slow down and hit Gazza hard, sorry mate!

I was then in 2nd trying to get close to Jeff's laptimes but god damnit! low 29's and low 28's later on! Tried to push but didn't get a single clean good lap, I think I could've lapped in a mid 29 but still too slow for Jeff :o

Ended up hitting the right tyrewall in the second of the killer chicanes. Race over - obviously ;D

Was nice to see GT2 compete with GTC class - it really shows I suck big time on this track. :D
Though I have a question: it's understandable for ViperCC to get away from GT2 F430 on a straight, but for GTC Z4M to be faster on a straight and through corners is a bit strange to me. ???  To be clear - I enjoyed the tussle with Matt and Prof, I'm just asking to make sure the modding didn't get out of hand... ;)

Anyways, when preparing the overtake attempt on Prof I came too close and my rear wobbled a bit on braking and second chicane got me.

I witnessed many airborne cars last night including one that seemed to roll over the front of Gazza's car after bouncing off the chicane. I managed to follow Gazza in driving under it before it hit the ground. ;D

I took damage that I had to repair, I got a stop-go penalty and I made an extra stop for good measure.

No problems with the skins as far as I could see.

Wanted to the try the F430 this season but had a torrid race last night due to lack of practice, Enna and my general incompetance :) I had no pace at all and struggled to get a decent setup in the short time I had. If anyone would be so kind to pm a decent setup for the F430 GTC it would be very much appreciated.

No problems on the skins as far as I could tell although I did notice a plain blue car (C6R maybe?); is that correct?

Well done to the podiums, especially Ruskus who takes alien showboating to a new level :)   

Is it possible you've accidently installed one of the old skin packs, probably the GT1 one, instead of the new one?

What I think is wrong about the Marcos is the tyres. They don't go up to temperature, the rears stay colder than the fronts  ::), and they hardly wear. I could easily run softs here with only 11 wear at the worst tyre, rest all far below 10.

Also did some laps at Spa and it was the same. Marcos actually felt pretty good there, car is very civilized now and with some tweaking it might go into the 2:10's.

I'm sorry it needs so much mod-modding. I really like the car and would drive it. I must say a lot of the issues was fixed and after brakes were made better it's actualy drivable. :)  What can be done with the tyres? I always used meds in front and softs at the rear, and yes, with all the torque molesting the rears softs should be shred after 2 laps, not 80 minutes. :P

I joined with no practise....really bad idea for me becuase unless I do some sort of running beforehand I'm useless. Plus I chose the Marcos of all things, which didn't help!

Swapped to the Viper before the start (couldn't handle the Marcos) and fought up to third or something? Then crashed out at the same spot I went out last at Enna...the second fast chicane. Next time I race Enna, I want to finish!
