(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=227)
(5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of every-one's connection will be reduced.
(6) Remember that P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function, but our gentleman's agreement is that everyone will stick to a speed limit for the pit-lane of 40mph/60kph.

For the 3rd time in a week, it seems the lobby has generated an error for the server. It's restarted now Ian.

The Elite was loads of fun on the shorter track a couple of months ago, but I reckon it will be tina's longer legs for me this time ;)

Thats not good and ta.

As the Abarth is off the pace for me (I'll use it if those around my pace do?) I'm trying cars that I've not used before, which is nice. As an Alfista its about time I got to grips with a virtual one and the Junior sounds fantastic so that'll do. It does have an odd issue of pulling badly to one side under braking (bit like my real one  :'(), anybody know a cure?

Is it just at the end of the straight?  Cos the Cortina does the same.  Tries to take you off to the left.

Just done my first wizz round and I like the Lotus Cortina, a lot!

2:05.053 at the minute.

Yep, the Alfa does exactly the same. Is that realistic?

Which Cortina Clive? The works 67 (gold) one is very prone to locking the front brakes, no matter what you do to adjust it, it still locks the fronts. The other works cars & the Mann cars don't seem to suffer with the problem.

I haven't decided yet Ian, but I'll likely be in the Alfa or Cortina. I've had enough of Abarth's and Mini's lately with the Race 2 Play league.

Had this problem at Interlagos with the Alfa Vol Ian. Check your tyre temps/pressures balance and adjust them independently if they are uneven; The cooler one will be losing grip before the hotter one which will cause that skewing under braking. The tina will probably be the same. MoTeC should show this up clearly.

I have downloaded the track but it only shows up in GTR2 and not PnG, can anyone advise?

When you do the track install it should ask you where the exe file is. I suspect you chose the GTR folder by mistake.

For some reason when you choose the installation folder it defaults to creating a GTR 2 folder within it where it installs it. Serves me right for not paying attention when installing it ::)

You probably need to run the terrain patch.  It's part of your PnG installation and I would run the FF patch as well whilst you are at it.

I think that it is in the zip file called SetupPlrPatcher.

No skin pack on PnG, thank goodness.

Did you select your PnG installation before applying the patches?

EDIT:  I just checked that I could enter the server and had no problem.

I e-mailed you a setup for the Lotus Cortina about two hours ago.

I can do 2:03.9 in it but there was a ratbag doing 2:01 in the Alfa a couple of nights ago.  ;D

I did 2:04.2 in the Cortina, it seems to be the car for the track...maybe the Alfa aswell, in the right hands because of it 5 speed gearbox. Therefore I will chose...............

Triumph TR4, well, not sure yet...  :D

So you did  :) I hadnt noticed, thank you for that, very kind of you. I have been practicing with the Alfa and best time so far is a 2.08 so I'll try the Cortina with your setup and see if i do any better. See you tonight.

I've got internet problems tonight, I can get on the server but kept getting dropped after a couple of minutes. After a few discos during qually I decided to call it a night  >:(

Sorry for trying to sneak in the Falcon, Legzy. I just saw the words "Mann" and thought hah that is the Cortina, forgetting that is called the Lotus Cortina....  ::)

Hope you all had a good race!

With no sign of Matt, I teased Mike into a slower car. Whoops ;D

Swallowed up at start but I had one beady eye on Marco anyways. Twas great fun being held up by PR through the twistys and swapping places with Marco whilst PR sped away on the straights. Peeved that I lost it in T2 and that was that fun over with. Spent the rest of the race closing down Geoffers and only got to him with 2 to go. Throughly enjoyable scrap with both of us eyeing a pass on PR as well. Shame it ended like that but great fun, cheers to you both :)

With one eye on next season, gotta say faster gents in slower cars works for me :) Great track/car combo Legzy. Congrats Matt, API and especially the flying Marco.

Had to pick a car I had a setup for as I've done virtually no praccy at all, went for the Alfa (no flaming pls!) and did about 10 laps yesterday, got a pb of 2.03 and decided after trying the mini (twitchy as hell and no time to fix it) I would stick with the Alfa. ;)
On hearing times of 2.01 being touted I was a bit disheartened but had made my choice  :o , qualy went very well with only a few minor errors denying me a 2.01, but pole was very welcome, especially after last weeks pc crash whilst 3rd. >:(
Was looking like a veryclose fight between the front as we were separated my virtually nothing, luckily for me Matt and API had an almighty scrap which allowed me to bulid up a little cushion, which although whittled down in the end was enough to win.  :)

Grats to fellow podium drivers.  ;)

NVIDIA sucks! I gotta buy an ATI card.

Yep, I did. ATI 5770 now.

That was fun, Didn't really have any good dicing until Marco caught me 4 from the end, i got in his way some, he
passed, i drove back past on the straight, he eventually made it stick but didn't have enough time to make any impact
on API who was flying himself. First few managed to stay ahead of API, I did no defensive driving, just braked late to keep him behind a few times. but he got quicker and quicker and MADD was pulling away,
so I flashed him through to let him have a crack at the leader. looks like he got quite close, but I slowed him for too long. Unusually I found i could be faster here with auto clutch, as I was able to be smoother.

Once again this circuit (this time in its longer form) has provided some great racing. Most of the cars seemed very evenly matched around here with different choices being faster/slower in different parts of the track, which seems to be the ideal recipe. Well done Legzy :) I know Spanner and I swapped places for a few laps - great racing mate and very considerate, as were all of those I battled with this evening.

I made too many silly mistakes and my Elite went from being a dream to a bit of a nightmare, with awful oversteer/understeer depending on which way I was turning.

Congrats to pody and finishers and hard luck to those with technical problems.

I had fun while it lasted albiet it was very short. I had a good scrap with Clive early on. I gave him a little too much rubbing in one of the slower turns crossing him up. He didn't stop so I slowed a bit to let him back by on that long back straight. Lazlow and others blew by me there as well. The Mini struggled on that long straight compared to the bigger power cars. I expected that though. Later I was battling with Geoffers when my computer decided to go out to lunch without me. Hope I didn't hurt anyone with my dead car in the middle of the road.

My debut race. Just got this up and running today, first tried cortina and then the alfa which I liked for the 5th gear. Clive sent me a cortina setup but i found it too late to get any practice in (what with cooking tea and that for the Mrs). So not too surprised to qualify 21 of 23. Anyway for some reason on the start of a new session my g25 turned itself round 180 degrees so I set off backwards and reversed into some poor victim behind me, to whom I humbly apologise.
Anyway lost a few seconds there I did manage to get back with the back markers after a while and get past a few but lost it somewhere and drifted off the back until i crashed and knackered the suspension, so retired.

What a race, congrats for the car choice Legzy, a nice spread field of cars, well done!

Race was superb, battling for almost all race with Marco, Ian, Geoffers and Lazlow.
Great fun guys, thanks for the fairplay driving from all.  ;)
By the half of the race my front tires were gone (left front at 10 wear)  :o
I tried to stay on the racing line at the corners and slow bends and praying for the straights to get rid
of the Abarths.  ;D Lazlow gave me hard work aswell in the TR4.
First time after Ian's return to GTL that I was fighting with him again (always a huge pleasure)  :)
and I think I deserve double points because I finished in front of him, although he was driving a slower car.  :P

Congrats Madd and podium and well done to all finishers.

Hats off to crazy Alex for driving the MKII.

Cheers

Off the top of my head, I would say that was probably my most enjoyable race of the season :-\

Love that range of cars, they do/can offer quite a good match up over a good few tracks.

Enjoyed start to finish bumper to bumper racing, particularly with Tinman, Clive, Spanner, Oily, Ade. Nice job gents. :thumbup2:

Well done to everyone that finished & to some of the fast boys for taking slower cars. It makes it a better race for all in my eyes. 8)

Hats off to crazy Alex for driving the MKII.

Yes, well .. it looked like a nice car but it's a bit on the heavy side.
At the beginning of the race I had some nice battles with the Junior Alfists but I lost it and clipped a pole; Suspension kaputt.
Being a heavy car, it was virtually impossible to drive (back kept on stepping out) so I decided to pit for some repairs.
Rejoined after two minutes 1,5 lap down...  oh, well at least I finished the race  :-\

Congrats to the international podium.

"By the half of the race my front tires were gone (left front at 10 wear) "
I put the harder ones on the front, gave slightly more understeer, and probably a few tenths slower per lap
but they wore only a little more than the soft rears, So I was able to maintain a reasonable pace to the end.

The TR4 was harder than i remembered on wednesday. Struggled to get to grips with track during qually and surprised at the pace, if i'd known i might have taken the alfa or cortina. Thanks to the power of the TR4 got a huge start gaining 5 or 6 positions as others fought but slowly dropped back as throught the slower stuff i was losing alot of time and the car became harder as the tyres got worse. Good racing with Goldtop, legzy, Oily, Ade and others while it lasted. Seems i lost connection as the gaps forward and behind started increasing but thought i'd carry on as it never came up with any message but then got told on TS i'd lost connection.

Fun and surprisingly close group of cars around here, could be a good series on its own.

Just a little footnote, I wish i'd driven the Gold Works Cortina now, a lot more fun than the Alfa, but I would have been burned at the stake by you lot for taking it........pb 2.01.3.  :)
