Hmm....

While attempting to add a driver name to our recent Donington PnG event, I seem to have predicted the outcome of this race  ::)

Edit: All back as it should be - cheers Dave  :-[

If JB doesn't show up I'm 2nd and 3rd if he does. Guess this might be a fun event for me. ;D

Sorry if I caused some problems at the start. All the cars kept disappearing and then my wheel just went crazy.

Was enjoying it, but Spanner & I had a small rub which somehow gave me aero ??? >:(
Car never felt the same & I started spinning & doing weird things.
Slipped right down the grid & managed to pick up an S/G... carried on for a few more laps till my back end went again & I'd had enough.

 ??? ::) :'(

Wondered what happened. You just suddenly stopped on the back straight and parked it sideways. Caught us all out and shame for you as you had a nice pole so it could have been a good battle.

I decided that as we were then so far back from the GTCs that it was safer to basically start the GT3 class way back as almost a seperate race otherwise I would have had to go really fast to catch the GTCs and then slow suddenly at the line.

Same story as Brazil for the first half of the race. API chasing me hard for 30 minutes until he pitted. I went right past half way and with the tyres worn message I lost it at the old hairpin losing a lot of time. Pitted 1 or 2 laps latter whilst holding Pete up whilst I was really slow on badly worn rubber. After the pits I drove much more smoothly and saved the tyres better enabling me to go faster. Had to catch NSFast and just as I was about to catch GSI Bob he made his mandatory pit stop. Meanwhile API who would have been way out in the lead kept coming in to the pits to serve penalties which meant I cruised home for an easy-ish finish.

Well done to the championship winners this season.

With turnout being so low I don't see how UKGTR can continue with multi-class though, so I await to see what Legzy's plans are for next season.

Good race to finish the season.  :)

I was looking forward to this one, thinking that the Vertigo would be quick here. Disapointed to see in qualifying that the BMW was again going to be tough to keep up with.  :o But I was happy to qualify 4th with as good a lap as I could manage.

The race started smoothly enough with API and Shark going off into the distance and Gsi Bob and Picnic falling back a few seconds. But once Picnic was past Bob he started to catch up very quickly. We then had a number of very tense laps as I had to push very hard to keep in front. Picnic pitted early, I think to avoid losing time to the GTC's which were catching up but I decided to keep going to half way point before pitting. The rears were not too bad so I left them unchanged. Exiting the pits I was about 12secs ahead of picnic a gap I was able to maintain for the rest of the race.

I later had a very short battle with Shark  8) which ended with a very scary moment at the final chicane as Shark and two GTC all tried to overtakes at the same time.  :o

It is worrying to see the drop in numbers but I agree that there has still been some great racing this season.

Congrats to Berger and API on the Championships, Berger and JB on securing the GTC team title for us and Team Oldie for the GT3 win.

Sorry I didn't make the race guys. I planned on running, but my wife had other plans. I ended up working on the house all day today (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM).

Tried the Datsun for a larf, was almost hanging on to the back of people, had a bit of a race going with Bob
took a cut track while avoiding Goldy, took another trying to get the Datsun to go where I wanted, on the 3rd
I got S/G so left in boredom, the draconian cuts tracks are well over the top here INHO ruins a good track.

Rather a boring race for me. I was too slow to keep up with the GTC people ahead and too fast to be sucked into the GT3 battle. I did the whole race on one set of tyres so looked after them carefully (still needed nearly 50 litres of fuel at half way). I hoped a mixture of a faster pit stop and other people getting stop/go penalties would propel me up the field and I gained a massive one place.
Congratulations to all podium winners today as well as the season champs. Special congrats to TT for taking the lovely Z4 to a win (hope Legzy doesn't further cripple it as a result)  ;D I would love to see your typical Z4 setup TT now the season is over if that is not too much to ask.
Thanks also to Dave and Pete for organising this excellent league and the server work. I hope the numbers thing is only a blip and look forward to seeing what the new management has in store for us. I would vote against this GTC/3 mix if we retain mixed class racing.
Well done to all fellow racers this season, the quality of competition remains tough but very fair. I hope more people come to join us for S13.

Amen to that. :D

You only had to ask... ::) I never witheld (is that a word?) my setups to any who wanted it. Will send it once I come home. :)

Quali laptime was close to my pb - managed to make 1.06.7xx in a one lucky lap while training. :) Guess this is   achievement for Berger, JB and other aliens. Nice to see Andy in the first row and after a succesful T1 I managed to increase a gap. Quite an uneventful race, but I liked it. :D
Good result for the Legends, well done Andy. 8)
Interesting season, hope we can get more parameters in S13 (weather, new cars, etc.). Ehm, and new drivers. ;)
Grats all.

Great racing  ;D

After a long string of disappointing iRacing results it was nice to get something out of GTR2.... reminds me of why i loved it so much!

Suprised in quali to be so competitive and after putting in an early decent lap I could concentrate on race setup as I had none!

....sorry on the rolling start H@L  :-\ I thought TT has slowed down and put on his limiter (i can't tell with some addon cars) and then I had to speed up and noticed you didn't close the gap  :(

Solid start and TT was off and I had no response..... but it was clear after a couple of laps H@L was quicker in that mental sounding TVR  :P .... I was keeping a wide 911 and Legzy and Spanner kept H@L occupied and I pulled a good gap I was hoping to keep until the pitstop.

I started on 100L with soft/meds and pitted lap 27 for meds/meds and 75L to get me to the line  :sorcerer: Should have been more traditional but a set of front softs can't last half the race, so I did consider a 2 stopper... wished I had tried it in hindsight

Scrapped into the pits before H@L was completely on my backside and came out 7th.... by midway things had panned out and I had just kept infront of H@L  ;) and retained 2nd  :-* ... after some heavy fighting H@L got passed and pulled a gap and we finished like that  :)

Dominate win TT and Legends 1 - 3  8) Will definitely be doing gtr2 next season... not a complete convert to iR just yet  ;D

sadly I agree. I had been thinking of doing one multi-class series & the other as a single class, but the numbers attending have just bombed... So I also see little point until we've seen the numbers grow again. :(

Probably should have it's own thread but would multi-class still be an option if we ran one race each week rather than 2 events a fortnight apart. E.g. one GT1/CTC multi-class event every week rather than GT1 one week and GTC the next?

I also like the idea of running one weekly series as we did in S11.

Great race, had to watch the replay. ;D

....sorry on the rolling start H@L  :-\ I thought TT has slowed down and put on his limiter (i can't tell with some addon cars) and then I had to speed up and noticed you didn't close the gap  :(

Thats OK. I was not expecting to be able to match your pace and so was more worried about spanner and Legzy behind. I put my limiter on when you slowed, thinking that your limiter was on and then decided to just leave it on to save confusion when I realised that yours was not.

I had a excellent fight with Legzy and spanner in the opening few laps. We took it in turns to make mistakes. Eventually, to my surprise, I did come out in front of them both after recovering from my own big mistake.

I then tried to close the gap on Purdie but, spanner was not close behind. After a few laps I had closed the gap a little and spanner had dropped back a bit. Purdie then made an early stop. I came out close behind Purdie after making my own stop half way through the race. It took me a few laps to get close enough to try a move.

after some heavy fighting H@L got passed and pulled a gap and we finished like that  :)

That was an excellent fight. :) I had a good run through the chicane and managed to pass just before turn 1. It was not long before we caught Shark and nsfast having a close fight of their own. I was lining up for a pass on Shark just before the final chicane when he began a pass on nsfast. ;D

I thought 3 into that chicane does not go so I will back off. Purdie got very close to me as nsfast was in front and we went either side of him down the S/F straight. I was lucky at that point but it was great fun. :) Great bit of multi class racing I thought. Although I am sorry to have such a big affect on the fight between Shark and nsfast. :-\

I am very happy with 2nd overall and fastest lap. 8) I started to figure that TVR out a bit in the last few races. Well done podiums. It has been a nice season with allot of fights for me despite the low numbers. Thanks organisers.

See everyone at the last race next week ;) and next season. :)
