OK so this race will be at Sugo, which seems to be a very nice little track 8)

It was used here four times back in late 2007, but in one of the events multiple people lost connection 40-50 mins into the race. So lets give it another test.

I've set to 60 mins & 2x fuel to make sure we get past 40 mins & it makes sure we all need a stop.

Hello Craske.

Can make this but our GT3 selection leaves me cold and racing the Vertigo drives me nuts so catch you next time. Like the track

Nothing  :) Racing other similar cars would be great for me. I have not found racing the totally mismatched Viper, just wait for the pitstop (yawn), and the awful Vertigo, just waiting to get rear ended, satisfactory at all. Any other class offers more for me and maybe just me to be fair

GT3 is a bit slow. :-\ For me, THE class is GT2, then GT1. LMPs sound spicy, though. :)
And: Sugo is a great GT2 track. ;)

Hey SBG, I think you're hinting at balancing changes that are required by this class... any chance you could add your balancing thoughts on the 'Balancing changes thread (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=8032.msg142176#msg142176)'. I think you're saying that the Vertigo has too much advantage come the pit stop, but please clear up there :)

The GT3 cars are well balanced over an enduro but I don't enjoy racing against either the Vertigo or Viper, easily the popular choices, for reasons I've explained. GT3 doesn't work as well as GT2 or GT1 for me. Unless, you've got something to spice GT3 up?

GT3 enduros are a yawn-athon  sadly, you can count me out for that series if its pursued  they are better fun for sprint series on clubmans tracks.

No GT3 enduros planned MJ. It will be exactly as you describe, sprint series every other week on clubman type tracks.

(FYI - The other series on the alternating weeks will be of an upper enduro type with variable weather, so one week dry sprint, one week enduro).

Nice track, but I'm really struggling with the breaking zones on a couple of the corners. Was wondering what a respectable lap time is in the dry
in the Porsche.
My fastest so far is a 134.900.

Cool thanks for the info. managed to get it down to 132.5 last night with over 60ltrs of fuel.  :)

I really like this track, I'd never even heard of it before I saw it on here.

Bit too hot to be sitting in a leather race seat in shorts after sinking beers all afternoon, (especially after the demoralising performance of our 'Golden team' ::)) on a track I'd only done a handful of laps of... but thought I'd come along & support the race.

Only eight of us, which is a bit of a shame as it's really quite an enjoyable track... but like I said, I could have come up with quite a list of reasons to not bother tonight... so you're all excused ;)

Incredible fight with nsfast all race long, lol. ;D

We changed positions many times and although I was faster down the straight, he had me on the corners. We pitted at the same time and left the pit at the same time. I did stall when pulling out of the box which allowed just enough time for nsfast to get passed, lol. After that I could stay close but could not make a move. I could get almost along side on one of the straights, but I never managed to claim the race line before the corner. Great stuff.

Very nice track. The only issue I had was that I could not see the lights while I was waiting to start from the grid. I use cockpit view.

Thanks all that showed up. I have always found GT3 races fun because mistakes cost less time keeping a more even playing field. 8)

A most enjoyable race in very hot conditions. ;D A good advert for the GT3 cars.

In the first half H@l was faster but a couple of mistakes kept me in touch so that we pitted together. I got lucky with the pit stop and came out in front but quickly made a bad mistake using too much curb and spinning in the barriers. I wasn't sure if the car was damaged at first but was was able to pick up the pace again but now a few seconds behind. While H@l was having a battle with Apex for position prior apex's pitstop I managed to pull back up. H@l made a mistake and I was back in front for some very close final laps as the tyres were well past their best. Some practice in the week finally paid off.  :)

Congrats to H@l and Craske on the podiums. Track was ok for me.

Sorry I couldn't make it to the race yesterday. I was working on my house again. It will be tough for me to get in a weekend race until I'm finished with the house.
To do still
  • paint interior walls
  • Tile kitchen, 2 baths, hall, foyer
  • hang all doors
  • finish electrical (boxes, switches, etc...)
  • trim
  • install cabinents and fixtures for kitchen and 2 baths

Maybe I'll get lucky and my wife will hire some more contractors and give me a Sunday or two off.

Really enjoyed that race even if it was a bit sparse. When even the person who organised it is struggling for enthusiasm you cant really moan too loudly!

didnt really push too hard in qually and started towards the rear and had a brilliant race with APEX all through. With Craske running ahead it made it interesting as he was warping and a few times i just had to slow right down to work out when his ghost was going to  move!

Falling off about mid way and ending up on the inside of the corner and not being able to see sideways at whos coming didnt help. After the stop came out with Apex about 20 odd secs up the road and slowly gained each lap, i guess he didnt change tyres and had the last 5 mins trying to work out what to do as i clearly had more grip but too many times would make a move then fall off! Anyway i seemed to gain a bit in the last corner making it an interesting run to the line, especially with Legzy stationary on the straight. Must be one of the closest finishes! 8)
