Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: "www.simracing.org.uk"
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=265&theme=5)
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

As this is the final GTL race for 2010  :'( and the culmination of the BCRS I've decided to change the venue.

Instead of using the Indy circuit we will use the same GP circuit that was raced earlier this season (Bank Holiday Super Enduro).

I hope that you will agree that this should make for a fitting end of season event.

Can someone send me a pm with a jag laptime so that I can adjust the no off laps if necessary?

Can the person sending in their Jag lap-times, cc me on that PM please. Not sure how much Internet access Tony's got at the moment, so I'll assist as required till he says he's back.

1:52.2 is my best in the Jag so far with race fuel.

If my calculations are right that's 26-27 laps.

Anyone else got any lap times yet?

Just did a quick run of 8 laps or so and the best I did was a 1:51.4 with 14 laps of fuel. Still need more practice so my guess for best lap the Jag could do might be in the 49's.. Maybe better? :-\
Great idea to switch to GP format Tony :). Cheers

1:49's! You on the right track Navin? ;)

I might crack a couple of 51's in there if I get lucky, but certainly anticipate an average of mid/high 52's in the race.

Short race for me, had the button pressed for the clutch, but when I put it in gear the car took off!  ??? Instant disqualification for a false start. Oh well, hope you all had a good race & congrats to the winners.

Cya next year, happy Christmas.

A big Congrats to Sqter for a well deserved 1st place in the race and even better 1st in the Championship :D.
Another congrats to Legzy for his second place in the Championship. Congrats as well to Ade for a very impressive 3rd in the Championship with that difficult to drive Austin-Healey.

Thank you Legzy for handling today's race as well as helping with results and other logistics for the whole season.

Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday and a very Merry Christmas ;) Have a great New Years Party as well fellas.. Be careful on the roads out there. Don't drink and drive :( Drink and Drink  ;D

Just wanted to repeat what Navin says.

Really enjoyed watching the replay, very late last night. Superb driving skills on display and some thrilling racing to watch for the neutral observer.

Gutted for Legzy after his early slip up which cost him many places on the 2nd/3rd? lap. But then he drove his socks off to finally take the 4th spot and almost took the 3rd from Tonny. He had great battles with Pelle (twice) and Ade.

But that fella Sqter started first and wasn't going to drop any places for the entire race and so is our BCRS Champion. Congratulations.

Would like to thank Legzy for stepping up and taking over the GTL Admin role whilst I was unavailable. Normal service will be resumed asap (I hope  ::))

Congrats to Sqter, Legzy and Ade for their podium places in the overall Championship Placings

Thanks Tony and all the people who helped him with the admin of the Series, all the drivers for their consideration on the track.  As usual last night, I made too many unforced errors and finished this race in my usual position of last runner - at least it made it easy for me, with no positions to lose, to drive slowly off the racing line to keep out of the way to lapping drivers.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to Y'all and hope to see you all bright eyed and bushy tailed at the start of the new season on our new race night.

Ooh, bit late on my report here...

Well done to Sqtr, him & Ade were the class of the field in my eyes. My hat is right off to Ade for taking the Healey all season & still getting 3rd! :o Great effort both of you. 8)

I knew I could have stolen the title by finishing 3rd (assuming Sqtr would not have too much trouble from Navin & win the race) & basically I was just content to drive round behind the two of them & claim a podium finish & the title.... as we were driving away from the rest of the field gradually

Sadly that meant concentration was lower than normal & as we passed the line on about lap 5, I paid more attention to the gaps ahead & behind (timing wise) then I did the rapidly approaching T1. I noticed too late & ended up going straight through the sand trap & hitting the barrier, only picked up minimal if any damage but had dropped about 6/7 places! :'(

Got my head down & had a really good attempt at getting back up to 3rd, some corking dices along the way. With about 10 laps to go I had 3 secs to make up on Tonny J in his superior Elan. With 3 laps to go I was finally close enough to try to apply some pressure & hope for a mistake.

With 1.5 laps to go & he's made the mistake I needed to get past & as I started pulling along side "the door was firmly closed" said Tonny J. The impact lost me my momentum & I didn't get another chance to try as Tonny found some extra pace to see him home & lock out the podium for Team GTLDK.

Forgot to mention how excellent the season has been W Tony.
Hats of to you, because even the ideas you've thrown in this season that I questioned at the time, I now believe added to the season.
 :thumbup1:

If you continue to come up with relatively evenly matched, juicy line ups like this, I shall look forward to seeing you all next season. :)
