what you towing?....a caravan?    ;)

Barcelona boring? i think its a great track for GT racing with a real mix of challenging corners and a nice long straight for drafting someone.  :)

Did some offline testing here last night with lots of cars....Super GT500s and FIA2008 mod as well as ours. More of that later.

As for times, by the time I'd finished I was down to low 38s in the Lister which felt nicer here than at Albert Park. The F550 was a joy to drive here though, so as I'm not threatening the champ leaders ( ;D) I might take the hit for a second car change.

i like barcelona GP,

i think one of the best GTR2 tracks for online races.
i did no laps actual, but know track good, think 1.35.xxx in quail and 1.36.xxx in race i can do in dry and normal temps. (like it looks actual).

Probably the best of the default tracks that come with the game IMO.
Offers absolutely every kind of corner that you want on a track 8)

Aiming to get some laps in tonight

Jeez, GT i thought you didnt like driving these :(

Managed to just get under 1.40 last night. Car didnt feel too bad, good traction off the rear, front washes out slightly tho. bit too much understeer but if i try and stiffen up the rear i loose traction!

It really depends on the track Mark....I don't like those heavy braking zone/slow corner kind of circuits ala Albert Park, but something with a bit of flow and some elevations, I'm more comfortable with. Same with all the GTR2 cars really.

what a flipping disaster that turned out to be  :(

Ran well in qually in 7th behind the leading pack of aliens only to get a CTD near the end and have to restart my pc. Got back in with 5mins to spare, but lost the qual setup i had just tweaked. Cocked up last chance of flying lap and had to settle for 9th.

Race was okay for first 20mins though i was constantly struggling with understeer and although i gained a few places i also lost a couple. Then on about lap 12 i got a real slow oversteer spin in to the armco and broke my front splitter  :'( car wouldnt turn in for any corner for rest of lap and lost about 30 seconds so had to pit for repairs. Spent a minute or so in pits getting lapped by the grid, but as if that wasnt bad enough i got a stop and go on pit exit !  ::) Quit in disgust at that point as could see it was going to be one of those fruitless nights where it all goes wrong and no point continuing nearly 2 laps down so early in the race. :(
Anyone would think i had upset the GTR2 god by stating how good its evo rival is  :o

Great race with home victory for me ;D

Qualified 2nd very close to Berger but I thought this time I could challenge him for victory though, even if I was always gonna change tyres in the pits.

The whole situation changed on lap 1 though when Berger ran wide and went from 1st down to last place. I was in the lead with clean air and only Truetom following me. I had been saving tyres in the opening laps so later on I could pull away. Berger seemed to try an aggressive strategy by pitting very early, but he got into trouble when he rejoined a lap down just behind me DOH! :P I kept lapping consistantly so he couldn't unlap himself and my only concern had to be TT. But with a fast pitstop for me I rejoined half a minute in front of TT (and Berger right behind him), so had an easy race overal, with a nice fastest lap included.

Grats TT and Berger as well as all finishers :)

Grabbed a 575 setup from my odds/sods collection and it seemed ok when I had a quick pracci this pm. Realised halfway through quali though it was asymetrical with different spring/camber/pressures/dampers....all over the place  ??? . So I panicked and guessed a setup which turned out to be horrible in race. This combined with a useless pitstop and too many mistakes made it a miserable night's racing. Wish I'd stuck with the Lister now  :'(

I've come to the conclusion that pitsops add nothing to a race and can only ruin it rather than enhance it. Just my opinion of course.

Grats to pody and thanks for some nice racing though.

was a interesting race with a dump mistake from me and 2xtimes unluck in pitstops.
after i did mistake in lap 2 and i come from 1st to last place, i did calculate how much laps i can do with 140l (not easy to calculate during race), i come to 24 laps, so i did pit in lap 11 because it cost to much time to try to overtake and come more in front, so i did pit and changed tyres, but i come direct behind busi out of pitbox  >:(, he was 1 lap in front and his tyres was now 12 laps old, after 2 or 3 laps i was faster but i did not know what to do??? his laptimes was to fast for easy overtake and drive away and i think to fight cost more time then drive behind him and i am not sure if this is ok to overtake a car which is 1 lap in front, especialy the car was only 0.5 sec. slower, so i did stay behind with a ok gap and was hopeing he do not loose speed, in end of his stint he did loose a little speed and a slower car was in front of me too which had bad tyres and not stopped, but was 1 place in front of me, so it comes that TT comes direct in front of me out of pits :( ???, in corner 1 o 2 i was (nearly) side by side but could not overtake and i did give him a little hit (lucky nothing happens, good car controll he had)- sorry for this-. then i did try to stay behind TT, but my tyres was already 20min. old and he was a little faster then me and so i did finished 2 or 3 sec. behind him.
1 or 2 sec. faster pitstop and come out in front of busi and i had perhaps done 2nd place, which i had done without my mistake in lap 2 too, because busi was i think same fast or little faster today and if busi is same fast in lister, i do loose the race for sure. so only 1 place i did loose.

congrats busi for dominante win and TT for 2nd place

Ha, I feel like Petrov! Keeping Berger behind even with his worn tyres feels like a win. :)  Messed up the pitstop again, took too much fuel (I have a petrifying fear to be left without it) and had 4 laps of fuel left at the end. That was the reason I came back on a track late, just before Berger. I knew if he gets by I'll never gonna be able to get the place back. Didn't see the replay but I don't have a feeling I was blocking the way in the left / right combo after start (T2/T3). We had contact but I managed to keep it on track and Berger waited for me to recover (thanks :) ). After my tyres came up to temps it was clear Berger had old tyres and I managed to stay in front 'till the end. :)

C6R is a great car, I must say, love it. 8) Bad luck MJ, you were fast in P1. :(
Busi should be forced to pit twice. :P

I'm never quick here, and it looked like a boring trundle round at the back with my hard tyres hoping to not
to change, as it was I swapped them for mediums at the stop, had some good fun chasing Jose before
and after the stops, so turned out to be a good race even if we were wayyyyyy behind  :)

Having only really switched to the Corvette 20mins before hand wasnt really expecting much but qually was the first time i ran with low fuel so was quite surprised to get in the 37's. There were quite a few within a few tenths so was expecting a good race.
With MJ right behind was expecting something but wasn't quite expecting as we are heading to the hairpin/ tight left my screen goes black for a second. Managed to scrabble round eventually but MJ had got past. Then eventually managed to catch him up and had a good dice with him and Apex and managed to get past and stretch my legs a bit. Managed to catch up Mike who seemed to be struggling in the Viper tried a move downthe inside of turn one but he didnt see me so sorry about that.
Managed to get past after he made a mistake and was closing on nsfast and H@L as they must have been dicing. H@L made a mistake and ended up behind me and was closing so thought i'd mention i was pitting on TS but sadly he was pitting also and that extra pressure meant i wasnt as cautious as i should have been. I engaged the limiter early and was slowing down but i guess its quite a low speed here and it caught me out. So after serving my stop-go the next lap i was right at the back annoyingly but with Apex 13 secs up the road. So tried to get my head down and ty and push to close it but didnt really make much dent into it in the end.

Shame you didnt stick around Mark we might have ended up together!

Nice to jump into the GT cars for a quickie. Like spanner said earlier, I was really struggling with the Viper. Throwing on the GTC setup and expecting it to work with the GT1 cars was a bit foolish on my part. The car had massive understeer on corner entry and mid-corner and would snap sideways with throttle application in slow corners.  Still, I had an opportunity to race which is better than working anyday.

I saw the move Spanner. I was a bit too agressive with the defense. I think we touched just a bit if memory serves me correctly.

I got the sense you weren't far enough up inside. Only the video replay will tell the story. Going forward, if you are up to the front of my door when we both brake and I dive for the apex, it is technically your corner; hit me/stand your ground.

i was mega disapointed to have to leave this early on as i think this is a great track for GT racing and it was looking like it was going to be a great race long battle with a good few similar placed drivers. But for some reason my car sucked in race setup despite me being able to do regular 37's with it in pre race praccy  ??? Come the race it was awful to drive, and no matter what i tried setup wise, and i did a shedload of practise for this race as knew the GT1's need it here, i couldnt ever get a decent feeling car or break into the 36's yet alone 35's that some did. I constantly had an overheating left rear tyre for one.

Am amazed TT got so much extra pace out the same car, i must have gone down a deadend setupwise, which can happen sometimes when your trying different things.  :'(
