With all the calculations done and considering the 'worst result dropped' rule, Berger only needs a 10th position to win the title.

Can we at least have enough attendance so that the title isn't decided in the warmup lap? ;D would be cool to have at least 11 drivers running so nothing is over until the final two laps :P

I wish I had not retired in Le Mans... :'(

11 points i need if you win the race, same points in UKGTR the driver which do make more races do win title, not the driver with more wins, this was 2 seasons ago as jayblue and gazzer49 had same points, think rules did not change since this.
11th place i only need, good is that there is not 75% or 80% lap rule for getting points in ukgtr, so it can be that i have title before race do start if only 11 drivers are, but what is do strong not hope.

i like silverstone, but i see again busi as favourite, lister is perhaps a little slower over single laptime, but much better in racetactic. hope this is same version which we did in GC league races.
servus

edit: ups...you write 10th place, i was reading 10points, sorry
edit2: and 11th place is wrong too, yes i need 10th place, blind i am a lot  :D

Not sure if there's some problem, but I've needed to restart the server twice now (yesterday and today) as it wasn't appearing in the lobby. Also, it's still named "UKGTR Practice".

Welcome roofrider :)

You can join us as a spectator, or even better just jump right in and race with us. Make sure you have the carpack, skinpack, track etc installed (details in the first post) and get online nice and early to make sure you have no problems. Have a read of our rules too, particularly the bit about formation lap; we don't want you disappearing off into the distance  ;)

Hi roofrider, I recall in my first couple of races, I started with everyone & the just happily rode round on my own till the leader came to lap me, the the Esc'd out to each from the pits.
That was probably a bit cautious, but at least I got some track time with real drivers.
See you on the server 8)

That's just the good ole British weathermen getting excited again TT. Although Mrs. Goldtop did say she was hoping for a good 8 inches. Guess she'll be disappointed again then :)

You're talking about snow depth, right? ;)
Well, it was a good race. A bit lonely - Q 3rd, finished 3rd. API's a pal, he didn't want to overtake even when he could. 1 liter of the darn fuel! :hammer:

Welcome again Roofrider. Hope you stay with us. 8) Hop around forum, there are a lot of helpful threads. Shout if you need anything. :) There will be some great fun races held here as we prepare for the next season. :thumbup2:

Grats for the Championship podys and thanks to all that made it happen.

Nice race for me, lots of action and fights.

I was lucky not to loose 2 places to Nsfast and Apex.

Great season, thanks Legzy. :)

Another great race with a whole fight against Berger for the entire race distance :)

Qualified in 2nd with my PB so no chance to go even 2 tenths faster, but I managed to beat FreQ's time in the same car so I'm happy ;D

Started well and gave Berger some pressure, although he pulled away between laps 3 to 8 or so. Later on I was a bit faster and got closer. We found RoofRider a couple of times which gave us interesting moments haha ;)

Berger pitted on lap 18, my plan was that lap too but stayed out to check if Berger had changed tyres just in case. He did, so I knew I had around 4-5 seconds of less fuel rig on so I could allow myself to do 2 or 3 more laps and rejoin ahead. I timed that one up perfectly, as I pitted on lap 21 and rejoined JUST in front of Bergie :D

From there I pushed to the limit lap after lap, managed to set a high 1:40 in race on fresh tyres which was surprising anyway.

Victory and P2 in championship, if I'd not retired in Le Mans or Thruxton it could've been very close. But anyway,

Congratulations Berger :)

i did a good race yesterday, i had the complete 1st stint busi close behind me, but his car was to slow in straights to come close to me, but in the corner busi was always faster then me, this was a little frustration, because i did know if busi stay close behind to pitstop time then i can not win this race.
i did pit in lap 18 and after this did try to push push and hope that busi do make change tyres too and i perhaps (but not much realistic) stay in front after his stop.
but this do not happen and he come 1 or 2 sec. in front of me  out of pits, i did know that i must overtake him in this lap when his tyres and brake are cold, i did come close behind but not close enough for overtake, then after 1 lap he did make extrem fast laps and i could not follow him, i was a little surprised how fast laptimes he did and after he did a 1.40.9xx i did know he will be to fast in this race.
yesterday i was quick , but busi was quicker :'(, well done busi, great race with lister!!!

congrats to truetom too for 3rd place

thanks to the UKGTR chiefs for running the league.

hope i can drive next season too

Another dreadful GT1 outing for me which was made worse by my usual dire pitting. Lugged around a full tank of fuel only to have to go back and fore in my pit box to trigger the pitboard ::)

Congrats to Busi on the win, Berger for the championship and to Legzy for putting it all together. Well done to roofrider too for finishing his first race with us.

For anyone interested, this is what I set out to do as GTR2 chief back in June: HERE (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=7966.msg141142#msg141142)

With an average attendance of just over 14 drivers per race for both championships in this season 13, it's been an... OK season. :-\

We had 16 Championship races, eight were at tracks not previously used in UKGTR2. Some I think were popular choices, others it seems people could have done with out (I remember finishing one race myself thinking, that track didn't work as well as I hoped... lol).
I liked the shorter 60 minute enduro (though Spanner has told me a million times he doesn't ) & it was good to see some of the drivers mixing it up by doing full distance on one set of hards instead of two sets of mediums, added in an extra tactical side to the racing. Though I think that mixing up the endurance race lengths would probably have been even better (anything between 60-90mins :-\).
Shame the reintroduction of variable weather never really seemed to produce... err rain. Must have been the dryest winter in decades!
I think the new scoring introduced worked well, with a dropped score week, you're more likely to end up with the rightful champion, yet a closer championship to fight for.
Speaking of fighting for things, I was particularly chuffed at how even I managed to get the physics pack, with all races usually finishing with five different cars in the top five! :o 8)
But I wish I'd used the GT2 cars, I missed them this season (my favourite class) & it's a shame though not a surprise that nobody took on the task offer of finding us a couple of cars to add in (like for me I guess time was the issue), but I'm pretty sure H@L's going to put that right for us all for next season ;D.

Anyway, thanks to Dave & Pete for there help & indeed all for attending & a few of you for your encouragement/support along the slightly shorter than expected ride that was 'Legzy, Director of UKGTR'.

I leave you in very good hands, over to you H@L

I've probably sunk to my lowest this season, didnt really enjoy it at all so i'm sorry if your taking it all personally Legz! Clearly everyone else seemed to step up a bit this season whereas at times i was pushing too much just try and keep up. I kept being drawn to the Aston from glories past but for whatever reason it just didnt feel the same.
