Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.

Special Notes: The grid procedure for Race 07 events is slightly different from GTL/GTR2. Upon joining the grid, you won't be able to rev your engine until all drivers are present on the grid. Do not attempt to esc back to garage or you will be DQ'd.

I just cant drive these things at all, far too oversteery even coming out of the corner so i'll not do this.

weird, i just did a few laps (cool a non working day today here  :D) and i don't seem to have that problem, well maybe I'm just not pushing hard enough being around 1.36 (occasionally 1.35.high) and some hotlaps being at around 1.33 or even less :o

as a caterhamphobic until today (for no reason  :laugh:) i had never spent much time on the caterham before (well i probably never even completed a lap before today in that car but that would be hard to believe hehe), but i'm glad i did now because i think it drives just great, and you really feel when you start loosing grip and most of the time you can correct it with great success with a nice counter-steering manoeuver

i'll try to join tonight and hopefully some more ex-catheramphobic will do the same  :angel:

Mark, that set up I gave you was way off....they're not that hard to drive.

didnt even know this event was on. :( Too late notice for me and i am taking far too many liberties this month with racing and drinking nights so best give it a miss :P

Race 1 - I had to find my feet, which effectively meant I drove round on my own at the back the whole race. :sleep1:

Race 2 - Car next to me did a false start, & then stopped in the middle. The two AI cars in front of me refused to move when the lights changed while that car sat in the middle. So already 4 secs behind the group when we got going. I only had enough pace to stick with a group, once I'd been dropped (i.e. the moment the race started) I'd not be able to catch. So had another "exciting" 7 laps on my own. Till I decided to wait for NSFast, so I'd have someone to race. It took him one lap to overtake & start to drive away. So I just exited out.

Don't think I've had that much fun since my last iRace. ::)


Races on a Wednesday are becoming harder & harder for me to attend. Think I might have to mull over my plans. :-\

oh i feel so dumb, didn't know some of those were AI cars, has to be the first time I'm in an online race with AI cars, i'm probably not a big fan of that especially if they slow down or cause problems to real racers, anyway i dont really know what happened here before but i guess if those AI cars are there it's because the majority wanted them.

my races :

race 1 : great first race for me, had some very nice laps and was probably doing very close to the best of my ability, good consistency and very nice lap times for my standard. Was about to have a nice battle with Abe but he made a mistake so i could pass and finally finish at a great 2nd

race 2 : was not very comfortable in the traffic and had to be super cautious, once the field spread up i was 6th behind ... an ai car that i thought was human huhuh .. and picnic the real human, tried to catch them but i could not repeat the nice lap times i was able to do in the first race so i just couldn't close the gap to them, finished 6th

i really like driving these cars and i spent a nice evening, thanks to everyone for driving carefully  :-*

Made a right mess of both races tonight ::)  Had some good fun in Race 1 with nsfast and a few of the AI but made too many mistakes and finished last of the finishers with a very second hand cat.

Things just got worse in Race 2. My finger slipped off my assigned clutch button on the grid and I shot off the line almost hitting the AI car in front. I swerved and slammed the brakes on but stalled causing a roadblock and incurred a stop/go for my sins. Sorry Legzy  :-[ Took my penalty and then had a lonely race until 2 laps to go when I caught and passed a couple of AI cars.

A good start into the season. :) Didn't really do any serious training, took Silverstone setup but it was not as good as I thought. Had to make the car more oversteary though there's really not much one can do. Ended with a softer front as rear was hardest possible already. 2 cm rake and brake bias to the rear to help turn in. Some gear tweaking and Voila! ;D Pole in the primary race, Sly followed but I guess he made a mistake and so I managed to win. Started 8th in the secondary race and the biggest obstacle were AI cars. Again. :-\ Used 3 laps to pass them and so lost too much time to go for the top. 7 seconds lead that Ade (and Lazlow in first) had proved too much for 9 laps. They didn't do any mistakes and unfortunately didn't do any real battle between them that would slow them down. Well done. :)

Grand show of a fair racing in both races. Glad to be here. :)
