(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.

Please note new race times above. Following requests, all Wednesday races will now start at our usual time of 20:40.

Quali for race 1 will now start at 20:30 and will only last 10 minutes. This should be ample time for an outlap, a banker and a quick one. Hopefully this will also add a little more spice to the mix.

alas ive had to drop out of these wednesday night races as i do the RD 60min races on tuesday nights, and also P&G normally on thursday. I value my gonads too much to attempt to race 3 nights on the trot ! :P  Weds has always been a tough night to get to race.

Hehe, we have a GT Pro race @Brno with MJ today. Nice way to learn the track. I wonder how slow it will feel to drive Cats here after GT Pro Saleen. :scooter:

Having problems with game PC atm, already missed RD race yesterday. Hope I can fix it for tonight. Damn Windows collapsed after update. >:(

Still trying to sort my Race07 ffb out for the G27 and managed to lose my clutch somewhere which gave me a S/G for false start ::).....then I overshot my box and had to come in again ::) ::). Wheel felt lousy so I decided to bail out  :(

Disappointing turnout again with only 5 of us plus the AI.

Not a big fan of the track, but got the car feeling closer to enjoyable for this one (finally).

Race one started great, but made a mistake on lap 3 & was lukewarm lapping till the end.

Race two was very different & enjoyable. Started 2nd & had good scrap with Lazlow, then Ade, then NSFast... lost them all predictably, but it kept going till the final lap :)

Not sure where we go with this, with only five humans on the grid ???

its a shame these cat races are suffering low attendances as they are great fun for racing, but think its probably the weds eve slot thats causing low turnout  :-\

Cant we run it on a monday eve (if thats any better?) or a thursday when P&G/GTL isnt on?

One other thing...are you actually telling anyone else this is on? ie post over at No-grip or other Race forums.

It could be the Wednesday evening slot, but then who's to say Monday would be any different. We've just lost GTL from Monday. Thursdays now alternate between GTL and PnG, so that's out.

I'm not "advertising" as such, but I'll give that some thought. It would be interesting to know if the server name changes had any impact, as we do seem to have had a few new faces recently.

Not that keen on the Cat tbh, that's why I didn't race tonight.  Wednesdays are ok for me as I tend to go to 'BREASTS' Gpl after.

I'm not really that up on what the differences are but could it be that it's Race 07 being used and not GTR Evo?  Would more people have Evo?  I think Evo tends to be what people buy first, then add Race 07 to it later.  I got R07 as a free add on.  I'm probably completely wrong though  :D

I hate alternates, weekly's the way to go. I might get alternate with something I don't do and then I'm here less and less. This is exactly what's happening. It's all iR's fault. :P

I'd imagine more people would have Race07, GTRevo is an addon to it. If you have Evo then you have Race.

I'll happily turn up anyday of the week to something that interests me. I never like the caterhams in the original Race, dont like them here, they are my least favorite cars. I'd even drive the mini's! Track selection is a bit boring having done these tracks to death.

I'd even had a quick AI race in the WTCC extreme cars round nurburgring last night. Easily on par with GT1's, shame i set the AI too high! there slow in qually but bloody quick in the race!

In another post Mark you said your'd struggle to get another night's racing anyway.

I dont think it matters what night it is, people are racing most nights of the week by the sound of it anyway. Tuesdays seem either Gamerscrib or racedepartment now for most.

Agree with Spanner mostly and would add: RD and GC are mostly 'cause of the decline of activity here. If you ask me, this is till my home League and would like it to stay this way. There's enough drivers here still, just too much different sims going on. Might it be better to have our most attended sim here on an elite day and do other sims on other sites / servers?

Sorry mate, that's not quite correct.
Due to a decline here, a lot of us are having to find races elsewhere (ie RD & GC).
It is a subtle but important difference. :(

Not if you get it on steam;  Race 07 is £3 extra just now, or you can buy Race 07 and get GTR Evo at £3 extra.  I've only ever seen GTR Evo for sale on DVD in the shops and, like mine you normally get Race 07 with it.

I'm not sure reducing the amount of sims will have much effect, although I do see how it could.  IMO its just been a bit slow coming the use of Race 07 or GTR evo, most people have established themselves elsewhere long before the races started properly here.  I only joined in here as I'm an active driver in UKGPL and am too lazy to go searching for, and getting used to the ways of a new forum; well that and I like the way this forum works with all the information in one place on the race threads.

Its a tricky one.  I'm afraid I'm not very good a suggesting new ideas.

Don't let me go quoting Kevin Kline from "Wanda" about the English ...  :P
Anyways, it's nicer to drive on a full server, even if not all of them are your long known and trusted friends. :-\

I was about to write a similar reply when i read spanners post !  Its lack of activity, low turnouts and resistance to moving forward that are making me look elsewhere for my racing buzz. As TT says, this is my racing home, has been for many years now, but sadly its definitely hanging on by its fingernails for GT racing and decent grids. I'd rather race a full grid of 28 latest GT cars elsewhere than a grid of 8-12 here using old car sets even if my regular racing buddies arent with me. :(  If we dont move with the flow, we get left behind and i think as a few of us have started looking around we realise that this place has been left behind. I also blame those iR blaggards too though ! Even my own team nicked two new drivers that i recruited in quick succession to the dark side that is iR  :P

Well, I'd love to have'em here but whatever makes them happy, you know. ;) You might also say they moved forward while we're hanging back and falling behind. I know, I know, it's a heresy. :angel:

yeah you probably have me there TT  :laugh: they do say we hang onto the past and iR is the future and probably right in some respects but iR still doesnt give you proper GT racing 2-3yrs after its launch !....ooh, vette versus...err another vette, versus another vette, what an exciting grid line up  ::)

Even Evo is about 2 years old now!  :o

I've decided that in view of the declining numbers, it's best that I call time on this series  :(

I believe congratulations are in order for Ade for the championship win and Lazlow and TT as podies. Not forgetting another bit of silverware for us Kerbies in the team results  ;D
