A couple of notes re. Blue Flags during qualifying and race where they differ from GTR2;

Blue Flags during qualifying - if you see a blue flag during qualifying it will be on your outlap and the driver approaching is on a hotlap. Please take this into account and act accordingly. The driver behind does not know you are on an outlap so no rash moves out of the way please  Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.

Blue Flags during the race -  if you see a blue flag during the race it means the driver approaching is about to lap you. Please take this into account and act accordingly. It differs from GTR2 in that you will not be penalised for not allowing the lapping driver to pass within a certain period. The flag is informational only. Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.[/color]

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

I'm away this Friday :(  I was hoping it was going to be some Mickey Mouse track with some carpy roundy-roundy car ... but no!  Damn you Oily and your picking what looks to be another corking combo :D

Ah never Adam! You're going to have to cancel obviously ;).'tis a pain but it goes with the territory on Fridays really! I've missed quite a few of my own races too but there are plenty more to come do not fear!

It is a cracking layout though I must admit - I was moaning about the fact the Zandvoort National track's a bit crappy and it was actually Legz who pointed this one out, I didn't even know it existed! It's a nice sweeping bend where that rubbish double apex right was on the National configuration which means it's just lots and lots of flowing fun.

Looking at 1:15'ish laps I'd say, maybe a shade quicker.

Ah never Adam! You're going to have to cancel obviously ;).

I could see if the missus is happy staying in the hotel by herself I suppose - a bit of peace and quiet  ;D

I've raced the Skippy round here with Club England, and it was a lot of fun (Darren might disagree though :D) - should be epic I think - and the 2 x 30 format should suit it perfectly.

Stupid question time...  Are both races exactly the same?

Thanks Legz  - yep both the same Darren, I figure we just need to spank the hell out of them a couple of times at least before getting all creative!

Hahaha don't try and pretend you wouldn't have moaned about something - but strangely you'll still be missed ;). The next one will be right up your street too

Good combo guys, Logitech have seriously let me down this week, I have been waiting for an email from UPS telling me when my replacement shifter will arrive, since Monday >:(. If I'm not lighting fireworks and eating jacket spuds I will be there, with my paddle shifters, and auto clutch.

Any one else had trouble with the G25/27 jumping from fifth gear into third ?, the shifter it's self stays in fifth, but it drops it into third, then the gear box goes, BOOM !.

Take it easy 8).

Can't say I've had that prob dude but when using the sequential mode double downshifts have started creeping in so I'm also back to the paddles these day.

Oh and er.... SERVER'S UP!!

Im truly sorry but I have become obsessed with the Spec Racer Ford and improving my iRating, probably not the best combination but unfortunately this might put a stop to my racing with you guys for this season. Feeling like a right jerk now. Will keep checking in to say hi and if I can get races in earlier in the week then I will be there, server room allowing.

@Burtoner, It should be sorted by end of next week, it's an intermittent problem, it behaved for the 2 races tonight, all though, James Steel did witness me spitting my engine out of my exhaust in practice. Good racing tonight I enjoyed it, had a good battle in the first race with Martin kawa, especially in the last four laps or so. sorry if I caused any bother on Lap one of the first race, if know one remembers then I guess it don't matter .

Thanks for hosting James, take it easy.

Couple of good races, with Jonathan in one race & Nathan in the other. Racing bumper to bumper with both of them & sometimes side by side for ages! Don't think we had one rub either :-\

Fantastic driving both gents 8)

Foolishly took the Roadster in race one and ended up getting swamped by and then stuck behind the Cup cars. Ended up stuck in a big pack and took a battering after we ended up four abreast. Then ended up squeezed in behind Steve Claeys and turned him round, so I waited and let him back past. Then on the last lap he was a bit slow out of the penultimate corner and left the door open so I duly stuck my nose in, but unfortunately turned him round, ended up stuck behind his turned car and losing a load of places. Still managed to be the first Roadster home!

Second race I switched to the Cup car. Didn't like it as much - too many gears making it fussy in some of the bends and not as much steering feel, but found it much easier to race people and had some good tussles with Blunder and Darren (even if the latter appeared to have some aero damage slowing him down, and we ended up rubbing door handles as I passed round the outside of turn 1).

These cars are kind of fun to race but they're the wrong side of the power to grip ratio for my tastes - you inevitably end up with contact to effect a pass, unless you operate a 'no defensive lines' policy. :-\

Yeah I stupidly put a wheel off into the dirt while approaching turn 3.  This sent me head first into the wall.  :o  Surprisingly the car still felt good to drive but from then on I was over a second a lap slower.  The Aero/cooling damage really made a big difference.  Not only was my acceleration affected, my new lower top speed meant I was now a sitting duck down the straights.

Regarding the 'pass around the outside of T1'...  It's funny I don't quite remember it the same way.  ;)  Yes we rubbed door handles heading into the braking zone for T1 (which was my fault for drifting slightly left while under braking - sorry  :-[ ).  But, I think the slight nudge up my rear, which pushed me too deep into the corner, helped your cause no end...   :-*

Both races were great fun.  Race 1 finished with James H pipping me to 3rd by only 0.01 seconds....  Two more metres and I would have had you. ;)

Race 2 was full of highlights...  Loads of overtaking...  However the real highlight was Mr Oily (a.k.a. dirty git) deliberately trying to take me out down the s/f straight, only to spin himself.   Serves you right ;)

Thanks again for hosting another memorable evening of racing.  See you next week providing it isn't at Lime Rock. ;)
