A high 1m02s is the fastest I've managed yet on qualy fuel (30lbs) with the high downforce set-up (in the Williams).

Great circuit with both of these cars, I suspect the Williams race will be frantic but fun!

I'll probably host a mixed (!!!) practice session for this one tonight if people fancy it.  I'll try and start the session around 7pm ish.

if i'm online and black ops isn't tempting me i'm there Ross ;)

I will try and make it and if so Spec Racer for me! :)

3 resets in the F1?

That was awesome, cheers for hosting Ross - just a shame we couldn't switch cars in the session, my years of experience tell me the MX-5 might require a slight adjustment to driving style.

Yeah, that was fun.

We'll have to try a mixed class race with the FW and the MX5/Spec just for the hell of it some time.  I reckon that the insane difference in speed might actually make it semi-feasible to have some challenging fun.

Don't forget - you can't chop and change car choice! Your first car selection is what you'll be stuck with for the event so do any testing off line if I were you.

Congrats on the Mazda win, Kimmo - way too fast despite that spin. Sorry to Jonathan Diclemente - too many of us in too small a space. :'(

Didn't realise the race was so early till 7:55pm, managed to get online by about 8:07pm & was straight into race.

I was obviously driving even worse than normal due to lack of bedding in time on track tonight prior to race & just abandoned half way due to lack of.... everything.
I just can't make races this early & wish I hadn't tried tonight. :(

Most enjoyable evening :) And what a contrast! The very short qual time in the Mazda race meant I qualified somewhere near the sharp end. Being surrounded by Cup cars while in the Roadster myself I was expecting the worse. That didn't really occur and suddenly I found myself in 3rd After going 3 wide down the return straight I found myself somehow in the lead! Of course this didn't last. Kimmo fought his way through the field and took the lead and as my tyres/concentration levels drop Dave caught me and got passed to. Still a 3rd is a great result for me. Well chuffed.

Jump in to the F1 and it was like a new track. Mentally fast and it took a while to calm down and get a rhythm. Again a short qual but this time no sharp end for me. 2nd last on the grid. But as with the nature of these things a few incidents by others got me up to 2nd right on Ken's tail. Trouble was he could lap again and again at the pace he was driving, I was on my limit. So not long before I spun :( From then on  I just kept falling in to the same mistakes, main one being I'm sure I can go a bit quicker somewhere only to find if the car can my talent can't. Frustrating to be so inconsistent but these things are plain mad.

Hopefully see you all again next week but it's FTTC install day so everything could go very wrong!
