Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of every-one's connection will be reduced.
(5) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

It's a really tight points battle. 4 points seperate the 2nd through 5th. I am currently leading (not by much), but you never know if I need to work in the city so I'm not counting my chickens yet. Even with the drops there's only 1 point seperating Legzy and Lorenzo for 2nd place. Keep the gloves up guys.

After tooling around looking for holes in this track I can say with confidence the chicanes somewhat neuter this track. This is part of what I wanted to point out as differences between old and new tracks. The new tracks are so much safer, but less exciting in my opinion. Still, I think we should get some mighty interesting racing. I wonder if drivers will take the same car as last week? I know I'll be changing my weapon.

Sadly I shall miss this one, as I'm told that we need to go with my daughter to a ruddy craft fare in York!

What joy!  ::)

Track is indeed naff comapred to the original, so far am a second faster in 275 than the AATC, so may be
using 275. Funny, As I drove into the track with my trailer I saw a very rusty old motorhome parked behind
the pits, it said "ALex vV" on the side of it. I guess it must have been sat there for at least 40 years.  :o

You are pushing against an open door here Mike.  I can't stand these chicane infested, emasculated, bounce over the curbs modern tracks.  70s all the way for me.

Back then it sounded like a good idea  ;D
Must have been under the influence of some  O0 when I left my camper at the track..

The current track design thinking seems to be build a "technical" track to sort out the men from the boys.  ???  Entertainment - not sport which we like, and no thought to making racing enjoyable.  ::)  I'm OK on long fast bends and not to bad on hairpins but these chicanes etc I'm carp.  :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :ban:

The chicanes are terrible to drive with these american monsters.

Absolute rubbish race from me.  >:(  Wasn't enjoying it at all.

First sorry to Alex who I must have bumped at least 5 times, I was really struggling to get the car to stop. I must have something set wrong, because everyone seemed much later on the brakes than me.

I decided to come in and pit earlier than I planned then discovered that the pitcrew only fill the car to the amount you have preset, not put that amount in!  >:(. Couldn't face going around & doing another stop so called it a night.

Cya next week at bumpy Oulton.

Had some really close, clean and fun racing in the first 7-8 laps of the race. Unfortunately I then lost eye-contact with the cars in fornt of for the rest of the race.

Congrats to the Podium, great driving !

I won't be able to join for the season final next thursday :'( :'( but thx for a great season guys  ;D

I sure hope Clive and Lorenzo will manage to bring the team trophy to its rightfull owners  ;)

np Geoffers. Actually was quite enjoying the battle. Hope that I left you enough racing room. Had to evade also once or twice.
(btw you only hit me twice  ;) )

Quite a challenge, this Chicani Albi. Guess you made your point Mike, old circuit configurations are much more fun.

Race was much more fun than I expected with the layout. Had several duels with people before and
After stops. |Is galling to have someone 20 secs behind when you pit, and find them 20 secs in front
when you come out, I really have to figure how people do these lightning fast stops, I have XD but
I have no option to set what happens at the stop. (that I can see)

There is something off about the LM2/server/something else The last couple of results I have done. including
this one, the files are corrupt as in they contain a line saying filename notmatched. I have to copy and paste
the race and qual.txt file contents into local notepad and then rename them correctly, as it shortens the name,
and then import into LM2. I can do it, but it is becoming a pain. Any server gods got a clue? Picnic? Dave?

I don't know if you have already the last version Matt. If not, download it: http://www.vitumo.de/files/XD/XD.zip

Then, when you are on track, push the key "\" (near the 1), and you will see another screen different by the tyre wear and temperatures similar to the pit list. You can modify it with the keyboard arrows, going up down, and left-right to change the tyre compound or put the options "no change". By default, the pit list looks like the list that appears when you stop at the pit, so by default, you will see that is setted on the tyre compound you're currently using, and the fuel shows the liters that you setted for the pit directly in the garage on your setup (usually I do it before to start the race).
You can even choose to NOT repair the car damage during the race, always using the arrows... but you know, do it on the straight!!!
When you turn off the engine, it's enough to push Enter, and your pit will start immediately as you setted on your xd. Give it a check 3-4 laps before the pit to avoid bad surprises.
Really grats to Mike for his victory, tomorrow I'll make a race report. Bye all!

I'm doomed with it.
Anyway, nice first 6 laps battling very hard with Stig, without contact, well driven mate.  :)

Congrats to Mike and podium and...all finishers.

I didn't start in 5th Alex, I started in the last row with Legzy beside me, due to my connection lost
very near to the end of qually session. I made the 5th time before I lost it.

Very interesting race again!

Even this one very close on the strategy.

I had a bad start, and at the first corner, I was on the outside, with Thomas M. inside. Unfortunately the first corner borders, are too high, and there's no place for 2 cars, so we had a contact, and my right suspetion was damaged since the first corner :(, without any fault by both drivers I guess.
Luckily the circuit of Albi get only a couple of left corners, so it was quite easy to go on even with a broken suspention. I decided to not repair the damage on my xd, and the race went on with no troubles til the pit stop of Thomas & Mike. We were 3 drivers in 2.5-3 seconds during the first 20 laps. Nice stuff!
Thomas anticipated his pit, and I was pushing pushing & pushing again to comeback on Mike before the pit, in which I am usually slightly faster than him. I risked a bit cause I didn't imagine that the pit limiter was setted at 48 kph, instead of the usual 60 kph, but I was lucky enough not to take a Stop&go.
We leaved the pit lane with a distance of about 2 seconds, and I started again to chase Mike. Now the troubles is not to waste time with lapped drivers, and I have to thank all of you for the great fair play demonstrated every time I had to lap someone!
When there were only 7-8 laps to go, I managed to take him, but I had totally lost the mark at the 2nd chicane, sending the innocent Mike to roll like a top on the escape route... sorry again mate.
Fortunately I saw that he was able to follow his race without need of a pit stop, and a couple of laps later I was at his back again.
This time I was more careful on the approach, and I discovered that we were on a different final gear, that help me to accelerate better in a couple of long corners, but Mike had an advantage in acceleration from the slow corners, so I understood I would have passed Mike only for some mistake he could have done before the end.
Mike brought his car with less mistake than me til the checkered flag, so I had to give up 2 or 3 laps before the end, and he really desreved the victory of this race! Well done mate!
That was my last race of this champ, cause I have the Italian championship next Thursday. I tried to do my best in all the 3 races for the Oldies, and I'm really happy about the results! I hope that another Oldie will help Legzy to fight for the 2nd position in team championship, that it's not so distant now. As Obama says: Yes we can!
Thanks everybody for some great races here even during this season! Thanks to the organizer, and all the drivers that joined these races!
I hope to see you for the next champ with the P&G 3... who knows :)
Bye bye :)

We might be up against it in the final round as Legzy will probably recruit Greger Huttu for the Oldies.  ::)

Do you mean Tim M,  Manteos?
Only I'm not aware of a Tom M and I was up front (2nd) for the first 15/20 laps or so till I span after running across the grass in the 2nd chicane  :)

A real shame as I was enjoying the fight till then - 4th will do though ;D

I was expecting a dull race from this one considering the drastic differences between the track layouts. Surprisingly though, this tight and technical track proved to be a winner as well. It was much more difficult to drive than the flowing version from the 60's. With a technical circuit come mistakes. Manteos, FMJ and I made more than our share. I bet we made more mistakes in that race than we did in all the previous races this season combined. I can't tell you how many times I missed my brake point in the 2nd to last turn.

Manteos put up an incredible fight. He was quicker, but like he said earlier, I had track position and different gearing so I simply had to keep it on the black stuff. He made a fantastic effort though. Legzy also gets props for starting last and coming up to 5th.

Lorenzo has earned a slim (6 point) advantage over Legzy and Manteos with his podium finish. Ade is close behind (a further 2 points back). Lorenzo and Ade will be in Yellow cars for the last round and Legzy just sneaks into the Orange group. It is going to be a good battle till the end of the season.

Great effort Manteos, the last race will certainly have something to contest in the team championship now 8)

I wonder if I could get Ruskus to make a one off appearance for the Oldie team :-\ ;)

Decent race that, just a little lonely. Though with about 8 laps to go it looked like I might need a photo finish with FMG, gaining on me by a sec per lap but me with an 8 sec cushion. Sadly we got tangled up with Bill with about two to go (just one of those things). Despite fmg hanging about at first, not wanting to gain the place like that (I'm guessing), which meant we were able to get some great action in briefly, one we settled, he had too much pace for me as I knew I couldn't concede a corner, missed my braking &.....

Well done mate, good & gents driving again 8)

p.s. If Mike misses the last one, the championship's wide open. If not, there'll be a lot of us hoping for a lap 1 accidental collision @T1

I waited as it was me who punted you up the rear in the chicanes - not Bill as he'd slowed to let us both by  ;D
I can only guess your tyres were really shot as even the 350 didn't need to brake to exit the chicanes so I piled right into you when you braked at the turn in  :ninja:

Yes, I probably should have changed my Tyres when I pitted. The rear end was becoming more & more work to keep in check. If I recall, I was trying to stay wide of bill, watch what you were doing & then I remembered the little matter of getting through that damn chichane... Once again, sorry to both of you.

I have to say, I thought this track was ok, but I preferred the old one & actually thought that one was safer! Lol

As I've said before it's very difficult trying to keep out of people's way when they are racing - last thing I want to do is upset other driver's races.  I try and keep off line, when I can - problem comes on these narrow technical tracks, there is too much room for error.  If I get it wrong on the corner preceding a short straight I finish up in the middle of the track making overtaking difficult compromising the two overtakers lines, as happened here.

I'm sorry for any misunderstanding I caused.

Other than my earlier apology, I had an enjoyable night's racing.  I too had a better night than I initially expected and had problems getting the braking points consistent on most corners - I couldn't find a quick reference point and had to rely on distance to a marker board.  Put in new PBs at each stage last night, I'm coming to terms with the car.  Delicate right foot and quick hands.

Made reasonable start but got knocked off early on the first lap - took a couple of laps to settle down.  Then had long race against Henry and the time between us.  I pulled away initially, then he started to reel me in - put in a new PB during the process.  Just as he got within striking distance he pitted.  I pitted next lap - no damage to repair (a first and a tribute to the strength of these Yank Tanks).  Left my tyres and just put in my allotted fuel load and got away OK.  Gained about 50 secs on Henry so was able to relax and just put in a quicker lap when I thought it necessary.  I guess he had troubles as the time increased until he retired.  Finished 10th which appears to be about my position in this group.

Congrats to podium and especially to Mike for his track selections.
