Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=267&theme=5)
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Please read this

After the recent test race it was discovered that the Jag MkII has a delicate engine. If you drive it hard the engine will quickly expire. If you watch the revs and don't exceed 6000rpm you will be fine.
I have added another car to this series, the Daimler V8. There are two versions. The white car suffers in the same way as the Jag MkII however the red car has no problems.
I will continue to investigate if there is a fix for the Jag.

The Championship may have been won, but there are at least 10 drivers competing for the remaining 2nd and 3rd place podium steps.

I guess to be able to add myself to the show ;) Probably I will choose the less powerful Mini... after dinner I'm going to make some laps to try these cars. Someone of you will do the same? Or I have to turn lonely on the track?  :'( :'(

Cu :)

P.S. Hope to be able to start without a Stop & go this time ;D ;D

1 wheel out of the curb, and the game give the Stop & go? Not too realistic...........

I start to understand why I always had a bad mood with this game. If I go wide on the grass, losing speed and wasting time, it gives the cut in any case.... what a mental perversion...

Good fun til it lasted... but after the Stop & Go I really don't know if I'm going to race this sim anymore. I'm really without words to describe such a thing.

Cu :)

But I was simply too tired to go just to the end in last place - so I quitted.

Next three weeks "holidays" :-))) - so I hope to more awake!

Short race for me  :(

No prep and tired after work together with usual distractions meant this was never going to be good.

I also experienced cut warnings both in quali and race for putting a wheel off track. Didn't we turn off flags last time we raced here because of this  :-\

;D What a race.... Ade disappears into the distance and leaves me with a determined Geoffers.  :) 32 laps and I could not shake him. After I spun at the infamous T1 Geoff past me and I had a devil of a job to get P2 back. Great racing Geoffers sorry about the contact at T1 I was late on the brakes I guess but it was fun catching you again after I waited.  ::)

This track always catches me out at some point, its easy to over drive the car here, and the car changes so much over race distance.

Excellent race everyone.  ;)

Cheers

PS New Mother Board fitted as well as a pile of other bits PC now up to full speed again.  ;D

1 Stop go when I was in 4th and still had 4 wheels on the track, took that, exiting the pits in 6th. Worked back up to 4th again, 2 laps to go I got another Stop Go when I had 3 wheels on the track. Didn't take it because I was so  :censored:, so it's disqualified me. Not particularly fair...

A shame really as I had a chance at 2nd/3rd in the championship before all that.

You have to do it 3 times I believe to get a Stop Go. But it does seem a bit unfair on the out side of a corner I agree.  :-[

I did it ZERO times. First a Stop Go from nowhere, then one warning (deserved) later on and finally another instant Stop Go.

What it is, is the markers in the track that say when you're cutting a large amount are off. So it thinks you're getting a big advantage and penalises you for it. ::)

Guy's regarding the unfair cuts I don't know what to say. I'm sure we raced here before with the prototypes. I'll have to go back and check the post's after that event.

EDIT: Very odd. We raced here for 120 mins and not a single cut complaint in the post race reports https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=7840.0

The thing with those two races, Tony, is that they were both running much faster cars than this one. When you get slower cars like these, people are generally pushing the very limits of the track to try and get speed out of them, whereas they wouldn't be with the Prototypes.

Certainly was great fun Mark , you eked out a bit of a gap around half distance until your spin but there was barely more than a second between us for much of the race. I seemed to be really good for the first half of the lap (was regularly quicker than Ade's best first split in qually) but I was losing time on the GP section of the lap. No worries about the contact, as you hadn't been behind me before that you weren't used to my braking points.

Congrats to Ade & Mark.

About the cut track penalties, I am inclined to think that it would be better if we ran all the races with the flag rules off. Few tracks offer anywhere that gives an advantage by cutting a corner, you almost always lose time or risk losing control of the car & I think we are all trustworthy enough not to cut big lumps off the track. And the penalties you get for running wide out of corners are just plain farcical.

:( Woooh this seems a bit over the top....I guess I was really lucky. That said I found the best line was not to go deep into that hairpin as you got a really bad line into the next left hander.  :-\

Better late than never:

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/GTL/EarSep11/)

Didn't have trouble with cut warnings because marshals probably were fallen asleep at the time I got by their post.

Yeap, I found I needed to ride inner kerb to avoid possiblity of running wide. Still managed to get one warning.
