Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=271&theme=5)
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

I don't remember ever having raced at Misano, and I will get very little practice if any at all before this race.
Think I'll grab the Alpine; it's fun drive, and it'll probably be the easist one for me to keep on the tarmac  ;D

Hope to make this tonight. I had a quick drive around last night and the track does seem vaguely familiar, but I'm sure I've not raced here. Seems like a great choice for these cars though  :)

No idea what's quick here, but I fancy a bit of oversteery Escort type fun.

Never liked the Aston (or the E-Type or the Volvo or the TR4). Not to keen on the Healey either

275 or maybe Mini will be quick here. I will likely be donning my flat cap and digging out
my meershaum pipe and becoming a Volvo driver this evening......
Like the TR4 and Aston here, but I am a bit faster in the P1800s

Funny little track.

Not yet decided which car I'll take.

At the moment I'm two-tenths faster in the Escort than in the 275GTB - no idea how much space
is still left there.

Both cars are fun to drive.

Will decide spontaneously.

See you later.

I just installed XD today, and I've noticed that with the default setup I never manage to put any heat into the tyres. With Alpina, they always stay blue, and with Ferrari 250, the front right might go toward light green, but that's about it. I'm not great with setups, so what could I change to try to get some heat into my tyres? Or is it my driving style?

Same story once again  :( I get in the game and everything works fine right up until driver no. ? enters the game. I then get a CTD when I go to the garage, and from then on, I can load the track and X no. of drivers and then the get a CTD again. It doesn't matter what car I pick, there is still a mismatch somewhere  ???

I even tried reinstalling all the extra cars and the the skinpack ....... no change  :'(

Seems I may have to give up on GTL; this is the second time in a row I get CTD's for no apparent reason.

Any suggestions a to what I might try to do ?

Unlucky.

:P Bloody fuel guzzling Escort. I had a solid P2 when the fuel light comes on on lap 25 and looks serious.  :-[ Had to do a splash & dash but still came out in P4 disaster.  :o Well done Mike Ade & Gold top..... Good things come to those that wait.  ;D

Syd, I'm not an expert but you can lower the tyre values or stiffen the shocks. That will make the tyres works harder and become hotter... or you can drift through the corners.. (ade style).

Tony, I don;t think that the Mini times are registered correctly. Sandor was last in the standing whilst 1 lap down. Seems not right.
If you post the results I'll run the Analyzer but that will be tomorrow night...

Good race and had good battles all the way! (Sandor, Tibernius, Tony (a short one  ;) )

oh, can you also please add the Merc to the list?

:-\ Not sure about the start Mike I will look at the replay. I know there was you, Geoffers and I tight into T3 left and I took the tight line, I backed off as you were slightly in front coming out but then you just veered off to the right I didn't even see Geoffers Mini I figured he was off on the right hand line and I stayed tight left. If there was any contact I apologise.

Great race in the small mini but it only lasted 15 laps too long for my front tyres ;D
They were full red after only 3 laps so I knew i would have trouble later on ..........  and it did.

Made it to 6th palce but couldn't hold on to my earlier times and everyone was flying by and ended up second last.
Ah well, had great fun trying to keep position for as long as possible .

Maybe better luck next time ;)

Hugely entertaining drive in the Escort tonight. I might have had a better finish if I'd resisted the temptation to showboat trying to powerslide in 4th down that "straight" and stuffing it in the barrier  :wetfish:

Had a nice battle with Legzy early on and then another one with Mike....well done for the comeback and the win mate  8) The Healey looked very slow so well done also to Ade for a great drive to 2nd. Kerbies ruled tonight ok  :)

Bad luck to Mark with the fuel and thanks all for a fun night's racing.

I don't know which driver, I seem to have a mismatch with, but how will it help to know who it is ?

I already installed all the extra cars available, so why I'm the only one who get a CTD is beyond me ???

If we knew which driver you failed to load or cause the CTD we could easily identify the carset that is causing you grief. No-one wants you to quit GTL so try to help us help you.

Could it be the same problem a few people had in P&G a while ago with the square brackets? ( [ and ] )

Other than that or it being a particular car the only other thing I can think of is something overloading/overheating, in which case it would be when a certain number of cars are there. The graphics card is usually the weak point for that.

Right, but how shall I figure out which driver it is ?

I could try recording what happens using 'FRAPS' but that will only show the drivers, that my game is able to load, it will not identify the one, that it conflicts with !
If my game loads say 6 drivers, which of the remaining 6 drivers will be the one causing my mismatch ?

Funny old night this one!  ::)

Getting set to start at the back, as it appeared the Mini times were not being recorded correctly, went to race & I'm on pole!  :o  Good start but Ade was better & he held the lead up until T3 when an Escort shoved me onto the grass. Rejoined nearly last, started working up the field then noticed XD was showing me in last place.  ???

About the 4th lap I just got a wheel on the grass on the long straight & the sometimes odd handling of the 1310 suddenly saw me pirouetting off the track & into the barriers. Rejoined but the car was not handling well in the turns & I went off again. Had enough then & decided to go & watch the IOM TT on the telly instead!

Congrats to the podium. :thumbup1:

Won't be at the next race, as I'm on holiday, so cya all for the next BSCC race.

PS: Looks like I must have dreamed all that as according to the results I didn't even start!  ???

Usually when you enter the game you see the names of drivers already in the game appear then disappear. If there is a car problem, the name of the driver already in-game, who has the car your experiencing trouble with, will flash consistently and sometimes you have to manually shut down to escape the load loop.

From what your saying it appears that a certain number of drivers load then you get a CTD without warning. Is this what happens?

Did you get your cars from this site or from other places?

Yes, that is exactly what happens.

I got all the addon-cars from the UK GTL web-site.

I  could try a total reinstallation of GTL, even though I don't see how it could help  :-\

From studying the replay I surmise that the correct results are

1 Mike Miller
2 Ade
3 Goldtop
4 Cinderby
5 Legzy
6 Tibernius
7 Syd Drake
8 Phspok
9 Veldhoven
10 WT
11 Eifelblitz
12 Bill Thomas
13 Sandor
14 Geoffers

Anyone disagree with that order?

As your problem has occured more than once and it's been identical each time, a re-install would be a strong first step to solving this, even if it's a pain to do.

seems to be ok, but don't know who was behind me. Maybe Sandor was ahead of Bill.

During practice I had strange experiences: Skins of some guys logging in to the game after myself
didn't appear (for example: I was in the pits when Tony rejoined the game next to me after changing
the car from the A110 to the Volvo and his car was only white. And there was the same phenomenon concerning PHSpok's Escort (yellow) and another A 110 which appeared simply orange).

Assume that server had a flu too. ;)

:) I think the problem with Geoffers mini was that it was added to the event mid practice. The best thing would have been to reboot the server and start again.

I think we should rerun this race due to lack of results  >:D !!!! But then again I was the one that ran out of fuel.  ;D If we did a rerun I think the Mini would be the choice car, that 1310 is far to fast, I believe they got the physics wrong on this car it was not that fast in real life. I built one in my motor sport days and it was good for 110 mph tops I don't think it would beat the Escort in real life at least not on the straights.  ;D

I was in a white VOlvo not an escort. Bill's TR4 was white to me, maybe it was anyway?
all other cars looked correct. I ran Volvo not out of self harm syndrome
but because I was a second faster in it than the Escort. Plainly I was
missing something with my escort setup or driving....
good fun al the same, was surprised to be passed on the straight by
escorts which I had thought to be slower.
WIll miss all races next week due to being stuck down in London.

Yes I was driving the White TR4 No. 44.  Apologies to Syd, I wasn't trying a Matt Neal maneuver, you surprised me when you braked earlier than I anticipated and I couldn't avoid you.  Sorry for ruining your race.
Re Sandour, my Xd showed him at -1lap and then a time, also my pit board showed somebody behind me.  Strange, I'm happy to be given last runner, I race for fun and take it one race at a time.

Hmm, yes I do seem to use the unwieldy choices I suppose..
Mostly i think it's just a desire to run "something else"
I can't drive the 1310 min, it's like herding cats the way
it wanders all over the track. Escort was nice, as was
the TR4. 275 was quick for me  but lumbered rather
in the corners. I like the P1800s, and I used to work
for guy who had one, so is a bit of nostalgia.
I am not usually up for a win with the talent in here
so I tend to drive whatever will give me a good race
against my teamie Phil, or whatever is fairly fast
and fun.

I actually quite liked driving the Volvo and got more used to it, the longer the race went on. Although I had two regrettable contacts early on. My excuse is that I hadn't realised from cockpit view, quite how long the bonnet was! So I apologise to the two victims who received a nurfing from me.

Following that I had a quiet race at the back but did get some excellent battles with Eifelblitz which was the best part of the night for me.

I'll be fixing the results either tonight or tomorrow.

:) This event initially looked like a potential win for me as I was getting 1.52's when practising off line, but I could not manage it in quali after changing the diff and softening the rear springs for a more comfortable set up but not ultimately fast. ;) Started in P4 after Geoffers popped up in pole?  ???  Got a good start with Mike bogging down off the line and took a tight line into T3. Mike did ask post race "what happened at the start Mark" and on watching the replay we touched but I had no where to go as I was half a car length up the inside.  :-\ As we excited T3 I kept a tight line but this time Mike I'm afraid you clearly turned in on m,e bounced off, and exited stage right. Its often difficult to gauge where people are when racing close side by side so I would not blame anyone personally I remember Geoffers was on the outside but he does not even show in the replay. Any way no hard feelings I hope.  :)

I then had some nice close racing with Ade catching and passing him, a rare occurrence for me, but very gratifying.  ;D Mike caught us both around 2/3rds distance but when he tried to pass me at T6 left we both out braked ourselves but I just managed to hold on to my Esc and escape Mikes clutches as he spun out.  ;D Mike was fast though and I new it was just a matter of time before he reappeared in my mirrors and sure enough some laps later he attacked again a T6 but this time made it stick. With 2 laps to go the fuel light comes on even though I put 28 laps worth in, I seem to recall Mike mentioning some thing about putting 30 laps worth in during practise and this now came back to haunt me, so  pitted on 25 put a squirt of fuel in and went just in time to see Gold Top go by taking P3................Disaster had struck.  :'(

Congratulations on your podiums Mike, Ade, and Gold Top, particularly Mike whom was fast all race and just would not give on P1 well done mate.

I am not usually up for a win with the talent in here
so I tend to drive whatever will give me a good race
against my teamie Phil, or whatever is fairly fast
and fun.
My Dad used to own a P1800 Eatate. Very nice to look at but handled like a barge.

I hope we'll have replay and usual charts (positions, lap by lap etc.) because I don't know yet what happened during the first lap. Saw a lot of cars crashing, found me in something like 5th position and in the end of lap one I had the feeling of a contact from behind which forced me to a turnaround.
So I found myself again in more common regions of the tableau...

'edit: watched my own replay and found that it was simply my own fault which caused my turnaraound at the end of lap one. Had Sandor in the Mini behind me but listed as first place ?!?'

Had a quiet race afterwards but in the end I had great and funny fights with Tony.
Tried to overtake him once again in lap 24 but forgot worsened condition of tyres and brakes for another turnaround which left Tony ahead for good. After that I realized a very bare level of fuel so I slowed down for reaching the flag.

Wondrously I had to realise that I reached identical best laptimes in practice, quali and race of 1:56,7 each which obviuosly seemed to be my limit.

Ever fun to drive with you, guys.

See you next time.

The Report is based on results found on my desktop. The results seem to match, maybe it can fill some gaps:

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/GTL/MisJun11/)

(..) this is the second time in a row I get CTD's for no apparent reason.

If you also got these problems with a BSCC race than perhaps have a serious look at the add-on Mini's. I believe this is the only add-on which is used in both series?
You should have had a trouble-free run last night until Geoffers entered the game.. Practice Log  (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/GTL/MisJun11/2011_06_09_21_11_02_Practice1.txt) showed that you ran 14 laps, so it doesn't seem to be track related..
Maybe you have also some old version installed or downloaded another pack (for another race series)?

oh, can you also please add the Merc to the list?
Did I forget the Merc? Jeez I'm rubbish at this server starting malarkey. My apologies for that and for also forgetting the Mini. I've had better nights

;D . Not that it would have improved my race but I tend to praccy in the days before the race and tune-down the car so I will not be a hazard to other drivers..
