Pit Stops: You must make a minimum of one pit stop during which you must take on at least 1 litre of fuel and/or change at least two tyres. You cannot take a mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.

Special Notes: The grid procedure for Race 07 events is slightly different from GTL/GTR2. Upon joining the grid, you won't be able to rev your engine until all drivers are present on the grid. Do not attempt to esc back to garage or you will be DQ'd.

XD was giving me issues. I had to delete it to run Evo/Race 07 but, I have not installed it since the XD update.

It should be fine now from what I hear. :)

ooh tasty  8)  Gt1 (pro) class on this track should be mega. Have really enjoyed the GT1 season at RD, the cars are brilliant and its just finished, meaning i am free-er for wednesday racing  :)

just done some laps round here, what a track !!  8)   very tricky to learn and master though, very technical, can see why the F1 boys love it, especially turn 8 multi-apex at high speed  :o  Some tricky bumps to catch you out in some corners, particularly braking hard into bumpy off camber T1. The improved ffb really comes into play here, my eyeballs were shaking !  :P  Looks great too  :)

1:53's with race fuel so far, in the Aston for me.

i hope i can drive this race,
i like istanbul much and GT1 cars are ok too.

Just been having a quick go & these cars are just like our GTR2 'GT1' cars, too fast & lary for my tastes. It is a tough track for them though.

Enjoying this track and car selection. ;D Very challenging.

i did any laps and i think 1.51.xxx are my racelaptimes as long as tyres are good.
it looks like the fuel do hold easy for 40min. and the tyres should be ok too for 40min. (perhaps 22laps).
so i do not know what i should do in pitstop, i do not need to do anything in pitbox, tyres and fuel will be ok,
perhaps i do change tyres? or i do start with less fuel and do any litres in pitbox fuelmake? not sure

GTRevo cars i have always problems with the corners, it looks always, that the car is much slower in corners then in GTR2, more understeer in corners it looks like, but in push push out of corners i have sometimes problems that car will do make suddently spin in low gear, (perhaps snap oversteer is name???? did read this somewhere, but not sure if this is correct name for this)

I must say I prefer Sport class from Pro. Pro class feels overpowered to me and negates some of the fun. On the other hand, Club (?) class feels underpowered / boring to drive unless there's a close fight with someone. :-\

Another update for Race again today and it has stopped XD again. :-X

If anyone can't load the game all of a sudden then delete XD from the Race07 folder. That is what happened to me last time they did this but, it is loading up OK this time, it just gives funny values for tyre wear and temp and brake temp.

How many AI cars do we want? I was thinking of 2 or none if we can do that in the settings (I am still not familiar with this game at all at the moment, sorry).

I am still not sure about how to pit. I found this vid:

but, he is still using computer control in pits and not manual. The official web site for Race roughly says 'WTCC cars dont have pit stops so we dont use them in the game' I am assuming that has now changed for Evo.

When pitting we stop on the arrow, correct? How do we know when we have had pit work done and we can drive off again?

Also, does the game do GTR2 style - the amount you set is the amount it will fill up to in the pit - or does it add what you set to whatever you have already?

Sorry for the noob questions but, I though this game was supposed to be more user friendly to help the console owners and I am failing at basic steps. ;D

It has been great for getting some good deals but, any game that I am really serious about, I really do not want it on steam. Auto updates that you cant ignore and have to be logged into steam, it sucks.

I am absolutely praying that GTR3 and rFactor2 are not steam only. :(

Is Race 07 and GTR Evo available in non steam? I know that Race was for a while at least.

Just booted up my PC, and Steam has updated my game again...tried to connect to the server and says "incompatible version".
Can someone check if their game is saying the same?

Same here. Steam starts to update, then pauses 2/3 in. :( Must be Race related as it updated Civ 5 normaly. >:(

Going for some 24h Web practice instead. :(

Apex was warping all over & I was just thinking about the kind of distance he was warping (about 100-200m at a time) & as I watched him go & stayed wide of him.... SMASH!!!

Lol, indeed. Got steam updated eventually (lordy I hate that thing) and joined up, half remembered track from
some other sim years ago, never tried car, was feeling way round, not able to do the car or the track justice it deserved. ditto on Apex warping, I kept driving to the other side of the track than him to avoid the zooming
orange car, still had it beam through me a couple of times, may have settled down once the internet weather
improved, but he quit. Not sure what happened there Legz, you were a while behind then blamm! maybe I
lifted to avoid the orange one, dunno, car didn't feel much worse after so I carried on for a bit.
Was way off pace,no one to race, lost it into the fence under power, no will to carry on. WIth practice
it looks promising. I just don;t have much time to practice these days.

oh dear bit of a fiasco that event.

I stupidly quit to pit on the startline like you can do in GTR2 not knowing that it would DNF me...dumb-a*s  :wetfish:  :1eye: so didnt get to enjoy any racing here  :'(
Not sure i am seeing much commitment from many to make this work  :-\  Legz and spanner seemed to quit at first opportunity rather than race on?
Apex warped galore then quit or disco'd so that within 2 laps there were only 5 human and 2 ai drivers still racing. Not ideal.
Not sure why there was a pitstop req'd for a 40min race?

Having just enjoyed a brilliant season of races using these GTpro cars i would say you need to give them a few races to get the hang/feel of them before dropping but if the general consensus is you would rather race club or sport levels then okay with that.
Maybe we should also flesh out the grid with more AI drivers? they seemed pretty quick here!

I quit as i didnt have a choice, the car was dead as a dodo after hitting the concreted in tyres!

tbh, i wasn't entirly disapointed it ended early. Wasnt gelling with this combo.

I'd argue that you quit at the 1st opportunity mate, not me ;) :P

When I quit... I'd just totalled another drivers car, ending his race through my own stupidity ::), though it turned out I hit Matt not Spanner, it was too late, Spanner had quit & I thought I'd ended it for him (so quit wishing I'd stayed away), but it was actually Matt I hit & sounds like his car wasn't too bad :o

To be honest mate, I didn't like the track that much & don't like "Gt1" cars (in any sim I've tried), put them together & like Spanner, I wasn't feeling the love. I wouldn't have turned up at all, but thought I'd show some support for a SROUK event.

Still no go. :( Tried creating new Steamblob, switched off Firewall, restarted PC, restarted Steam, selected different server for updating, nothing works. Guess I'm back to Steam Support again. :(

I am also having issues with doing Race 07 results for the first time but, that should be sorted soon.

A few drivers dropped out early and were calling for a restart on TS but, I decided that with the delay in getting the race going that people may have to leave before the race is over if we restarted that late from the originally intended start time.

I enjoyed the track and found the car track combo surprisingly difficult.

Was happy with a successful pit stop this time and took advantage from it as others seemed not to have the same success.

Steam is still not working here. Every game I try to load it just hangs. Including CIV5  >:(
