Welcome to round 2, we now find ourselves back in Blighty at the fabulous GPLEA redition of Snetterton 67, a very fast circuit but with enough technical sections to keep us all on our toes  ;D

Reserve drivers should not join the server(s) until there are only 30 minutes of qualifying left. Please restrict chat to pit messages. Moderating will be by reported incidents only, however the moderators reserve the right to review any incident with a particular emphasis on lap one. The aim is to review the race the following weekend so incident reports should be submitted within five days of the race (ie the following Friday). We're hopeful most incidents can be resolved amicably and recommend a days deep breath with a replay review before posting. A sorry in the forum won't be taken as an automatic admission of guilt by the moderators.
The race will be run on PRO Damage.

NOTE: Please ensure you join the correct server, due to the way we import if you start the race on the wrong server your result will not count.

Reserve drivers should not join the server until there are only 30 minutes of qualifying left so as to give the FULL TIME drivers chance to join, and drivers are not to go out on track until there are 30 minutes of qualifying left as this helps all drivers join the server successfully.

Please restrict chat to pit messages if necessary, and this includes the end of the race, until all running drivers have completed the necessary laps.

I have absolutly no idea bernie - best thing I can think of is to see if you go faster while slipstreaming the AI  :)

Bernie you can check if you have a different program cover for 1965 than you have for 1967 at 1965 championship tracks like Monaco or Mexico. As part of the patch you have the possibility of mod-specific program covers, track graphics, and newspaper photo, as well as enlargement of the maximum of tracks GPL can handle, both in your season file as well as in your replay list.

As a result, if you have the mod team Zandvoort and Mexico track updates installed, you will get different track graphics depending on the mod you are driving the track with.

Grrr, was a really good race - then Clive lost it and collected me in the process  :(

I'm off to write some new rules with severe penalties for racing incidents  ;)

I thought I had totalled my car and collected you in the process, but when i tried reverse it worked and all the wheels were still attached I found I was able to drive away. I did feel a little guilty about it

Screen freeze after a couple of laps  :(
I drove at Snett67 a lot of times without any problem, indeed at any track, but recently screen freeze are too frequent.
The hardware has been the same for years, I suspect about RasterD3D_V2 since I had to install it to support the new 23" LCD at 1980x1020 in September. Before I had been running 1280x1024 on a 19" CRT.

I suspect I'm going to have some work this time - there's an L1 incident and the history graph suggests contact at various points later in the race.....
To give you all advance warning, I'll be at the Nurburgring from next weds through to the following monday so moderation may take a while  :)

screen freeze on practise, no problems in race until i crashed on last bend behind Tim Muttram , car roll over and couldnt continue.

Finishing 2nd in a Pro race for a Driver of my speed is something to cherish, especially as i was not the fastest on the grid by some distance.

I think i was 8th or 9th by the first corner but managed to fight my way back up via a little skill, and with the help of a couple of Disco's ahead too it must be said.

I was pleased with this one as I really had to work at it. I think Evil was the only pass i felt guilty about as my BT11 easily passed him down the straight on power rather than skill, though it took a few laps to get near him to make the pass a possibility. Other than that i was fighting with the odd BRM and Honda i seem to remember for some of the race so no real car power advantage

Nothing really happened in the last 12+ Laps though i wasn't sure if i could finish as the set up i'd chosen involved high rev's and a very 'lively' diff setting which wasn't the best for a steady run to the finish.

I still wish the races were shorter, but hey, can't complain.

OK for me. Just had a look - the 50% rule is pretty brutal, isn't it!

For me, a race to forget... :-[

On qualy, I managed to get an 1:28,7, which gave me a surprising pole-position. But, remaining 10 minutes to the end of the session, I had a freeze. I was able to return to the server in time, but was afraid to suffer something similar again on race.

I made a terrible start, letting the revs of the Honda decrease a lot when the green flag dropped. Lost 3 places and confused some drivers who were behind me. I just have to say sorry about that :(

After the first turns, I was behind Evil and tried to pass him at the long straight. Dived inside into the hairpin, but unfortunately touched Hristo's car, sending him off track. I was really afraid of getting him out of the race. Sorry, H. It was totally my fault and I accord with any type of punishment for me. I almost ruined your race. :(

After this terrible 1st lap, I tried to keep the focus into the remaining laps, but it's very hard when you make a huge mistake like that. You start to think a million things and don't concentrate very well. Trying to chase Natan for the lead, I approached very fast at the first turn. To avoid another contact, I put my car to the outside, went off to the grass and had a spin, losing some places and returning 6th.

Some laps later, I reached a group of 4 cars that were fightinh for the 3rd place. After a short, but funny battle with Evil, my game had another frozen screen at the straight after the hairpin. And it was the end of the race for me.

I'd like to congratulate Hristo for the victory and the rest of the podium. :) And to say again sorry for everybody I disturbed yesterday. Certainly was an Andrea De Cesaris' day for me, but I promise that things will be better next race ;D

Not had a chance to look at the replay yet but sorry Bernie for ending what should have been a hard fought race long scrap between us. I tried to pass down the inside but it cost us both. On a general point, I thought the full moderation of lap one, regardless of driver reports across the various championships, would have curbed some of the more enthusiastic late breaking into the early corners especially when mayhem can be seen ahead. On the evidence of this race and others so far this season this does not seem to be the case. Its all part of racing I suppose so roll on the next race so we can try again. Last but not least congrats to the podium and all who scored points and/or finshed.

Had a good start .All going well until my tyres start burning and loose grip.
A Few mistakes loose places and finely my engine blew up 20 laps to go!! :-[

Terrible start, due to that my grid position was just behind Raoni, and very shaky first laps.  I even put in reverse gear at the hairpin once and spun of cause. But then things begun to improve and one after the other either froze or crashed so I went from 9Th to 4Th and with some 10 laps to go I was chasing Evil, closing about 1 sec a lap but the race was a bit too short, so I finished 4Th.

Anyway the result was OK but the way it happend was not. I have to improve the first part of races.
