(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Got to love that blind, down hill right hander. Fly over the crest and hope that your line is right.

It's borderline dangerous/nutty, but that is why I like it. I was practicing with a friend from R2P the other day. I ran a 1:39.0 on a full tank. I was giddy with laughter and fear all at the same time..

That's good news!

It means you don't have to spend ages looking for the one with the sticky tyres or extra 50bhp.  ::)

My best is a 1:39.5 on low fuel but I am absolutely certain that not all my race laps will of a similar standard.

I am banished down to London this week, and won't have net access at race time
Picnic has kindly agreed to do server duties, but due to his other commitments
needs to start the server a little early at 19:15.

Please could someone join the server as soon as it's up
to make sure the clock starts appropriately?
Many Thanks, Matt.

Don't worry Tony, when it comes to having a hard time doing this combo, you're not alone. At several points on this track the 'vette behaves VERY odd and unnatural. Simulation-wize this combo is no good IMHO, but it sure is a challenge . . . . .  and a fun one at that !

Please turn up and have some duels with me at the back of the field  ;D

What's wrong with the car?

It has some "get up and go" and you can point it where you want to go.  What more can you ask for?

Title: Re: UKPnG Season 6 Sprints - Jops Siffert - Jun 16

Let me quote my fellow countryman Tom Kristensen: "If your in control with yourself and the car, that's fine ...... but then you're just not fast enough" ;D.

When I'm on the edge here, I can manage a 1.38.400, but I'm sure a better driver can cut appr. 2 secs more  :P

My goal for tonights race is to stay clear of the 'picnic spots on the track.

CU tonight

I fear I'll have to miss this one, cause I'm just doing a bakup of my HD after a trojan attack
yesterday.
Deleted the virus but I'm not quite sure whether I have to make a new install of my machine.

If the backup is finished in time I join the meeting, but had no time for practicing.

He seemed to be still in great condition! Considering that he's driving a tractor... really not bad for the "oldie Michael"  ;D

I think I should change the face on my avatar... after that "talented" move Massa would fit better in it  ;)

Bill,

The one from MegaUpload works for me ?

The foldername in location should be jops , where the nogrip version made a folder with the name 09_Jops_Siffert.

Did you re-install the right one and restarted P&G ?

If you installed both the versions, you would probably need to delete the wrong one, or it could cause you a conflict when loading the track... Sorry for the late answer :(
I hope you will solve this problem in time for the race...

Now I have to go.

Cu soon :)

The server dropped me from the track during qualifying. I think. I only noticed it when q ended, I went to pits, and everyone else was frozen somewhere on the track, but by that time it was too late for me to rejoin, the race had already started.

Engine gave up on me after 7 laps....
Very difficult track/car combo to learn within 45 minutes, but that is my own fault.

I'm afraid not many people are gonna finish this race

Not a race to remember from my point of view  :-[   I had the pace, but couldn't keep my focus. I ended up ramming a fence which killed the engine. Arghh.... my sole aim was to get to the finish line  ::)
The best part of the race was watching Tonys car go up in flames ...... very spectacular exit Tony  :thumbup2:

What a stupid track choice..... I loved it! Proper challenge  ;D

Shame I span early in my chase with Miguel, otherwise I'd been hoping to slowly claw my way back upto him to challenge for 2nd  :(

Got a race here in the GPL GT's in about a month, think I'll make sure I have the teams P4.....

Grats to Marco Miguel and Tim.

You were all a bit of a disappointment to me as I was banking on your getting up close and personal and knocking each other off!

So much for my strategy!

Can someone explain to me how the team points are calculated?  It only seems to count the first member of a team and if that is the case, what's the point of having a team?

:o Disaster strikes again......Managed to get up to P3 off the start took it fairly steady on the first lap. Came out of T last and just approaching the fast left onto the main straight my PC screen blacked out.  :-\  when it came on again I was ploughing through the trucks at the back of the paddock. Turned around and drove all the way back to the track only to be DQ'ed I can only presume it was for going in the wrong direction even though I was not actually on track.  :-\

This is the first time this has happened to me in P&G has any one else suffered this problem or is it a symptom of impending graphics card failure?  :-[

PS Strangely as I was writing this post the damn thing rebooted all by its self claiming it had to do important Win7 up dates.  :-X It usually asks permission to do this but I guess Bill Gates has decided his opperating system is more important than the people that use it. It may have been trying to do this last night because when I shut the thing down it was still doing 14 up dates an hour later....Very strange. ::)

Have an excuse/reason.  Not long back from having meal and drinks with youngest Grandson (18th birthday the previous day) and his elder brother up, Tony's neck of the woods - off J16 of M4.  There's a large Pub with nice big carpark, where they do very nice meals, which is about half way between High Wycombe and here.

I think it's on the road to Wotten Bassett, was it called the Winston Churchill? or perhaps the Sally Pussey

If you click here: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=313&theme=4&scoring=601#ch601

You'll see the team champ config & notice: At each event, best 1 scores count

We normally have this set to 2 drivers.

Mike, did you mean to have this as the first 2 drivers like normal or just 1 driver per team scoring? If it's wrong, I can help you fix it if you need help, let me know.

I'd like to do this track again sometime but use a car that can belt around corners. Perhaps the Elan or the Alpine or maybe a Cortina -v- Alfa match or E-types.

Last time I raced here I had an Escort and this was a quick track  8)

Nice try but I had already done my own hand calc, although I hadn't expected disqualified drivers to get points.  How come you haven't given a slack handful to Ade as well?

Thanks for the update btw and where were you hiding on Thursday?

LMFAO
Ade knows very well that if he comes over to team Oldie I'll furnish him with as many points as he wants, but till then he'll have to continue slumming it with the rest of the Kerb Krawlers! ;)
Well, either that or he needs to complete a lap. Till you complete a lap, the automated scoring does not give you any points. It's been like that forever.
