The download has two track option, one is TIAida and the other is TIAida 05. Which one are we using?

They are not going to divulge that at this early date! ::)

I like the TR4, it handles very agile and seems well-balanced . . . . . which is actually rather strange!

I've tried a TR5 street version IRL, and if I remeber it right, it handled like sh..
Maybe the TR4 was handling better ? ..... nah probably not. I keep forgetting that P&G is but a game  ;D ;D

The sound of the Healey makes it very tempting, but I find the Tr4  more fun to drive. I sure hope the 'King of the Mini's the honorable Mr. ADE will kick some a.. in the 1275  ;)

I think I'll make this one too as I already know this track from one of my rare appearances at the MuscleCarLeague over an GamersCrib.
Don't know which car yet.

Was a while ago when we tested here, and I can't remember which version we used sorry.
I'll ask Mike to confirm what he settled on.

I'm working in Leeds this week from Weds, so will likely be at home for this and maybe the F1 '88 as well.
Not tried any of the cars or I can't remember what I did in them, I expect TR4 will be the easy option
though a well driven mini may be competitive, and Ade will be torn between his two faves - Mini and Squealy

Times anyone?

2.03,4 in the Healey (online) and 1.57,2 in the TR4 (offline).

But I cannot use any TR4 ( which should be the car of choice) online.
Maybe I made some changes years ago but even after checking the filenames
in the car-file I cannot enter the server with the TR4.
Or maybe I deleted the original skins long time ago and added some of the skins
released at Nogrip later on - I really don't know. ???

Is there maybe any download of the TR4-mod for P&G available?

Here we go again .......  mismatch problems with the TR4   >:

The other day, I could join the server in a TR4 with no problems. Thought everything was fine .... but nope  .... not really.

I just started a dedicated host game, and I was booted from my own game ! I had no problem joining in the mini or the Healey.
Tried 5-6 times mreo and got in  ???

Damned, I've done may 50 laps in the TR4, and may not be able to join in it ..... argh .... guess I have to pick another car in reserve.

WHEN WILL THE NEXT P&G BE RELEASED ?

First - thanks again Tony - didn't relized that there are only two skins of the TR4 in P&G.

Could not test the TR4 online cause server's not running this evening,
but had similar impressions yesterday like Stig today.
Was called for mismatch or cheating when trying to join server with the TR4.

Try again tomorrow.

The TR4 is fun to drive at this track - hope that I can make it on thursday.

I re-started the server after tonight's GTL race. Maybe that's fixed it?

I'll see if I can join with a TR4.

EDIT: Yes joined OK with either TR4.

You're amazingly fast!!!

Improved to 1.56.5 with the TR4 which will be my first choice for sure.

Thank you Tony for restarting the server. Testing the TR4 online tonight.

Had a few laps offline. Never really got on with any of these cars, Healey wants to plough straight on at corners whereas the TR4 just wants to spin around them. Haven't tried the Mini yet but I'll probably go with that.

1:54s in the TR4 when I do manage to complete a lap.

Edit: 1:52.7xx race setup in the mini (offline).

Great race guys, especially the first 4 laps. For once, I managed to stay clear of the turmoil, and when Fulvia took a spin I was suddenly in 3rd position.

Unfortunately I got caught up in traffic, and with just 3 laps to go. Manteo, who was at that point 2 sec+ behind me slipped by, as I had to brake to for Miguel Ratton.
Tried to keep up with Manteo, we had some close racing, but eventually he pulled away 'stealing' my first podium  ;)

Made up some positions with a good start & others misfortune. Had some great laps with Geoffers, then tagged on the back of a group. Then some more good laps with Geoffers, then some good fun with Ade too. Finished off with another period of racing Geoffers (& Ade ), before spinning on the last corner & handing 11th back to Geoffers :'(

I think that was a really nice set of cars (as did the solid attendance it seems), that I'd like to see used again soon please 8)
I imagine that at most tracks you could throw the Elite in that mix too, to offer a more "normal" car choice option as well.

I had a contact with someone going into T1, was pushed into a path of another car, and was in 14th place after T1. I made my way through the field and a few laps later I was back in 8th place. I could see the three cars in front of me, I could maintain the gap at about 3-4 seconds, but I couldn't catch up to them. At some point Giuseppe  came upon me, and got by after a couple of laps of fighting. He did manage to jump the gap and catch up to the cars in front. With about two or three laps to go there was contact, and I passed Giuseppe and Goldtop while they were recovering. In the end I have to be satisfied with 6th place. It didn't look like it after T1 L1.
My main problem was that second to last turn, the fast right hander. With Johns TT lap offline I was able to do 1.52.7, but without his line to point the way I was mostly missing it in the race, and scrubbing too much speed to avoid going wide and off the track.
Congrats John and Clive, 1-2 for SBRC, and a team title. Driver title is also ours, just to see who can get it between John and Clive. :)

The thing is Clive, the Elite in PnG2.1 should be about on the pace & it's an easier drive. Some drivers some weeks need to have that kind of option. The Mini / TR4 / Healey are all tricky drives & all for very different reasons.

Good fun tonight and great racing throughout, but ultimately the mini was the wrong choice here. The TR4s had the grunt to get away on the straights and were always in the wrong place (for me) to take advantage of the mini's better handling in the corners.

I had a race long battle with Matt which was great fun, but whatever line I took I found myself having to back off mid corner which lost me time and allowed others to close on us. I'd just got the hang of avoiding Matt when I was caught and passed by Giuseppe. Unfortunately as we went through T1 his slightly different line/style caught me out and I just clipped his rear spinning him off  :-[  Sorry Giuseppe.

I just could not get that TR4 to go as fast as all the other guys. So may race was incident free and frankly a little dull. One I'll gloss over I think. Till next time then.

Wohoo, go team, etc  :)

Quite an uneventful race for me but a great team result. I've got to thank Stig for his setup, it's the second race in a row that I've used one of his ones and been faster for it :thumbup1:

Clive was impressively quick, Syd had a good result considering lap 1 and I was watching XD showing Stig's progress in the race and willing him on to a podium finish - shame, better luck next time

Do not worry, and with different cars in the race can happen to touch each other. However I really enjoyed myself, it was a pleasure to race with you  :)

LOL
You will have to slow down a bit if you are looking for “eventful” John.

Like you, I was also watching Stig and Syd on XD but had to give myself a telling off after a near disaster due to lack of concentration.

I tried to write this report last night but realised that there was such a lot going on in the first two laps that I needed to watch the replay again to get everything in order.

I used the timer instead of the lights because when I joined the grid they were already showing green.  I made a decent start and followed John into T1.  Behind me, Giuseppe had a small overlap to my rear wing and behind him, I think it was Stig who had a similar overlap to him.  The result, as everything got tighter on corner entry, was that Giuseppe was sent towards the inside wall but he recovered quickly and was back behind me as we approached the hairpin.

I was seriously intent on not clouting John at the hairpin and the following corners so Guiseppe and Manteos closed up on me through the hairpin and the following two lefthanders.  At the next left hander Giuseppe ran into the back of me and pushed me wide, then nipped up the inside.  He then took a wide line into the following right hander and I stuffed my car down the inside(guess he was letting me back through).  As we exchanged hub caps and door handles, Manteos sneaked through on the inside of both of us.

Manteos and I headed for the two fast rights at the end of the lap side-by-side and I had to give him best.  So Manteos crossed the line in 2nd spot with me 3rd and Giuseppe 4th.

EDIT!  Just remembered that Manteos ran wide at T2 on lap two and as a result we went three abreast through Moss and sorted ourselves out at the right hander onto the back straight.

I didn't seem to get any tow to speak of on the back straight and into the hairpin Giuseppe launched his TR4 up the inside of mine but ran wide onto the grass and I was able to regain 3rd, although there was a fair bit of pain exchanged at the first left hander as the bloke in 5th was getting in on the act as well!

All was calm in the next two lefts but for some reason Giuseppe spun, without any help, at the first right.

That left me to concentrate on Manteos.

I closed over the next few laps and then, after I had looked at a couple of gaps and decided that discretion was the better part of valour, he put a wheel on the outside curb at T1 and spun.

That left me in the clear and I spent the rest of the race with my chin on the tank and a watchful eye on the pack behind to see that nothing fast and Italian had emerged.

Congratulations to John and SBRC as a whole.  I would have loved to see Stig lock out the podium for us.  A good recovery drive from Syd too.

We had the first four on the grid after practice, which was testament to the value of having John's TT lap to work with during practice.

Don't know how you do a virtual on-line party but we are certainly due one.
  ;D

Amazing race for me this time.

As ever in the last period, I had no time for training, evenmore I didn't know this track. The TR4 has no traction in low gears, and I tried even the longer final ratio during the qualif... but I was able to conquer only the 6th pos :-\.

At the first lap, I took advantege of the fight between Clive and Giuseppe, and I managed to pass both the drivers before the finish line... but Clive was surely faster than me in the first half of the race. I tried to push, but I had some issues with the lines and especially in choosing the right gears for the mixed slow part of the track. In a couple of laps Clive was again at my back, and I was listening the sound of his engine just to understand that he was using the 3rd gear while I used the 2nd in the slow corners... it's obvious that Clive was absolutely right in his choice ;).
Unfortunately at the 4th lap I was under pressure, and I went just a bit wide at the first corner, being unable to avoid the spin, losing 10 seconds and 4 positions.. but the race was still long, and I tried to do the best till the checkered flag.
I was really slow til the tenth lap, in which I finally started to follow Clive's "suggestion" about the right gear to use, and I was unable to replace the gap with GT, Matt and Stig.
Finally by the 11th lap, I've done 5 or 6 laps in row on the 53's pace, replacing the gap fastly and passing GT on the straight, and Matt few corners later. In the meantime Stig was losing a few tenths every lap, but I was more than 3 seconds behind him. I was recovering Stig, but it was too late I guess to pass him without some "help"... The help arrived when Stig found Miguel to lap in the middle of the last corner, and I saw his car dancing on the curb losing speed. I passed him pulling the brake at the first corner in which we were 3 cars side by side, but I was succesfull in this manouvre.

Grats to John for the great drive even this time, and to Clive who completed the SBRC double. I'm pretty happy for my result considering I didn't gave up after the spin, believing in the comeback til the checkered flag and conquering a good third place after all... I just need more training... qualif session is not enough to learn a track  :wheelchair: :wheelchair:

Cu :)
