Chevron B16 Download this (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3358.msg54518#post_chevron_b16) Note: This is a revised version which has improved sound and some other improvements. Also the Mazda powered car has been removed.

Drivers are reminded that the maximum number of drives in any group is five.

Time of Day Setting: 16:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk WPC
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=318&theme=5)

Special Notes: Some of the cars have a "Modern Compound" tyre choice. Can I ask that all drivers do not use these tyres please.

Pitted as the car felt awfull. Then found out that everything was OK  :o

Quit in disgust  >:(

Also sound was playing up, almost quiet down the start finish straight then picked up around the circuit, most strange.

Sorry folks, wife brought me phone, cousin rang with news of bereavement.  By the time I'd taken call I knew race would have started, so I rang my sister to tell her sad news.

what a race, knackered, soaked with sweat, hands cramped from gripping the wheel too tight, but very, very pleased to have done it

Really great result for Team GTLDK again  :thumbup2:

Practice:
The choice was made even before the start, no doubt...512s. Unfortunately, it was a harder task than expected, my setup from Montreal was useless & of the innumerable settings I tried, never found a good setup for Spa  >:(

Qual:
Tested still in qual & drove my pole with race setup for 25 laps. (Vintage tyres)

Race:
Perfect start again - almost a replay from Oulton - I let NRJ go by, but on lap 3 or 4 do NRJ finish show...did you calculated wrong with laps ? ;D None 1-2 victory for our team today, but Henry showed style so I was not alone on the podium...& KS drove good points home  :D

Thx & hope we meet next time at Silverstone  ;)

WoW I forgot, 3 races with G25...3 victories  :o

So sorry to hear that news Bill. Death is always apart of life but it's never easy to knock on wood for someone you are related too. I hope things go as well as they can for your family Bill...

Thanks for your condolences folks.  Yes Navin death is a part of life and when my generation, in our family, are mostly in their 70s it is to be expected.  I guess we've been lucky up to now but death comes to us all eventually.

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/GTL/SpaOct11/)

Bill, sorry to hear you had to receive bad news.

Race was a struggle. After the sweet handling Ferrari from Celtic, the Marta seemed to bounce all over the place.
Softening the springs helped somewhat but handling was still nervous. Any setup tips are welcome  :-[

Decided to race on as a gentleman driver and focused on keeping the rather noisy Marta on the track whilst being outpaced hugely.
60 minutes in this car is hard but fun  :)

edit: did I type Celtic? I meant Zeltweg

Horrible race for me - btw - was it really a race which I've done?

One good lap in qualification (2:34 - a time I by far wasn't able to match during the race)

Good start, then dropped behind to last place, had a nice battle with Alex for
two or three laps  - the 512 was much faster on the straight but I had considerable
handling problems - but then I drove more and more alongside of the track.
Pitted two or three times in order to repair damages and change tyres but
nothing changed. At the end of this torture I did not see Pelle arriving when I came
back on track after another ride outside, so we crashed - but fortunately he obviously had
no severe damages so he could go on to win.  ::) Sorry again, Pelle!

Seems that I cannot handle these 5l beasts.

@ Pelle: yeah - points for me but not for GTLDK cause only the two best placed
count for the team  :(

Yeah, that was fun  :thumbup1:
On the straights I was a sitting duck but the corners looked really hard work in the Porsche  :o

A little true, but whatever...the point you make, they do not go to another Team  8)
