Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Sounds good to me, but would be nice to hear the thoughts of a few others maybe? (I don't want us to switch to more of a sprint length race if it's going to put people off type thing :))

I think 40 mins is fine and I like the idea of using the same track for different series on consecutive GTL races.  I find learning new tracks takes longer now but visiting tracks I've used before much easier to pick up again.  Cadwell Park, even though it was the first time on PnG, was a case in point as we've raced the mini and other cars there in GTL.  One interesting thing I found, don't know if anyone else picked it up, but exiting that right hander in the dip when you crest the rise I could take flat out in PnG but with GTL there seemed to be a bump of something that knocked me right causing a lift to recover the car. So I invariably found it easier and faster to lift into the crest to avoid problem.

Just finished a full race length practise and this circuit is fantastic with these cars going flat out. Probably wouldn't recommend the Mustang tho, but it's very close between the Alfa and the Ade-ina.

Okay, your version of Daylight saving time. heh. Anyways, I see the server is up, gave it a try and all seems well. I just hope my shifter parts arrive by than (on their way from Texas.) as I HATE flappy paddles! I never even had them assigned until now! But couldn't NOT play GTL!! haha.

Sorry folks won't be able to make this race.  What with visitors (like a guest house here  ::) ), our hols in Guernsey and a couple of multi-day booked trips I don't think I'll be able to race until late Sept - unless all the variables are OK on the day. ;D

Were currently experiencing server troubles (beyond our control) so at the moment the Monday night race may be cancelled  :'( I'll report here as soon as I know more.

No, I think everyone passed by OK. I dropped out several laps later. I hate being the only person on the track  :(

After a week without any problems I got the dreaded 'connection lost' tonight.

Had a good battle with Ade up until I spun at the chicane & a lap later the disco!  :cursing: :cursing:

That was fun. lap down but fun! I hope I didn't bugger Bill up at the beginning, went to move off and looked and he was behind me. Oops! Interesting thing with Tony, heh. I was over 19 second behind him and he suddenly appeared in FRONT of me! Did you fall off the bridge Tony?

We had a bit of a clue there were problems after a few laps, the XD timing went screwy for all three of us on TS.

Was having some good race long fun with both the boys from the 'Pink Club' (Matt n Phil). 8)

Right after Tony left it all zero'd out...hmmm........ ;D :D

It must be the Altbierbude side of things that are flakey?

We mentioned that on TS Tony , I got disconnected in practice and Legzy in the race and we both got dumped off TeamSpeak as well, so I don't think its the bude?

What a treat of a track ;D Some tracks just seem to be the right one for a given driving style and this one and myself get along like Peaches and Cream. That said, like others I always have issue's with XD at this track. Works for a few laps and always falls off ??? Congrats to Ade for another great performance in the Cortina. You were awesome quick entering the back straight :o. Also grats to Phil for a solid podium spot. Was great to be back into the little cars again ;D. Cheers

Sorry folks I was just too tired to concentrate and read the braking markers early enough.  :yawn: :sleep1: Good news, friends from Cornwall cancelled visit this morning so hopefull will be bright eyed and bushy tailed for Thursday's race - on a track I've raced on before.  8) :rockon:

No practice before the event other than in the Mustang for a spot of masochism
Teamy Phil came with the Pseudo Alfa so I went home and got mine out of the garage
Gradually got the lap together and had some great fun with Phil and Legzy swapping
places as one or the other made an error, I managed to get up front after Phil went
rallycrossing and Legzy went wide somewhere, then built up a small gap only to
lose concentration wondering why the counters had all gone to zero and bounced off
the kerb at 130R (is the the last left before the final chicane?) and the car went skywards
and somersaulted end over end. got5 back on track a bit dizzy and set about trying to
catch the battling Phil/Legzy duo only to hit the same kerb again, poddled round in Phil's
wake up to the end after Legz discoed.

Sorry for the tap on the first lap Matt. I have to stop doing that to people  :(.

After that I just watched the cars in front of me increase their lead and the folks behind me either fall away or leave. Then I to had a disco. Such a shame as I would of quite happily gone the distance.

Next time at Den's place. Better track for the Mustang's?
