Get set for some random races

Macau anyone? :P

i hate macau..hope the choices are better than that!  :-X

to be honest i just dont see the point in running constant random or fun races. You are never going to get numbers up with races that ultimately dont count for anything. Even in the heady days of big grids here, fun races were always poor turnouts. Mini leagues and series are far better, people find them more engaging and competitive and gives you goals/rivals to compete with.

Cheery as ever ::)

It actually gives me time to sort out the next season, that why!

Let's pick tracks that enable enjoyable racing - the ones we used were fine. :) Also, other classes besides BTCC?

Caterhams/MINIs at Oulton anyone? ;D

Personally, I wouldn't mind a sort of 4-race mini championship with either of the above cars (and I'd be happy to set one up if required as well). But I'll be there whatever the races are. :)

Fun races can also be used to measure support for ideas not yet published  ;)

yeah sorry, didnt mean to sound negative when your trying to set something up  :-[ Your efforts are appreciated  :-*  Its just so frustrating on here lately with small grids on all platforms, and as i said, fun races have never historically done well numbers wise and im a bit worried random choices will just grab a handful of drivers each time.  :-\
Its a shame the TC series ended when it did as we had just started to see the odd new face turn up and try it out.

Will watch this space.

....How about Zondas & Matech GT's at Spa?  8)

radicals, and wtcc extreme cars are brilliant just need to find tracks to suit!

Tried the Zonda, bit tricky lol

ive only tried the zonda at Brands and it felt fantastic there, mighty fast, so imagine its even better on tracks that it can stretch its legs on.

Tbh i havent tried about 2/3rds of the cars available in race07/Evo !  Lots of untapped potential for good racing perhaps.

Bring it on  :)

I'd be up for some of this when I'm available.

I'd like to start the Retro expansion trial with a single spec series featuring all of the cars, one make per race. However the choice for day is restricted. GTL/P&G  have Monday and Thursday fully booked until year end. Friday's and Saturday's are unpopular which leaves Tuesday or Wednesday (I'll rule out Sunday now cos I can't do them  :P).
GT's F1 series is on Tuesday so Wednesday seems the only night available.
That's a MARA night so I'm dubious about whether it's worth the effort  ???

I'm reading this thread but I can't feel any real driving experience being provided. So far I don't see any massive enthusiasm even for fun race(s).

Good man, you're gonna like it. Finally a Mini that I can drive and it drives like I remembered when I was a teenager. Drove a Mini 1000 and a 1275 GT.  :)

Currently trying out some btcc tracks, croft & mondello.

Also trying to find a track to suit a particular car, one thats not too tight but is of a reasonable length.

welcome Gardo  :)  Slowly but surely we can build some decent grids here using the TC's at least it would seem, if we keep the momentum up. They appear to be the most popular class across the net.

Real men prefer GT cars  ;)
