This version is a little long for the GT1s but, it the version that I hope to use in the season 15 championship.

This is the newly released VLM edition of Sebring and it has been very well made indeed. It looks like 2008 spec to me.

Race length now increased to 20 laps, 1st post updated. I was really, really slow the first few times I ran this track but, now I realise that it is not as long as I first thought.

1 pit stop is now required. We have to test the track properly so can everyone please make a pit stop for at least 1L of fuel OR at least 2 tyres even though you will not need it.

I seem to be in the 1.58s - 1.59s at the moment with the Viper.

Well I'm into the mid 56s now, but suspect that's old news.

I'm still taking a different approach and line every time through that last turn  :-\

BTW I noticed that both the F1 server and this one were running last night. Is it ok for us to do this as it will help with available practice time for both series?

I love this track! I've just finished some training here, and I was in a mid 55 pace with medium tyres and race fuel in the 550 Maranello.

I've to make an observation, don't take it as a criticism. Why in a 40 mins race we have to do a mandatory pit stop? It's a Super Sprint race!

Hope to be able to join this race tomorrow. Cu :)

To give the track a full test before using it in a championship race. This is possibly an over precaution but, better safe than sorry. :)

Thinking of trying to join in for this one...very uncompetetive though due to lack of practice...but main problem is I cant find my online serial no. Still on my original GTR 2 disk but unfortunately the case was lost long ago....and I assume (coz I cant remember) thats where it would be.   hmmm :-\

That was me last night, noticed it wasnt running and started it up. Err how is it any different to running PnG and GTR2 not to mention the F1 servers at the same time? Its just another instance of the same ded. server.

Enjoyed this track last night, as good as the iR one for definate. Its got more realistic textures for me. Hard not to take the C6R for this race but only just got to the 57's. Definately struggling in some corners especially the RHer umm.. around half way round after the faster chicane ::)

You have just reinstalled then? No other installs of GTR2 with different mods on your PC at the moment?

I am not sure what you could do about that if not. :-\

You may be able to do it by looking in the Win registry if the disk has not been wiped since GTR2 was last on there.

I have done that with another game before my self but, I suspect GTR2 does not make such an entry in the reg files. Not sure where to look though but, I can investigate if you are still stuck later Bob.

Iam doing 2:03s at the moment with race fuel. sure I can get that down some, but I can;t see 56's on my horizon.
I can lurk at the back of the field with my team boss for the 1st time in centuries  ;D

BTW the cut tracks are evil on this version. It's not just staying  on the grey bit , it's staying outside the faint white lines
on the grey bit. Particularly before and after pit straight. Thought it was just buggy at first, but actually it
is if you cross inside the white lines onto and out of the pit straight.

Been having intermittent black screens for a while in 2d but now I'm getting them in3d followed by those fuzzy speckles and lines.

- Got an uncommon cheater :nono: messages both on praccy and "real" event.
- Got low FPS with this track on several sections even with no other car present on server, not any worse through the race - same.
- Got a cutting warning through the last corner though I'm sure I was on track with more than half of the car. Don't know for other corners.

Race was ok-ish. Couldn't get close to Lazlow and Legzy fell back after being pesky for a few laps. Was alone more or less for the whole race.
Pitting was ok, though I just changed tyres, didn't switch off / on the engine for fuel.

Great track, good race, full of incident/action through it 8)

Was having some stonking good fun with Matt, I felt he was holding me up by about 1+ sec per lap, but I just couldn't make an impression on his Fezza down the straight, despite getting a better exit every time . Even tried using my pitstop earlier than planned, to find a way past him, but forgot to turn off my aero damage repair & he pitted on the very next lap, meaning he came out the pits 2.4secs ahead >:(. Finally got past went he ran wide on that tricky last turn & left him to choke on my dust ;)

I actually quite enjoyed the short format with a brief pitstop, despite losing out (sort of) in the pits this time. Didn't think I would. :thumbup1:

Just the one arguable cut-track warning (exiting the final bend) :-\, no other issues for me.

was fun. kept spining every couple laps or so just changed front tyres major understeer spent 90% of the race on 11th overtook someone who pitted, then spin 4 or 5 corners before the end and lost 10th lol.

the graphic detail on this track is very good, almost like being there!

Was having a steady race once GT got past me and was pulling away from quicksilver, then when i came in for my pitstop i just pressed ok (having already setup my pitstop for fuel and no tyres) not realising there was some damage to the car, so sat in the pits for an agonising amount of time and coming out in last place, managed to get a couple of places back due to other people falling off

no problems with this track for me

Good race
Held legzy up nicely as punishment for him falling off  ;D
Got several "booted as cheats" eventually it let me in
The cut tracks were silly, They were if you went inside or outside
the painted white lines, which at the last and 1st corner were
sort of part of a valid racing line.
Graphics were a bit chuggy at times. I would never use a Virtua LM
track in a league, they look really great, but always (for me) have lots
of FPS sucking eye candy. Fireworks in the sky? what for!!!!!
This one is not as bad as Mid Ohio which is diabolical on the last
two turns. I could run here, but would rather use a simpler version.

They sound like an overheating issue. Is the card very dusty and is the fan working properly?

It does seem to be temperature related although my temps were only in the mid 50s last night. I took the card out, gave it a good shake and rammed it back in as firm as it would go and it worked again. I also further underclocked the card and it worked fine for the race, but I reckon there is an underlying problem with it as it happens a lot. I'll be on to Overclockers today to see what they think.
