Will be having another fun race this weekend. Once again full historical inaccuracy.

I still need a little time before getting an LMP2 test race sorted.

Nice combo :beta1: :balloon:

In case you're after any suggestions, how about something like GT3's @Cadwell Park for the next fun race. ;D

Not used the GT3's in ages & we enjoyed a very large turnout for our ukpng race there recently. 8)

Welcome to UKGTR Reissuleipa. I have just put the server on line.

We have a UKGTR skin pack that you will need for the Super GT500 cars. Here is the link in case you missed it above:

See you Sunday. :)

Why Spanner?

This track has been run in GTL before so shouldnt be a surprise Legzy. Its too long with not enough corners, its boring! reminds me of Le mans! Plus its too wide and featureless. These cars feel too slow round here, your constantly sitting on a straight going up the gears, try and slow and scrabble round a corner then repeat. I guess like monza.

I will set the race to 31 laps rather than 40mins. First post updated.

I have managed to get in the 17s.  :)

I quite enjoy this car/track combo although it was more fun in the F1 88s.

Ok guys, did a separate install for F188 (which is working perfectly) but now can't join the gt500 server because the host maybe running a modified game. I have reinstalled everything and still no joy, any ideas?

Did you install the GT500 car pack and the track?
I had that modified game issue before I installed the track.

I think it's pretty straight forward track setup wise. Ultra low splitter and wing + stiff rear antiroll bar + stiff rear/soft front springs. Works for me anyways.

Hi Intratom, welcome.

There is no real registration for the races, just turn up if you want to race!

Hope you mean "Cya in the next race." :-\ Car can freeze on track with no one to blame. :(

Had a good race with Legzy, even if he was making fun of me. ;)

:-*
I just really enjoyed the first 10-12 laps fighting with you, the middle 8 where I was kind of stuck 2 secs ahead were just not as much fun mate... so eased off a little to let you catch/pass & for a about a lap I thought I wasn't going to be able to catch you again
But once we engaged missiles again, it was corking.
My most enjoyable race for a few weeks. 8)

(though I know how frustrating it is when you get caught up in an early incident that was not your fault (or anybody else's on this occasion it seems :()

I dont really know what went on tbh. Maybe it was just the pressure or just not had to go so hard so soon on cold tyres and snatchy brakes. Went off at the final chicane on the first lap and bareky got out of the gravel, then spun it at the second corner as i lost the back while braking, then on the next lap took the first corner too tight and rode up the kurb and spun. I wasnt in a happy mood to start with anyway, so by then i'd had enough and quit.

Bad luck to those who got caught out by the frozen car on the first lap.

I will get the results sorted later.

Bad luck to those who got caught out by the frozen car on the first lap.

Indeed. A real shame.

Our policy for restarting a race is to avoid it unless absolutely necessary.

I had some close running with Legzy and TT for a while near the start but, I could not keep up with them. The car was a bit wobbly with splitter 4 and win 6. :o

Well done podiums, thanks for racing all.

I had a thought today about the combo & it being a 'bit simple'.
I think that made it easier to concentrate on the racing element.
Was certainly very different to normal & it's good to mix it up occasionally :)
