No installer available for this track but you can get it here http://www.gamefront.com/files/20694293/GPCKyalami79_v1_0_7z and download to your Race07 folder which can be found at C://Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/your name/Race 07.

I picked up the expansion pack tonight. I like how the steering and brakes feel all wobbly in the cars compared to the modern racers.
I took the Camaro out first. Suprisingly, the default set is very good.

I love these "Max" cars as they are so easy to drive and slide through the corners even for my usually neat driving style. I particularly like the vette which is tremendous fun and sounds and even feels great through my new fangled homegrown shaky vibro seat  :o

Having tried a race at RD the other night I've concluded that Race/Evo just doesn't run very well for me. That together with Wednesday being mara night means I doubt that I'll be attending any of these races. A shame as I think the mod will provide some excellent racing. Have fun chaps.

Downloaded the track, which isn't in a folder? Just can't get it to work, obviously doing something wrong, but I'm buggered if I know what lol

It's in a compressed file. You need Winrar or similar to extract the contents. I'll see if I can find the same track un-compressed at nogrip.

EDIT: May still be compressed but this is the nogrip link http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=17604

If your planning to stay in sim-racing your going to have to get to grips with zip/rar compressed files. If I get time tonight I'll put the compressed file contents on to Gamefront for you.

Sorry but there are just too many individual files and I have other stuff I need to get on with.

Best bet is to download a free trial of Winrar http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-bit/3000-2250_4-10007677.html.

Start by having your windows explorer open in the locations folder of your Race07 folder (see earlier post for full path).

Next, double click the .7z file. You should then see a folder called GPCKyalami79. Drag this folder into the location folder and sit back and wait. Once that's finished it's job done.

Oh dear. Tried to get some online praccy in tonight and kept being "Booted as possible cheat". Tried different car choices, restarted the server, nothing works.

Hope I don't miss tomorrows race  :(

Thought I'd try to see if I could join, but I'm also being booted. Having AI on the server can be the cause of this with some tracks which would be the first thing to try. Or it could be a particular line in the track file (can't remember exact one) which can also cause this.

Edit: Tried the server with no AI and still getting booted. That line in the track gdb is "Igaid=64" and it appears to be as it should be, so I'm out of ideas now.

Id check you dont have any car mods installed that might conflict with these cars. Had the problem with Porsche and Ferrari mod, the Porsche had the same car id as the Zonda out of the official GT pack they released which meant you couldnt join the server.

That's worrying. Can anyone get online for this?

I have no mod cars installed. Only those that are included with Race 07 and the Retro expansion pack.

Agreed. Must be a duff track, although other leagues were using it last night  ???

I'll be right back with an alternative.

I started on pole, but decided to hang back on the 2nd lap to see if I could pass the field. All was going well until the AI punted me. My car was all screwed up afterwards, but I thought I may still be able to take the fight to the front. A few laps later, my computer locked up. Still, I enjoyed flogging these beasts around the track.

Due to common accord the track was changed to Curtiba Oval.

And a good race it was but when I pitted to get fuel I realised that I hadn't set up my pit board control keys. What a newbie  ::) so I had to quit. Gutted.

Thanks everyone who turned out. Maybe we will have six by the seasons end

The AI was rather interesting here, got rear-ended on the first lap and spun around a couple of times, not unlike the average public race. :P

Track was great with these cars, I'd like more fun races on simple tracks like this.

Very happy to change future track choices if it's by common agreement.

The server is now running next weeks event so to prevent panics like tonight  ::) can I ask if you can give the online race a go and come back with comments, thanks.

Replay is now posted but results will take a little longer as I need to get a car make added to our system.
