All drivers may join the server immediately but are asked not to go out on track until there are 30 minutes of qualifying left as this helps all drivers join the server successfully.

Please restrict chat to pit messages if necessary, and this includes the end of the race, until all running drivers have completed the necessary laps.

The Porsche Super Cup Races will be run across 2 Servers, under Pro rules and will be approximately 50 minutes in length.
Lap 1 will be fully moderated and thereafter will be reported incidents only.

Anyone got any idea what a good midfield time would be?

Update: Depressingly Sergio has set a UKGPL3 lap record of 1:53. I thought I was doing OK with 2:03  ::)

I find the track layout just awful.

Yes the track is a little dramatic ! :D

Paul, I always seem to be midfield and my Porsche PB is 1:57.568.  I've no idea if that was with draft or not, but probably, so you're not that far off the mark. 
My uneducated tip; make sure you get a good drive on to the fast stretch, I often rush too fast into the kink and sharp left before the fast section which compromises the exit.  In fact I find it easy to rush in to most of the turns here and throw the car into the scenery, kind of suckers you in!

You could always ask mini blood for a track guide  ;)  When he's done it, send it over please!  :D

LOL - down to a 2:01 now but I am still a danger to shipping...

1:57.5xx here too.....but finding consistency to be near impossible. As far as racing goes and laptimes aside, there seems to be a multitude of lines at a some corners so paint swapping should be fun. A few of the corners seem to reward patience and careful use of lines.....but carrying excess speed into most of the infield seems to be a recipe for a spanking. Not an easy
place to play.....but the drafting should be fun.

Honestly speaking I don't like very much the races in ovals because they seems too much tedious and the only thing to do is to stay in a slipstream making the car doing its work almost by itself but, this time, at least we have some corners on wich to put our hands that make the track a little bit dangerous because the transitions high/low speed involves these corners so you have to trail brake a lot and it is simply to make a mistake.
I hope to end the race with...all wheels...near my chassis  ::) :P

There was a vote on the Announcements page about this. You could choose Porsche; Ferrari or Other. The Porsche won the vote overwhelmingly so the plan is to repeat the Porsche Cup in Season 22.

I'm not going to make this one, so "enjoy" this "awesome" track.  ;)

Hmm... that makes Blito team leader and I don't buy his 'I'm 2:01 as well" for a minute. He has done that to me before - "Ooh I don't know where that 1:52 came from. I was REALLY surprised to lap you three times, Paul..."  :laugh:

lol m8..... well, In my 5 laps of practice I did 3 2:01s... maybe if I bothered to learn the layout better I might take another 3 or 4s off that :D

Apologies to my team, woke to the alarm, turned it off and promptly went back to sleep. The only time I've been able to get off to sleep easily this week was after the alarm had gone off. Bloody typical.

Guess which prat joined the wrong server? Daftest thing is that I only realised on lap 8 of the race!!! D`oh!

Arrgh. S**t day at work, car problems coming home, no race for me - too late to join :-(

Ah well, looking forward to next season.....

Almost as bad as ...........
.Finally getting a setup that works about 3 laps before the start and scraping a 7th spot on the grid.

Following in the pack for the first 3 laps whilst various fast guys threw themselves off

Finding myself in 3rd place after 4 laps and perfectly postioned for a tow

Getting the tow to carry me through to 1st place!! ( never thought I would see that in this race!! lol)

Pulling a big enough gap on the next lap to deny the cars behind a tow

Steadily pulling away  lap after lap and driving very comfortably..this is a just a bit too easy with 14 laps to go

geez, hard luck Clive.  I think there were a few.

I was gifted another podium and grabbed second after an unlucky Bob ran out of fuel.  Plenty of other misfortune allowed me a distant finish to Juha.  Grats to him.

Sorry it turned out like this Clive. When you sailed by lapping me and the next guy was an eternity coming by I assumed you were heading for a lonely victory. This despite my best attempts to run you off track in the early skirmishes, I never realised you were on the inside as I swept across and I just saw too much of you later on breaking into turn 1, apologies.

Grats to Juha, Steve and Nicky for the podium. Well done to the Porsche International Team of Juha, Axel and myself.

I am kind of sorry to say that my problems were not any screen freeze but a stupid mistake all by my self and after that my engine did not want to run so fast any more so I just pulled over.

I want to thank Pedro for a great effort, and also Lupo although he seems to have gone missing for the later part of the season.

Thanks to Mike and Fulvio for running the show, grats to Supercup Porsche International for winning it.

Just one last observation, there seems to have been some problems with the final championship table because Team 7 got our, (Super cup Black night) third spot  :o

This Porsche Cup was an inspired idea, I am looking forward to next season and renewed competition.

A little sadness in my last words of the Porsche Super Cup. Hours of practice and application time wasted in 2 stupid contacts during the beginning of the last 2 races that made me think maybe this is not a game for me. Very very disappointed so, sorry if I was not of the party yesterday evening for the final congratulations but, I was a liiiIIiiIiiiittle raged.
Anyway it has been a fun serie I was participating seriously enough.
Thanks to all, organization and pilots as well, very nice to met you all and my best compliments for the Pilot's and the Team's Cups winners.

Thanks to Ronnie who did a great part to make it happen. This made our team championship perfect!

My race was like Spa when I lost some power in the early laps, but with the experience I got there, I managed to finish this time.

Hope we can defend our title the next season ::)

One more thing to say...and I don't know how many of you pilots will agree with me but...I prefer GPL to watch out a F1 grand prix on television that inevitably makes me sleep after a few laps.
I prefer motorbykes MotoGP instead, that for me are a little bit more spectacular also if Casey Stoner is just killing the championship. Too much difference amongst all cars, 1.5 seconds or more of gap at Monza means there are several leagues that are racing together not only one but...it always has been so.
In GPL except in cases in which there is only a talented pilot, it is simple to finish a race with only a few thents of gap.

[Edit] In some championships (like in GPFun), faster pilots uses slower cars so gaps are reduced furthermore (this is not the case of PSC anyway, I've liked much).

Not yesterday, but in the most F1 races I fell asleep! MotoGP and BTCC are the spectacular series I prefer :thumbup1:

honestly didnt like the track but did have to practise some laps before race.Clouds was too close in points table  :laugh:  Not a good not bad quali i did 3rd?  Very nervous start T1 was okay but few laps later there was 2 cars crah there . Good racing with Pedro on early of race but unfortunately he disappeared front of me suddenly , that sucks Pedro :P Dont know if there was Evil in some point of race, didnt check the pitboard too often and i dont have pribluda where to see real time standings.
I waited for a good racing but there was unfortunately again discoes and racing accident, so feels like i win too easy.

Good racing with you Cookie and Ray! We are the team champions ! lol

Race mod published so the standings are final pending any appeals, though I'm not sure what you'd appeal against.

As the mod says, thanks to all who entered and we hope to see you all back for Season 22 in some of our other divisions as well as the Porsche Super Cup.

Huge thanks to Paul who did the bulk of the race imports and lap 1s for me.

Congratulations to Juha who was the top driver but the main event was the Team title that went to SuperCup Porsche International (Juha Hallikainen, Ronnie Peterson and Axel Cookie).

Grats, Juha, although you got lucky in the first half of the season going into low-competition servers, you were actually really fast and the title is well-deserved.  :rockon:

I just needed a few races to learn how to take the best performances from a Porsche (I've never used a Porsche before the start of this championship, indeed I've never used a mod at all before), but at the time I did it, Juha was always flying high. And maybe if I would have been calm in more than a situation, now I probably would have had a lot of points more and a lot of race ended as well. Anyway these are the races. I hope to have the right experience to begin the next season in the right way.

 ... I got good fun with all of you and I'm thinking to come back next season ....( sorry for my english , I don't practice since long time ......) ... Well done to the winner and final podium .... sorry Sergio , I'v not seen that you was running for the title ! other way I open the door more ....( but what's appen to you when you over pass me ?.....?? ....)
 ....the only thing I dout , is the répartition of the serveurs , cause the difference of level is too big beetween the firsts and the lasts pilots and it's may cause accident .....Ithink it's mutch better to have 2 divisions with the more near performance level ...like this , the novices can win a race .
...Idrive in France with F1LEGENDS ( exclusively F1 67 ) and I find the formule on top ! .....one serveur turn 15days before the race night and day , it"s the qualifie serveur ..... the divisions are made from the best time of every pilot....we have 3 ( sometime 4 ) regular division of 15 -18 pilots.....have a look and you are also welcome on frog"s land ;D

Hahahaha Frog's Land...I've heard about that way to say from a TV serie "Horatio Hornblower" like to say Pizza e Spaghetti pertaining the Italians LOL.

Not much to say Tristan only that at the last moment I was not able to decide the right way to overtake you and I've decided for the most difficult way..."internal" just where there was the lesser room, and in the same instanct I was passing, you moved a little bit the drive wheel just the necessary to reduce the room furthermore, so the contact we had made me loose my front right wheel and at that moment I did'n see that you've lost your front Left wheel too. Since the banked turn was to the left you glided as well almost without any problem untill has come the time to hard brake coming down from the banked. But at the time you splattered onto the wall I was already in my bed furious for my bad move. That's all from my point of view.

I'm sorry if I was not clear enough, I trust in your intelligence in order to exceed my ignorance.  ;)
