Cheers, will look after.
I remember when I used to buy a game and take the game manual to work and have a flick through it..... :'(

Are there options/settings that are recommended to use?
As apart from graphics settings and and a slight tweak of the wheel ffb its pretty much out of the box.

Welcome back LEuven  thumbup1
Chat default key it "T" in game, but only possible while in the car on track
One of the little nuances still missing from this otherwise excellent sim

Thanks phspok, tried "C", "Tab", "Enter" but not "C" and not in game.  whistling

Shame about your race picnic. The old "quirks" of online simracing issues are still around then.  cursing

Was sort of hoping not to get pole really, so I could just ease myself back in to the swing of things.....
Getting chucked in at the deep end with pole was a blessing in disguise anyhow as I probably won't have been able to pass frex with that pace and his relentless and constant harassing. sweatdrop
Great drive, even when you were sideways you didn't seem to lose any ground and the odd time I managed to open up the gap to just over a second, you either clawed it back or I made a little error, just couldn't pull away, felt like I had a tow rope on the back of my car.

Is it possible to watch replays in this game?

How do you chat in game?  Roll Eyes

The leaderboard shows a 1:23.7 so I have 2 seconds to find.  Wink

As you can Imagine, I'm very rusty at sim racing and have never raced this circuit or game.
What sort of lap time should I be aiming for roughly?
I managed mid 1:25s after a few laps practice earlier.

I'm hoping to tag along too if it's OK?
Bought this game last week so now I can hopefully get back into sim racing again.

Going to dust off the helmet and throw caution to the wind.
Only because it's an old favourite of mine and there's no pit stops and strategy to worry about after so long from racing in anger.

All going to plan, I'll dust off the wheel and race suit and pop in.
I'll start from the back too I think so I can ease myself back in. (presuming there's no 107% qualifying rule)
Don't forget to go easy on me surrender

For the last 6, 7 years, Leuven, there's always something here, every Sunday. Roll Eyes

Yes but not always what I want to race in, so I pick and choose. Hit with a wet fish

If there was racing GT's around Enna every Sunday then I'm sure I'll be here most Sundays,
even if it's just for the carnage at the first set of tyres.  thumbup1  Wink

Using this mod didn't change my opinion of this track - I still think it's our best test track. Grin

I love this track too, so how the **** did I miss this? Huh Roll Eyes
Was looking forward to it too and I even did a few "practice" laps round here in the McLaren F1 and the NSX too.

The absolute best Demo I ever went on was the GTR demo. getting in that Lister Storm and blasting around Spa with the engine and transmission whine it was just heaven, things just couldn't get any better than that for me then. I Am Not Worthy
Oh Happy days.

you want to try some of the GT cars in evo at full chat then mister Leuven ! They sound and look glorious in it  Cool

That's what I was trying to get at about GT cars MJ, thats why I underlined GT in my post above, you knew that though really. Grin
14  Race '07 / Race '07 Series / Re: GTR Evolution..a way forward? on: January 21, 2011, 08:02:52 PM +0000
The big dog to to me is Evo as it has the 3 GT classes as well as shed load of other classes. Smiley

as ive seen and felt the improvements after 5 years of GTR2.  Sad

Would GTR3 even tempt back good grids? half the srouk membership seems hooked on ir and the other half have dwindled to a small pack of regulars. Who knows...

I can do but, I am more of  GTR2 man so if you want to do GT then please do.

I came to realise recently what I miss the most and also what I think I would like most from simracing, and that is GT racing.
It's what gripped me in the very first place with GTR, and it kept me hooked for a while with GTR2, but with such a long gap between GTR2 and GTR3 and a lot of stop gap games (race07 etc) I think that is partly what could have dispersed some communities as people obviously get bored of the same thing if it doesn't have a large enough pull, so they try other things.

Plus, for me and maybe the other younger people too  whistling, it was GTR that started it all off for any kind of serious sim racing. w00t

15  Everything Else / Real World Racing / Re: F1 in HD this year? on: January 15, 2011, 09:55:15 AM +0000
Nothing to do with the lenses, and the sensors only need to be 2 megapixel for 1080 HD anyway, they won't be any heavier than the existing cameras. Look at the camera in the iPod Touch, it shoots 720p HD, that's 0.9 megapixel and the camera is tiny.

An Ipod camera at 720p isn't TV quality HD.
Put your Ipod touch on an F1 car at <200mph and see how good the picture is.
