Yeah I managed to duck out of TS just in time Smiley.

Gonna miss the Skippy race tonight so I might stick something on for Weds or I'll be going another week without my fix!

Rebuilt PC over the weekend, testing each component thoroughly and changing the suspect hard disk so keeping fingers crossed it won't bomb out on me any more although I'm not all that hopeful I've nailed the prob.

Go on Spanner, you know you want to host one Wink

Oulton tonight....oh go on then Smiley.

Shame you missed it Pete - was most amusing indeed! Think the format works well although I'm not sure the slow stuff at Okayama is ideal for those cars, they seem to be more fun at places like Watkins....was a great challenge though, really enjoyed myself!

Unlucky Legz - would have been good to have you there.

Should be a cracker tonight, really looking forward to it!

Hahaha I don't know Legz but I felt like I was stamping on it pretty hard at times...definitely wasn't holding back deliberately! Conditions were murky and I could barely see out of the visor at times having steamed it up but the grip was really good. As for the patience...it didn't sit well with me at all but it was that or get pulled off the track so an easy decision to make in the end! It was nothing compared to 20 mins behind the safety car, that was really getting on my nerves. 10 mins was needed to get a feel for the controls etc but 20 mins was way too much. At Donington he sped up but there was none of that here...I guess because there were two on track so we'd have caught the next lot. The next session made up for it ten-fold though thankfully!

Had a couple of oversteer moments and I almost went off the circuit at the last corner when I left my braking too late but other than those and getting rid of the cone at the first chicane it was pretty much incident free. They're pretty strict on overtaking, you have designated areas on the straights and even then you have to wait for a blue flag to go for it...or not if you're Cliff hey mate!? Smiley And yep, I'd book again tomorrow if I had the funds trust me!

Cheers Paul, I felt like I was getting a move on but I know I was being a big girl's blouse at the first chicane, I'm not even sure that needs any brake applied at all - next time!!

Definitely no need to keep throwing it off but I think at the same time you have to get your money's worth Spanner!

Took one for the team this morning - tough job but somebody had to do it Smiley.

Barely scratched the surface of the limit and watching the vid makes it even more obvious but I was grinning all the way home so it was mission accomplished

Will bulk up the post with some more details shortly....

Thanks to Gaz for the heads up and Cliff for the company at the track - good to see you mate!

Could always get some practice in tonight if you fancy it MJ - the Club England series mirrors the main iR one (in case you hadn't clocked that bit!) so it's a good way to get ready for Monday. Well, actually it's essential these days it seems if you want to have any pace!
25  SimRacing In General / iRacing / Re: Club England Announcements on: March 06, 2012, 11:55:41 AM +0000
Good man! That's a quality drive given the constantly improving standard at the moment and the fact there were 32 (?) cars. Gutted to miss out but just one of those things.

Getting withdrawals so I'll be on later tonight for a blast in something - probably some Mosport action I suspect!
26  SimRacing In General / iRacing / Re: Club England Announcements on: March 05, 2012, 12:40:12 PM +0000
You won't regret it Jimbo. With or without tuning kit in the end??

Can't make tonight unfortunately - quite gutting as last week there were 35 cars on the grid @ Brands!

Still, enjoy and I'll catch you at the next one no doubt.

27  SimRacing In General / iRacing / Re: Triple race, reverse grids - BTDC @ Club England starts Thursday! on: March 02, 2012, 01:05:51 PM +0000
Has potential that layout! I can see the Late Model being a lot of fun around there, bouncing across the curbs sideways before settling for braking into Becketts would be highly entertaining.

Enjoyed it while it lasted yesterday but pulling into the pits with a bent car and three different stop/go offences I realised my time was done LOL.

No doubt I'll be a glutton for it again in two weeks.

I know I'm going to regret it but....I'll see you there  Roll Eyes Cheesy
29  Everything Else / Real World Racing / Re: Silverstone Experiences on: March 01, 2012, 11:36:52 AM +0000
Of course Smiley.

Looks like it'll be the Stowe circuit from what I can gather - shame it doesn't use any of the GP circuit corners but I'm sure it'll be a giggle all the same.

Any tips Paul? Pace car laps look as if they might be a little dull - I guess the key is to be the car behind it!?

Couldn't resist - booked in an early birthday present as I'm in the area next week anyway - cannot wait!

12th March @ 9.15am for anyone who fancies joining me Smiley

Anyone know which configuration they're likely to be using??
