Art had a bit of a struggle and made a lot of mistakes allowing Phil to capitalize. On the very last lap, Phil made a costly mistake and spun at the small Karussel, allowing Art through - Art then seems to move over for Phil being aware of a hefty time penalty for two Shift Rs that were not followed by stop and go. Very gentlemanly but as it turns out, not very wise: Art in fact finished second and is awarded 60 seconds penalty which now puts him in fourth, behind Jack - Art will be scratching his head as he would have still held on to final podium position as the time penalty puts him no more than three tenths behind Jack, had he only been a bit more efficient in letting Phil through.
Aaaaaaw man!!!! You gotta be kidding me. Well not so much of the gentleman next time believe me. C ya all Monza.

Then for some reason Will dropped out and I was third, bad luck Will. Well nature decided to unleash her fury just as qually began. I think I was on my third lap when lightning hit pretty close and the power zapped. (It was the first time I've ever heard the power saver strips pop. ..a very eerie sound indeed). Power came back on after about 5 seconds so I got rebooted just in time for the race. Then as the race started, that electrical "pop" sound got me thinking about the rest of the house and "should I check it out or just keep racing"...so naturally I carried on but when I forgot to even slow down for Flugplatz, I knew my day was almost over. Shaken and stirred, I carried on only to crash going down the hill at the beginning of sector 2. At this point the enire field was past but I wasn't going to give up...as I started back down the hill, the GPL Gods decided it was time to quit as a bolt of lightning nearly hit the house and the power was cut for the next 12 hours. The joys of living in the country. As it turns out, only the fax machine blew up. As it's only my first disco ever in UKGPL, I can't be too upset but I truely missed racing y'all at the green hell.....where anything can happen on any corner and usually does as was the case in the first sector yesterday. LOL Looking forward to reading the results. Grats to Phil!!! Will C'n'B Pheeew.......I noticed you were behind me Will and I honestly thought that maybe me being a bit too cautious in the first few corners possibly got you off line a bit as I noticed you were on my gearbox. Then all of a sudden you weren't there anymore. Glad it wasn't me though. lol Harsh luck Will. C ya all at the next one.

Well that was a bit of a disaster! My PC froze as I crossed the finishing line at the end of qualifying and by the time I'd relaunched everything it was too late to rejoin. Yet another stunning victory that might have been MT Damn that's harsh Mike. Are you running D3D or Open GL m8? I used to have the same problem until I switched to OpenGL. Now it runs nicely. As for my race well qually went better than I would ahve thought and made Pole. Got a good start but to be honest on cold tyres the Brab was a beast to handle in the first half a lap and if I made anyone behind me a little nervous then I apologise profoundly. As for the rest of the race it went smoothly and held onto 1st until I made a msitake and let bernie through. Then it seemed like we were taking turns in making mistakes. I gotta say that I got nothing much more to say about the race apart from hats off to everyone for completing the 5laps. Well done to Phil for the victory and more valuable points for C 'n' B. P.S. Kruger just a quick admission. I done 2 Shift-R's with no Stop 'n' Go's. Slap my wrists.

The usual medeocre performance from me ( at least I'm consistant) My only problem (apart from staying awake for 35 laps ) was GPL wait , I pressed the P in key and nothing, made my scheduled stop, pressed the Go button ......... and , ............Nothing ....... zilch ........ nowt ! in fact F'all happened so there I was , sat in me car trying to count the seconds but can't for the life of me remember how long the Brabby pit stop time should be , durr ! stupid or what ? After an age I re join the track and resume "racing" as normal and waiting for the inevitable "alien attack" so I can get out the way promptly. Was a bit sick after the race to find my Pit Crew had taken nearly 2 minutes to change 4 tyres, wipe my visor and fill her up. No bonus money for that shower this W/E , in fact if they dont get there ass in gear for Nurbs they will all be for the flugplatz Rumour has it they couldnt get the wheelnuts done up for laughing ROFLMFAO That's my trick Bernie. Great write up.

Well got into praccy a tad late but still managed a PB in the Cooper so was happy with 9th. Got a decent start and had Mr Darwin in my sights on a few occasions. He made that car pretty wide so good job on the defense. I was wondering why I was a bit quicker than him in a few places then realised that I still had Praccy fuel on even though I had fuelled it and change the race set up to 35 laps. Well I thought I would just pit lots of times. lol I came into a bend a tad too fast and went to rejoin off the racing line when all of a sudden I was on my roof. I watched the replay and to be honest it was definately a racing incident as Burt lost control and he came skidding into me. To be honest there was no way Burt was at fault so don't be worrying m8. Onto Nurby. Not my fave track at all.

Sounds good Clive and I'll be up for this. Number of races: I'm up for mini series or full season. Team size: I don't really mind about this so will go with what is decided. Rules: Pro rules are good for me. Race length: I'll go with Bully on this one...40-60 min race. Chassis usage: With Bully on this as well....restricted chassis all season Pappy only Tracks: Hmmmm....tough on this as I do like others as well. Point scoring: No comment as agree on your thoughts Clive. Cheers Art

Ive been downloading settings off the internet and taking it from there ,but some setups just don't feel right ,i think most of them are how the driver drives and what feels right to the driver. Ive only been playing gpl for 6 months and from other Sim racing games manly motor bikes, iom tt,motogp 3, gp500it is a differant kettle of fish .iam getting used to braking with a bit off throttle to take the pressure off the clutch to prevent the back end from locking up [just like on a bike]and turning it in before the bend and getting the power on but it is a very fine line to get it right and crashing .so iam going to try the cooper next to see how i get on with that, and thanks for all the support guys i realise its my first season learning new tracks so i will perceiver learn the tracks learn to drive and be consistent thanks for the input guys
Not a problem Dennis. Glad to hear it.

made a complete mess of it got lapped a few times struggled with the car when moving out of the way when getting lapped i either clipped the grass or span out when letting off the gas and for the next race ill think ill drive the safety car stay out of every bodys way
We've all been there m8 so don't worry too much. I remember my 1st season in GPL and WOW what an eye opener. lol I managed to speak to a friend who pointed me to http://www.sim-replays.de/These set ups helped me a lot to lower my GPL Rank and get used to the cars but the only thing that I would really change is the brake bias. I personally started at 56 and now I'm becoming more confident (after 4years ) I'm now at around the 52 mark. Like Bernie said though, try a different car. I chose the Eagle but the Fezza is a nice one and also the Cooper. You will definately improve and we all want you to so don't get too disheartened.
