As I have said before, it is sad to see the end of GTL here, & once again a huge thank you to Tony for all the years of organising. Also thanks to everyone who has been part of the GTL community here, it has been a pleasure sharing the track with you all. For me that will probably be the end of my GTL career, but I will be continuing simracing, & as Daz said there are many newer sims out there & probably more to come, which is both good & bad. Good to have so much choice but bad in that will inevitably dilute the player base of what is a niche corner of gaming.

I can only endorse Daz's comments on SCB, a great bunch of racers with the focus mainly on Raceroom but also a weekly dose of RFactor2. Although they explore all the content of those sims, races for older cars predominate, so there is plenty to interest GTL fans. So if any of you are interested in joining Daz, Clive & myself at SCB, PM me or Daz & we will let you have an invite to their Discord channel.

That has been a regular occurrence for me at Goodwood races, happened twice to me last night too, once in qually where the game froze, briefly flashed back to desktop & then resumed, and once in the early laps of the race where it just froze for 3-4s.

Well if GTL is to end here, then that was my last race as I am unable to do the Christmas event. Not one of my better performances, binned it on lap 1 so decided to keep Tony company until he crashed out. Anyway I did not have the pace to trouble the front guys, all way too quick for me in these. Congrats to Daz, Clive & Erling on the podium.

As this, I guess will be my last race GTL race, I would like to wish all of you well for the future. It has been fun & a privilege to race with you all over the 15+ years I have raced here. Most of all a huge thank you to Tony for organising GTL for most of the time I have raced here, we owe you a big debt of gratitude. Also thanks to Matt for supplying the server recently & for organising the RRE races over the years, a shame that ended like it did. I know I will be racing with some of you elsewhere in the future, but to the others, good luck & have fun with whatever you find to replace UKGTL.

I totally concur with the previous posts. Very sorry to hear that you are stepping down Tony, your dedication to running GTL here over so many years has been amazing & as I have said before, your organisation far surpasses that of any other community I have been involved with, and that includes ones that I have attempted to run. A huge thank you for all your efforts. 

Of course it remains to be seen if GTL continues here, although I am temporarily absent from it, I would continue to support it when I can. I do hope someone will volunteer for the post.

Croft 67 is a modded track, Croft (of any description) was not in the original game.

Oh dear, I too am going to be out of GTL for the foreseeable future. For Mrs Geoffers sake I limit myself to racing 4 evenings a week, however at present with the new season of Raceroom Ranked Championship events this has increased to 5, so one temporarily has to go & regrettably that is going to be the Monday GTL races. Hopefully I will be back at some stage, but in the meantime I hope you all have fun. 

Got the old S/G habit again, this time I went in for the S/G & could not get the pitboard to come up, hadn't practiced a stop as wasn't going to have one so had no idea where to position the car. Without a reliable clutch I kept stalling it so gave up trying to go back & forth. Coming to the end of the road with GTL I think. 

Yeh, take it easy Kurt, look forward to your return to the track. 

OK guys, I have just watched the replay & it is quite clearly me that caused the incident. No fault of Clive's at all, I ran into the back of Robby causing Robby to spin & my car to collect Matt's, so sorry once again guys. I will penalise myself with a drive through & a back of the grid start at the next A35 race.

Not watched the replay, but I am pretty sure it was totally my fault, just too keen not to lose time & ran into the back of Robby. So nothing to do with you Clive, seems like I need to apologise to Matt too, sorry.

Not much luck in these, I have to say sorry once again to Robby, stupidity crept in again. 

I was about to write, "one of Tilke's worst", but then I thought I should check if he designed it. I checked & I am still not sure, it is not listed as one he designed but another source says he did design it. Still as Tony says it is bloody horrible.

I know now which way the next corner goes, it is just a case of remembering which is a 2nd gear corner & which is a 3rd gear corner. 

Cripes, this is a difficult track to learn, been pounding round for the last 45 minutes & I am still not sure which corner comes next. 

Whilst I appreciate Erling's point of view, & yes it is very satisfying when you have won fair & square, I only suggested a form of handicapping to give some of the other guys a chance at winning the odd race. Having looked back through the GTL results this year the only drivers that have won a race are Daz, Erling, myself & the odd other alien that has turned up occasionally (Paddler, Micha, Dimitar & Ziu) with one exception, Fulvio won once! I am not suggesting for one minute that we do this for all series, just an occasional one to attempt to make the outcome a little less predictable & the races a little more exciting, as Erling said the results recently have been a bit predictable. I still enjoy GTL but I have a bit of a feeling in my head that I am only turning up out of a sense of loyalty as the races I compete in in other sims during the week invariably provide more exciting races, even though at times I am lucky to be in the top 6. This is no reflection on Tony's organising which in my experience is unmatched elsewhere, it is solely to do with a lack of numbers & the quite wide disparity in the speed of the drivers here which makes the racing less exciting which is why I made the suggestion to try remedy that.
