I had a guy opposite me in the hospital years back having the same procedure- it sounded seriously painful when he came out of surgery so glad to hear you're back at home and already getting better. Good luck with the recovery. Can't believe you couldn't make the effort with the race though  Wink Grin

Well said, and thanks from me to everyone too. It's easy to just turn up and race and forget about the work that people put in behind the scenes on top of the racing they want to do themselves in order to keep it all going.
So, to all of you  rockon

Have they got a 4Mb package? Kick up a fuss and insist you pay what they charge for that.

I meant Brno (but didn't say it Wink).

I used less fuel than I was expecting- I went for 44 minutes and then 38 in the set-up, but didn't pit until close to 50 minutes. I'd dropped the maximum revs by 200 to be cautious and probably only maxed the revs on the straight, perhaps the calculation GTR presents you with is based on redlining with max revs set?

I ran out of fuel on the last lap at the bottom of the hill at Enna a while ago- gutted isn't the word! I've stopped fiddling with close-to-the-bone amounts now and just add a couple of laps extra to each stint for safety. 2 laps fuel is nothing in terms of weight and the sort of thing you can make up by a couple of good corner exits. Just play it safe and get the driving right is my advice  Smiley

My car was nowhere near as quick as practice sessions or as it has been every other day mid to low 1.25.. I did notice after the race the temperature was lower than practice sever and my tyres were not at correct temperature's, so must be that.

I had the same, for what it's worth. Practising beforehand I'd spent ages balancing the pressure and camber and got the fronts, for example, at a nice regular 78/82/85 ish temperature. In the sessions prior to the wet one the front were down in the 69-74 range. I think the time of day was teh same so that's a bit odd. Same for everyone though I guess.

Really enjoyed that- it is a nice change to be a GT driver in Endurance with the traffic keeping things interesting when your attention might flag mid race otherwise. My first time not on the recieving end in Endurance so I hope I didn't give anyone problems passing. I did find qualifying "interesting" when trying to work out whether NGT cars were on their out-lap and I could pass or actually hotlapping and I should drop back.

I think I was in 6th or 7th when I pitted and should have stayed there give or take a place but I had a comedy spin at the last corner as the car weight swings from right to left and lost the bonnet which I've never seen before!? And punctured a tire. Limped round for a lap and then pitted for ages with the pit crew actually saying at one point "there is something wrong with the engine- you might want to sit tight for a while", again, a new one on me  Grin Glad you were unscathed Paul.

Had a great last 10 minutes with Dirh (I think) - most enjoyable few laps I've had for ages- bet you were glad when I got past if only so that I stopped bloomin' bothering you!

Good to know, ta. I'll drive it with a helium filled foot then!

Does anyone with experience of the Lambo in endurance events know at what rev setting you can run the engine reasonably reliably? Google says 7100 but it'll probably be faster to reverse down the straights at that setting.

We've got a couple of members signed up, if they fancy it amongst the twenty thousand other mods that is!

Anyone tried it- any good?

It's pretty bad yeah... British Telecom had a total strangle hold on telecoms for years and even now hold back the market because they control the telephone exchanges.

Virgin here, originally Telewest- in 4 years I can remember just one loss of service while they did some maintenance locally and that's it! I agree about the customer service though. Every 6 months I've always rang Telewest and gone through the whole pantomine of pretending I'm going to cancel unless they give me the same rates they are offering new customers. It's my pet hate seeing billboards giving great value to new customers whilst they continue creaming money off those that show any loyalty.

It always takes a good half hour of them "checking with their manager" and coming back with a rubbish offer, me saying "no", them saying "OK, I'll just ask again but this is not normally something we do...", me saying no to the next offer and "how eaxctly can I cancel?- I'd like to do so now please" etc etc Always the same routine (I could do their lines for them by now) but you always get there eventually.

I phoned up Virgin for the first time since they've taken over Telewest last week though and they couldn't wait to throw offers at me. The loss of the Sky stuff has them very eager to please- if anyone is on Virgin Media and fancies doing the same to reduce their bill or get more for their money then now is the time!

I haven't mate- on the one hand the fact that it's an AOL product would worry me but on the other, PCZone actually know what they're talking about so perhaps I shouldn't! I can reccomend AVG personally and have heard good things about NOD too.

I reckon some of the dodgy ones are indicative of companies that can't just make a decent, solid anti-virus product and leave it at that- they have to keep fiddling and adding more bloatware in order to keep the money coming in.

Lol Shark.

I'm using the free edition now and I periodically get a little blue box pop-up next to the clock telling me that the virus definitions have been updated. Perhaps it's the proggy itself that isn't?
