I spent much of yesterday spinning around our car storage area at Thruxton circuit, in a Mitsi L200 Warrior. 3 inch's of totally virgin snow and a rear wheel drive, well lets just say it may need a new set of rear tyre's, so yes if its wet I'm sure it'll be a breeze.

First race back after a long break and what a race!!!!!
Started on soft wets, as the Vertigo seems to not punish them. Thought I was doing a superb job at the start, but now reading some of these posts, I think it was down to others tyre choices. Had an awesome scrap with Goldtop, I just couldn't get past him as I didn't have the confidence to try outbraking or going the long way round, so just pressured him for several laps, hoping to force a mistake. Alas it didn't come and I fried my front trye's, pitted and for some unknown reason selected soft slicks. After 2 laps of spinning and sliding I came in for replacements and took soft slicks again, well after more fun and frolicing came in again for soft wet rears and medium wet fronts and then set about just trying to unlap myself or at least finish the full race distance.
Great job by the GT1 guys not forcing passes on us slower guys. And congratulations to the winner.
Hope to do loads more races (and not screw up).

Firstly I'd like to say sorry to all those that were behind me on the pre-start lap, my brake pedal jammed down a couple of times and by the time I had it free'd off, the front guys were already nearing the start. I really hope I didn't spoil anyones race.
As to Prof, its racing thats all, you saw the door wide open and went for it (as I would have), its just unfortunate that the GT1 boys came upon at that exact moment. As to ending my race, it was over long before that. I was thinking of ending it anyway, as I think I was more of a risk to the front runners. (was very tired)

Not a great start for a new league. Having not raced for over a month now and mostly on American circuits, I had no setup/practice for this and just hope that I didn't cause anyone any hassle.
Made a bad tyre choice at the start ( a common mistake I make) had a good first few laps until the front left delaminated, pitted got new tyres and rejoined made my way back upto 9th I think then looped it on the last turn and hit the wall, puncturing my front right, so thats a whole lap with a flat to get back and change it, then I get mechanical problems in the pit making it over a minute stopped watching everyone passing. Finally rejoin and just push for the rest of the race hoping for non-finishers and mistakes to get some more places back.
Looks like a fantastic league with lots of racing going on. Its nice to actually be in a situation where there are people to race, rather than circulating on my own as was very common in my last league. (small grids)
Hope for more of the same (although without the silly mistakes form this race) next time.
