Bit of a disaster this one , couldnt join server or anyother with igor, tried all things and decided to do a sys restore back a few days and it sorted the problem , only had 2mins to qualify and only managed a 1:22 someit for 11th on the grid, got off to a good start passing 4 or 5 cars into t1, passed a few more who spun or went off at t2, was in 4th but i could hear my hard drive goin crazy with activity and it had my framerate down to 32fps and this was enough to put me off, made a mistake and then decided to pull up as it was not running smoothly, shall be back for next round guns a blazing:), grats to podium

It has been a bit of a nightmare start for me too, nothing wrong with the racing, couldnt connect earlier on, so uninstalled gtr and reinstalled, still no joy, didnt have a firewall on, opened my ports, still no joy, turned out it was zonelarm firewall was on my machine, tho I only selected the anti-virus software, anyway, uninstalled it and hey presto, I can connect, get into server, and now my wheel doesnt feel right, there is very little feedback effects, its set at 100% in windows  and 97% in gtr, so i exit again, go into game controllers in windows and everything is set ok, but when i do the feedback test the feedback is weak, unplug the usb, put it back in, still doesnt feel right, shutdown, restart, pushing it for time to make the race, go into gtr and select momo wheel effects, go into server and the feedback is back again, go into qually and im struggling, can't get a clean lap in, managed 16th in the end, start of race go too fast into first corner, end up in sand trap, come out in last place, make a few places up as people fall off the track, had an incident in what i think was with a saleen , he had a wobbly moment and i touched his rear end, sorry to whoever that was, It look like i sent you into pitlane, hope that wasnt the case, but couldnt see you in my mirror, I go round into the start finish straight and as I get near the end my pc goes into 1fps mode, bought more memory hoping to avoid that, end up smashed into tyre barrier, wrecked, so that sums up my night. :'(  at least ive got 2weeks to get my problems sorted.  grats to the podium , cyas next time

no firewall, and ports r open, online no probs the other day when I installed more memory, looks like Im gonna miss tonights race, nevermind, have a good race folks and will see you's next time, doh I thought I installed zonealarm antivirus, It also must have installed firewall too, no idea why I only installed the virus program, I dont know why i bother with these programs, they cause nothing but hassle. uninstalled it and problem solved

I am not able to connect to multiplayer, says cannot connect to server. have done a reinstall and still the same problem, even tried to register again but still cant connect. i thought the whole system was down, but looking at the post above this isn't the case.

hi, thanks to all for the great racing last night, been spending most of my time racing gpl, so it was good to have a change, was running second in the first race when my screen froze for a second and  when it came back i was flung into a wall which wrecked my car. exited out and turned off special effects as this was causing jerking problems when people went off track, came back on for second race, no qualifying, straight to race and i got my first win online , came 5th in 3rd race, so it was a good niights racing for me, it was good to be able to have a race online without there being idiots ruining it for everyone like most pickup races online.that's why i joined ukgtr, as I knew it was the place to come for good clean racing.  i look forward to racing with you guys again. i see theres a fun race next week, So i'll be there for some more action on the track

I have sorted my problem with lock-ups by turning off  certain services and startup programs that arent required .

hi, ill be along for rookie night, just one question to ask about server, i was racing online last night in a pickup race and a few times my screen froze for upto a minute and then jumped back into the game , is this a server problem or is it down to a problem with the game or a problem with my pc settings, ran fine for the majority of the time i was online with gtr.
