It's clear from last night's race that some drivers are still not following some of the basic rules. May I remind drivers to read the rules page on the website.

Specifically, I had multiple reports of violations of the following:

• When racing at night, or during the dawn and dusk periods, or in the rain, drivers shall turn on their headlights.
• Drivers shall at all times and in all sessions obey the pit lane speed limit. Collisions in the pit lane are totally avoidable and unnecessary, and if they happen in a league race I will come down on the culprits like the proverbial tonne of bricks.
• Drivers must stay within the white lines delimiting the pit entry and exit lanes. In particular, a driver shall not rejoin the main part of the circuit until they have passed the end of the "blend line", nor shall they take shortcuts across runoff areas. Some drivers were driving straight onto the track at the bottom of Eau Rouge, which is very dangerous and really quite stupid.

I'm also aware that there was some unnecessarily forceful driving going on, and I will be reviewing the race and having a word in private or public, where I feel it's needed. Drivers who were involved in incidents should in this intance report them to me via this board's Private Message ("PM") facility, including the replay time of the incident and a brief description of what happened from your point of view.

I've had problems with double downshifts, ie. I press the paddle once and it downshifts twice. I've now got round it by assigning keys to the paddles (U for up and D for down!) in the Logitech Profiler, not just as single keypresses but as commands (key down, 0.1s pause, key up), which seems to have cured it.

So what was the limit before things went pear shaped? 20 or 24?

Assuming that someone takes the Mosler tonight, I'm going to take the Vertigo and at least one driver is taking the Seat, so assuming that we get some "normal" N-GT cars too that should make for a useful comparison.

And one final video. I'm right at the end (before to tap dancing ) trying to get yet another dog slow 300ZX who couldn't tell his racing line from his elbow out the way.

Here's another video, this time under 10MB, mostly 300ZXs but some 240s, and all three 350Z coupés (including me at 1:16 - watch how fast I steam into the final turn compared to the lardy arsed 300s! and again at 1:51).

The "UKGTR Moderators" membergroup had its max number of PMs set to 1 for some reason. Very odd.  They're all set to unlimited again now.

Also a good clip of the 200SX drift car which was on track with us (I had to keep reminding myself to watch the road ahead instead of watching him in my mirrors!  ).

Not yet. Somebody shot some video of me so I'll try and get hold of that. Most people were cowering in the bridge during my second session as it was full on tropical downpour stuff.

I just couldn't believe it as we sat in the pit exit road waiting to go for the second club session and the heavens opened! It wasn't too bad for me - and finally I have convinced the other owners that their Bridegstone RE040s are lethally poor in the wet! They were aquaplaning all over the place - I got thrown into brief four wheel drifts a few times after hitting standing water. Worst thing was the spray (and the misting up - but the air con came back on to sort that out!) - the first half of the session was really dangerous, I saw four cars go up the escape road at the first chicane all at the same time.

Best bit was putting one over on all the 300ZX TT owners who had been telling me all morning how they were going to leave me for dead - the 350Zs left the pitlane last and I think I overtook pretty much all of them. Too big, too much power.

Had a major pants changing moment in the final bend when I missed my blip changing down into third and locked the rear end up  - thank goodness I left the ESP switched on!

I guess they haven't heard of late apexing - the turn in markers on the chicanes were all much too early. As much as I detest those chicanes they were great for experimenting with trail braking!

Will have to come back sometime in the summer for half a day and do it in the dry.

Yep, I got that one, I think Paul is just too popular for his own good.
