Sorry for the late reply, but with my job it's easy to forget about online stuff. If you use 3x 32" full HD monitors I see no problem, but for higher resolutions the CPU could be a bottleneck.
Thanks Axel, but in the end I went with new PC and 50" 4k tv. Now my problem is with resolution. I've set resolution in Gem+ to 4k. it worked for a while but afther I wanted to set up my new wheel, menu got messed up:

First let's start with some issues I stumbled uppon. When tightening the bolt which secures the gear knob, I heard a small cracking as I was tightening it. That's the downside of 3d printing. It's strong with horizontal forces, but not vertical. Like putting a screw in wood which can cause it to split. I didn't break it, but you realise it can be fragile, but the knob was secured, so in the end no real issues. I've just got mine and it's no longer a problem. In latest version you only need to screw on the gear knob to the shaft. There are no extra bolts.

Hi guys.
If everything goes according to plan. I might have a little bit more free time at home. And that would allow me to start racing again(at least occasionally).
Currently I'm using 32" monitor, but I want to add another two screens, or maybe get myself Samsung 32:9 monitor(I was thinking about getting big TV, but that wouldn't work for anything other than simracing). Question is would it work with my specs. I have: x4 880k rx480(8GB) 24GB RAM Win10

UKGPL / UKGPL Races / Re: UKGPL Season 31 (2017) Amateurs Trophy (65) - Bridgehampton - May 9

No show I'm afraid. Still can't get any connection between the top (middle) 60deg of my wheel and the front wheels of a GPL car...apart from the 55's where it seems to be a genuine help. It's a Logitech G902 and it's taken a vast amount of time to get it working well on other games...But I can't see a way of clearing the dead spot in the wheel.
Geoff your wheel is basically a G25/G27, so it should work perfect in GPL. I'm pretty sure that there is something wrong in your settings. First thing I would check is the linearity and make sure that in Gem+ steering hack is off. My settings are below:

Well, that was a short one. Started from 3rd, but dropped to 4th before T1. I had a fun battle with Billy, but on lap 2 he went wide in T1 and spun. I've concentrated on catching Dave, but at the end of that lap I've got a screen freeze ad had to restart my PC.
I don't know what happened to my car when I got that freeze. Hope nobody crashed into it.

I won't be able to do all the races, but I miss the racing. So I've registered as a reserve driver. Is it a modern enough truck to be drive by wire? I'm sure you connect it to a laptop Lol. If it was possible, it would be so cool.

SimRacing In General / Grand Prix Legends / Head Tracking in GPL
|
on: May 05, 2017, 03:28:08 PM +0100

Hi Few years ago I've learned about GPLaps channel on YT, with a bunch of "Let's race" videos using GPL. The coolest thing for me, was the fact that he was using trackir while driving( like here). Ever since I saw that I wanted to try it myself, but on my old PC it wasn't possible. With the release of new mod I've decided to install GPL and to finally try head tracking in it. Here is the result: link. I've spend some time in flight sims, so I'm used to the idea of head tracking and someone new to it might need some time to get used to it. But it feels absolutely awesome. For those who also like this idea, you don't have to buy an actual trackir. I definitely didn't bought one myself. I'm using a modified PS3 eye camera with trackir pro clip(although I should have build one myself) and free software opentrack. I still need to test it online with 60fps patch, but for now it works great
