I tried to learn this one, but decided not to race as I was so slow. I thought about entering anyway and just trawling around some 30secs off the lead as I knew there wouldn't be many finishers. But that aint my idea of fun.
Am hoping that a mid 1:26 might be good for the midfield at Mosport. See you all there.

Devastated. Great lap in qualy, great start. fun battle with Goran who was way faster than me. running in P3 on last lap only to spin it ALL AWAY. Car was starting to oversteer. Why oh why couldn't I just have cruised to the finish. I'd have settled for 4th! This could have been my first podium since October 6th 2009, when I won my first ever amateurs race. Since then I have only managed a 5th, averaging P10. Sorry if I cocked anybodys race up trying to rejoin. Anyways, well done to everyone, the times were very good@!

Only just made the race as I was still installing my sound card, so couldn't do a qualy lap.
Turn 3, lap 1 and I was trying to pass a Lotus when a car was launched in front of me. I was fully comitted to the corner and unfortunately couldn't avoid a car that had been propelled to the inside of the corner.
Trying to put in a recovery drive, I was making some nice progress. I had what I consider to be a racing incident with S.Birds Lotus. I was on the outside and he probably didn't know I was there. I tried to leave room on the inside of the corner but maybe I pinched him a bit too much.
Then I had a battle with P.Thornton, whom I eventually passed and then passed K.Hiro. Tim Muttram had passed me but I was able to stay with him for a while before lack of talent saw me have a few lucky encounters with the barriers. Anyway, Clutch must have made a mistake or something, because I was 10 seconds down on him and all of a sudden...there he was. He almost lost it going into the last corner and I nearly collided with him.
Finally I passed Clutch on the straight, only to loose it in Turn 3. In my efforts to avoid going off, I slew across the corner and Clutch could not avoid an impact. Maybe in hindsight I should not have tried to correct the car so much and run around the corner on the gravel outside.
Anyhow, I was gaining again on Clutch during the last couple of laps and it looked like I might be able to finish an impressive P6. But then I lost it AGAIN and hit the wall.....then a spin...cars flew by and I was a bit damaged. Still the results say I was P7, which is a good result for me.

Blasted windows meant that I had to do a re-install of all software, anyhow I have got GPL back up and running. However, my ethernet connection is mysteriously not working so I can only connect via wireless.
I think that I'll turn up for qualyfying and see how warpy everything is. Perhaps I should sit this one out?

Nicky Ickx, sorry if I hit you. My replay doesn't show any contact though, maybe it was warp. I consider myself to be a clean racer, but if I made a mistake then sorry for that and I shall file an incident report so that the moderators can judge.
Anyway, looks like we've got an old fashioned Senna - Prost disagreement up the front there.

Personally, I enjoyed the shorter length of race. 'Couldn't keep up with the Brabhams ahead which at first I put down purely to my own lack of pace but I spent almost the whole race lapping with fellow-BRM drivers Ryeman & King Hiro'The BRM will surely be too the faster car at Rouen, Zeltweg and Watkins Glen, but those boys at the front are tough to match, let alone beat! The BRM was a blighter around Mexico, the first half of the lap was fine, but the second half was impossible with the front wheels scrubbing across the track. I tried to compensate by shifting the brake balance to 51% which is as far back as I have ever gone. I noticed in practice that someone seemed to be struggling with lock through the chicane. If you lower the steering ratio to 11 or 12, you will find you can make the tight turns. Ryeman.
