Tricky little track this one with lots of scope for crashing. I had an hours practise earlier in the week to learn the track and set up the car but perhaps I could have done with more time as the Cooper was a bit of a handful. I was satisfied with the front end grip but the rear of the car was all over the place! None the less, I was really pleased with my qualifying time which I set early on with a low fuel run. I quickly realized however that on full tanks the car was going to be too twitchy to push on and determined that I would not push too hard in the race. Come the green flag though and that though went up in tyre smoke and I pushed as best as I could but in truth I was struggling. I had been out all day and was frankly far too tired to be racing and sure enough I made mistakes, dropped positions, explored the grass and eventually slammed it into the barriers at the Ost curve. All in all, a poor race by anyone's standards, and a disappointment to me after the good result from Monza. Oh, well, that's life I suppose, Cy'all next time!

"Jason Blito and Pierre Demarle did a great job avoiding the mess."
Kind words but perhaps I am not deserving of such high praise, having qualified last I had the luxury of a leisurely cruise down the Curve Grande knowing there would be cars strewn all over the track by the time I got there. One simply cannot beat having a grandstand view of the carnage and time enough to ensure oneself does not get caught up in it. Perhaps if I spent more tokens on a better car then I may have been further up the grid and then I too would have ended my evening upside down and in flames. As it was I benefited enormously from my total lack of pace.

a cheap race for me - the copper costs hardly any tokens and is so damned stable it made the perfect car for my first GPL race in 18 months. I quallied last, but only just, and took a careful start. After picking my way through the carnage at T1 it was a case of just cruising round to the flag, not risking anything by trying to actually race any one. I drove an almost perfect, if a little slow race to blag 7th place and some points. Overall, a very satisfying comeback race.

Latency, Quality, Stupidity,
Bar 1 ( L ) measures the time it takes for a packet of data to get from your PC to the server and back again. Low is good. Bar 2 ( Q ) measures packet loss. iir full bar = 0 packet loss which is obviously good. Lost packets cause warpy crashes. Bar 3 ( S ) measures your performance. Low is good. Driving mistakes will push the meter up. Trying to win a forum debate against Hristo will cause the bar to max out resulting in instant ejection from the server. We call that the H Factor.
