1  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC Season 17 F1 1967 - Interlagos - May 19 on: May 17, 2021, 09:55:46 PM +0100
Like in previous week I won't be there for the race. Another football match this weds and this will probably become a good habit, apart for the day of the week Roll Eyes It's the only way I manage to train myself a bit after this damned shitty year.

So, I guess I will jump almost every race of the champ. I feel sorry about this, but it's the right thing to do. Hope you'll enjoy your races chaps!

See you  Wink

Hello chaps.

I'm sorry but I can't join this race cause I have a football match tomorrow and I'll be late for the start of the race. Hope to be there for the next.

Have fun
3  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC Season 17 - Spa Xtra Fun - Apr 28 on: April 28, 2021, 12:36:56 PM +0100
I downloaded everything, but I can't promise I'll manage to join this race. I hope so Smiley

In case, we'll see later Smiley
4  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC Season 17 - Hockenheim - Apr 21 on: April 22, 2021, 08:57:25 PM +0100
Race was well described by the comments above, so I can't add nothing apart to say thanks to Tim for another great duel between us. This combo was spectacular!

It's a pity for the incident but clearly no faults by anyone as it seemed more a lag issue by your description. When I hit the fence my wheel was bent to the left and left suspention was slightly damaged, so I decided to stay out of the race to avoid worse consequences. My eyes were very tired aswell cause I spend my days in front of a fuxxing monitor lately and I'm feeling it's not healthy for them  Angry

Hope to see yo for the next chaps Smiley

About GTR2/P&G, man I watched a couple of vids recently and there I can't agree with you.  Grin Despite the pleasant nostalgia, it was was just horrible.  Cheesy Then there are 2 aspects : the scenery whose I don't really mind, but the track detail itself which was pretty poor too of course, and this is more important I guess.  angel
And don't forget that Aris has been hired by Kunos to do the job for AC physics right after that beutiful creation that was P&G for GTR2. That was surely a masterpiece of a mod! I loved it! Car were super detailed, but add-on tracks layout were sometimes a bit poor. It was also very popluar around here for a couple of years to say the least!

I thought he even had created Kunos, but no idea actually. Yup I was a true P&G fanatic too. Though it had a couple important shortcomings. The tracks themselves of course didn't belong to Kunos.

"Kunos simulazioni" was founded by Stefano Casillo, creator of the sim "NetKar pro" (we're talking about the year 2006, and it was a very niche sim used by nobody Cheesy). Aris was hired right after P&G 3.0 was completed, to work on AC physics.

I guess it's only a matter of habit mate Smiley When you're used to low graphics settings you don't notice those details anymore.

@Tim - I know you're a wise man, don't worry Smiley

I'm not willing to put more money on this sim to be honest. If I were prone to spend money for every circuit I'd rather choose another sim, like iRacing. Payware content usually cause a drop in numbers on the grid, and to say the least I don't care at all about any graphic aspect on every sim. For me we could still play at GTR2/P&G without any issue. I used to play those sims with no more than 40 fps until 2015, so you can guess how much I care about the ultra-defined tufts of grass, buildings around the circuit and panoramas.  Roll Eyes

I raced recently in an italian GPL69 champ on this free version of Rouen and it was really good. As expected I had to pit a couple of times to repair my car and see the checkered flag  Grin

Didn't try Sundown yet. Provided there won't be issues for the other drivers, I guess it's better to race on it. You decide Wink

Tempted to just run Silverstone and save on the air fare

No please!

Why don't we go at Rouen? It's much more funny and rewarding to drive, even if I'll throw the car out of track at some point Cheesy

I'd like McLaren M5a or Brabham to try something different

I would agree with you if I had T-Boned the armco in a Grosjean style F1 Bahrain GP Maxime, but I didn't.

With my impact angle I wouldn't expect a complete stop from 130 kph to 0 in the space of 0 meters. The same didn't happened to Syd after he crashed on a slightly later spot of that armco.

Then we all know that AC is rubbish about damage model, and my race would have been compromised for sure in real life after a crash like that, but I guess we need to be very careful to attempt an overtake in that part of the track in order to avoid worse consequences for the drivers involved.

Unfortunately this track seems good in every part except for the chicane. If you touch the armco on the left your car is kaputt!

I quote myself just because maybe I wasn't clear enough. The trouble is not the chicane itself. In my last lap crash I didn't report damage for hitting chicane curbs. As I said in advance the real trouble is the armco on the left in the specific point in which I crashed on it, because I experienced this issue many times in my first practice laps some days before the race  angel angel

The angle with which you hit the armco is not relevant it seems. Your car will instantly explode in the air. Than you will see some anti Lambo mines planted under the surface exploding like a timed building demolition  Grin Grin Grin

Look to believe  Cheesy

No Syd, at the last lap I did it all by my own and our cars didn't came to contact.

This car is a crazy horse, but at least I had some fun with Jos for 20 mins or so. A bit brutal sometimes, but great fun Smiley

See you for the next
14  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: Weds 17/03/21 DTM Nordscheife Special on: March 19, 2021, 06:27:33 PM +0000
I'm sorry to haven't join this race, but I felt not so good with my stomach until yesterday evening, so I prefered to rest a bit in the end.

I hope to see you soon, and grats to Jos for his double!

Sabine in some way was with all of you on weds  Wink
15  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC Season 17 DTM Rnd 10 - Nürburgring - Mar 10 on: March 11, 2021, 11:44:52 PM +0000
A couple of good closing rounds by my side without any major mistake.

I had some luck in race 2 about Jos' misfortune for the jump start, because I'd have probably some busy time from 7th lap on, but we'll never know it unfortunately Cheesy

I want to thanks everyone for showing up in this great series that provided great racing in some way.

Thumbs up to Tim for arranging this great champ and for your 2nd place in the champ Wink

Many thanks to my faithful Fabri "Nannini" for helping me during the champ. Without his strenous fights my work would have been much more complicated Wink Well done for your 3rd place mate Smiley

And well done to the Sierra boys that spiced the things up throughout the champ. Great team effort for you 2!

Unfortunately I guess I cannot join the Nordschleife special of next week, but I'll be back soon Smiley
