Is it too late for me to jump into this series?

For years the 65's ran on the Tuesday night I was scheduled to work.. This series is running the Sunday of my weekend off!

Let me know, thanks.

Worked for me as well right out of the box. It is stunning.

Hello old friends, long time no see Smiley  Thanks Billy for the invite and I'll be ready to give this another go. Am currently building the Racebase MkII cockpit; hopefully this will improve my performance and "fun factor". The steering wheel clamped to the desk won't cut it anymore. I'll take the Brabham once again if it's avaliable. Thanks!

I don't know; been messing about in the Cooper and it seems like a lot of fun, might be a nice change from the Brabham. Let me know if it will be avaliable, thanks...

No way I can learn this track in time to even get up to my usual "menace" level of driving... Wink  So I'll be sitting this one out.
Hope to see you in two weeks at Zandy

I need an alternative to talking to the wife.

Welcome to my world  Grin
Seriously, I would love to race on Sunday; I am barely able to make the Tuesday show as it is due to being 5 hours behind you guys, and I need all the practice I can get.
Maybe we could throw Avus in there just to mix it up..

Incident report read and my apologies to Bernie and Rob.

I have no excuse for the incident with Bernie; the report tells the story.

The scary part about what happened with Rob is that I thought I had plenty of time to pull that U in front of him!! I'm not making an excuse; the server replay clearly shows how I turned right in front of him. My perception of the speed of his car was faulty to say the least. I did something similar to rog later in the race; thought I had plenty of time to pull out only to be T-boned.

Steep learning curve, then you get to the server races which are another thing entirely.  Embarrassed

L 20 part 1 =  Minardi still didn’t realise he`s gonna to be lapped

LOL!!
I can't wait to see the replay of this.
Really guys, please know that I'm always conscious of my mirrors and do the best I can to get out of your way without creating a Jochen Mass/Gilles Villeneuve situation. This was only my 2nd full race on the server.

EDIT: OK after watching the replay I'm not laughing so much. Just sent an apology to rog for my appallingly bad attempt at a rejoin.

So 11 laps in, I'm sliding merrily through the esses safely tucked into 4th place when the screen freezes. Engine roaring away, I'm frozen. Tried shift-r, enter, esc, nothing worked. Only ctrl-alt-delete got me out.

Finally managed to get past the inevitable 1st lap pile-up, thought I might finally finish a race, and cleanly to boot! Not today. Too bad Sad

Thanks guys, it was fun Wink

Hi all,
There's four versions of Oulton Park at the GPL track database.. Which one are we running?

Thanks,
Mark
It will be the John Black 1967 version - you can get it here

Got it, thanks!

Where do I sign up?? Here? Good! I'm in Wink

I believe Mr. Nobrakes discussed our team selection of the BT11 for the season; if it's not possible for all 4 of us to run the same chassis Billy and I would like to take the Honda, with Peter and Graham in the Brabham..

Nice one Pete,
Found my GPL experience is a bit more Rainbow than Deep Purple. Checked out the opposition lap times which brought me Down to Earth. My cornering was technique was Difficult to Cure leading to the car being Bent Out of Shape. Kept on going till my grid position starting Rising & somewhere over the Rainbow I shall find the magic set-up for the mighty Brabham BT11 which will make Black Night Racing Speed Kings & Highway Star's. Couldn't get in otherwise  but Long Live Rick n Roll.
... Bill

Bill,
Before long your GPL experience should take a turn toward DP, with increasing feelings of being Under The Gun as more and more drivers are Knocking At Your Back Door.. Wink
