Well done Malcolm I'm sure Joe will be watching!

Would be awesome if you ever got to race the Mini in the St Marys Trophy, good luck with it all.
2  UKGPL / UKGPL Announcements / Bye, for now on: January 12, 2013, 11:35:42 AM +0000
As some of you already know I've decided to take a break from GPL so Season 23 will be my last for now. My motivation isn't what it was, and if I don't get enough practice then it's hard to put in a decent performance.

I'd like to say a big thank you to John, Vos and Bill who gave me a lot of help and encouragement early on. I've had a great three years or so in the league and enjoyed racing with everyone. My season battling with Attilio in the Novices was pretty intense, but great fun and I will cherish the memories from that. Probably my favourite win though was at Lakeside in July 2011 when I got home after the birth of my son, learnt the track in practice, and managed to find my way through the field to win. A great day got even better!

UKGPL continues to go from strength to strength, which is good to see, hopefully I've done my bit by being a moderator for a while. You've got a great community here with a fine team of moderators so I'm sure things will be just as good when I make my return sometime in the future.

Happy racing everyone!

David Rainier's incredible consistency continued in Tripoli as he followed title rival Phil Thornton home to clinch the Privateers Trophy. Bravo David! Hendy Nichols still has a chance to overhaul Phil for second place, and with the track well known to everyone it should be a good last race of the season.

7  UKGPL / UKGPL Races / UKGPL Season 23 (2012) Works Trophy (67) - Mexico City - Dec 2 on: December 01, 2012, 08:49:55 AM +0000
After championship leader Hristo Itchov was mysteriously locked in the Waza team bus (Clark-Hill have strongly denied any involvement), Al Heller picked up an important victory which takes the title battle down to the wire at Mexico City.

Got squeezed off the track after T4, failed to make a s+r, so I hit esc...

Was this in the red zone?

I didn't actually confirm the red zone Axel so it would be best to submit a report.

A hat-trick for Hendy Nichols sees him mounting a Vettel-like comeback in the Privateers Trophy. Dave Rainier and Phil Thornton will need all of their skill and cunning to fend off his challenge in the closing races. The flat out blast of Lake Mellaha in Tripoli will reward those who have saved some tokens.

After the top three in the points standings fell by the wayside at Dijon, Bartosz Antoszcyszyn took a surprise win for Clark-Hill, with Arf^3 securing his best result of the season with second place. The teams now head to Lake Mellaha and the very fast circuit at Tripoli.

Hendy Nichols made it two in a row at Spa and is now mounting a serious challenge to long time leaders Phil Thornton and Dave Rainier. The Privateers season is approaching a thrilling climax as the drivers head to Dijon in France.

After scoring his maiden win last time out, can Attilio Artiglietti mount a late title challenge? The points battle is a lot closer when dropped scores are considered, so it's still all to play for as the Works drivers head over the border from Belgium into France.
