Nice to race again with the group. I'll need to practice more if I want to challenge John. I started to get back in the groove mid-race, but it still isn't enough. John was consistently .5 to 1 second a lap faster. Hopefully work will give me another break so I can join you guys again.

Tested last night and can't decide between the long-tail and the K .... bearing in mind its 2.4hrs the short-tail is more manageable but i'm 7 secs quicker in the long tail down to 3m20 I was disappointed at first this wasn't the Virtual_LM version but although it is not as pretty its the best layout of this track! Wish they never changed it! I was also considering the long tail as it is the quickest car, but I wanted to have someone to race against. There will be many 917K's out there and now a Ferrari 512 has joined the party so it was the logicial choice for me.

I had a nice start to the race, but a disappointing finish. I decided to run the Bergen instead of the Penske to try to handicap myself a bit. The Bergen has the same motor as the Penske, but much less tire. I was .7 to .8 seconds per lap quicker in the Penske. I was happy that I switched last minute because GT, Geoffers and I had a great race going. Geoffers was all over me the first few laps and could easily turn under me anywhere he pleased. Exiting turn 2, he clipped the apron and turned himself around leaving GT to chase me down.
GT closed within 2.5 seconds mid race. The Cobra lept off the corner, but suffered a little on the top end. It seemed like I got into turns 1 and 3 quicker and he got through 2 and 4 quicker. I could see Geoffers in the distance closing in on GT so I felt good with 15 or so laps to go. Eifleblitz ended up losing it between turns 1 and 2. I slowed to give my self some extra time to make a last minute move if needed, but it wasn't enough to dodge his car coming down the track perpendicular to the racing line. I hit him with a ton of force with the right front corner of my car sending him back up the track and me spinning drivers left. I tried to get the car going again, but it was severely damaged. It didn't resemble a race car at all as it crabbed down the road. I had to park it.
It was nice to race with you guys again. Hopefully I can get another reprieve from work to join you.

Everything Else / Chit Chat / Help needed to get headers from UK to USA

Guys
My E36 M3 race car project is coming along. I'm still in need of headers though. I'm shopping in the UK because all 1995 M3's and all the 3.2 EVO's came with the factory EURO headers.
I'm planning to purchase some headers from an E36 M3 on EBAY, but he seller isn't interested in shipping them to the states. Anybody here willing to help me out? The plan would be to have the EBAY seller ship them to you under the terms of the sale once I pay for the item and postage. Then, you ship the item to me in the states. I will cover all shipping costs. If there is interest, I will bid on the item that closes in a little over a day.

UKPnG / UKPnG Announcements / P&G Director
|
on: October 26, 2011, 04:03:01 PM +0100

Guys
I have not been able to attend races lately due to the fact that my work schedule has changed dramatically. Since I started racing with you, I went from 1 to 2 days a month working in New York to 1 day per week to 3 days a week. Couple those changes with a new race car build and the time available for me to devote to online racing has severely diminished. It is difficult for me to put in time to develop a series and then not be able to enjoy it.
Phspok has worked very hard during the past season to manage the server, develop race ideas and test cars. In my absence, he has been working with Tony to organize some off season events. I'd like to make that relationship official. Going forward, Phspok will be the P&G Director. He tells me he and Tony are brewing some interesting events for next season. Please join me in congratulating Phspok on the new title and for sharing his time with the group to organize racing for all.

I'm not sure why the password is not appearing on the top of the page. I'll send it to you in a PM Jamera.
I too prefer the original version with the high speed right in turn 1, but I can't find that version for P&G. Still, I find it interesting to see how tracks evolve over time.
