I just looked at Tony's GTL race announcement and noticed it was on the 1970 course. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that version doesn't have the chicane at the end of the front straight like the 1979 version that we are running here. Just a heads up...

I've prepared a non-championship/fun race for Thursday evening. It features fast cars on a fast track.

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Sorry I haven't been around guys. Work really has me in a choak hold lately. I'm working more and more in the city. Like Tony said, I hope I can make it to at least one of the events Matt and I planned.

All L88 Corvettes are on offer, but the Penske coupes are the clear choices to compete against the Cobra.

UKGTR Tiada 05. The server is running.

I started on pole, but decided to hang back on the 2nd lap to see if I could pass the field. All was going well until the AI punted me. My car was all screwed up afterwards, but I thought I may still be able to take the fight to the front. A few laps later, my computer locked up. Still, I enjoyed flogging these beasts around the track.

I'll second older Silverstone and Road America.
I'll add Watkins Glen, Riverside, the old A1 Ring.

I picked up the expansion pack tonight. I like how the steering and brakes feel all wobbly in the cars compared to the modern racers.
I took the Camaro out first. Suprisingly, the default set is very good.

Work continues to get in the way of my fun. I will not be able to make it guys. Enjoy the race.

I should run this one. It is my birthday. I'll have to pick up the expansion pack.

You can see the rivets holding the body panels in place. Even the trees and background scenery look nice.

Yes. You are right Syd. I slipped there. We will run version 1.1 linked to the race announcement thread.

Guys. I didn't have an opportunity to test version 1.2. I'd rather not change it with less than a week till race time either. If you have version 1.2, you can simply delete the track folder and install version 1.0 from the link found in the race annoucement.

This is a very cool track. It has a little bit of everything (speed, technical turns, blind turns, etc...). I expect to make it.

I think many drivers here have the original version already. Let me see what kind of complications can arrise from updating. I'll test tonight after work.
